This Sunday, after weeks of taunting, Nia Jax will finally get her hands on former best friend, and current tormentor, Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
I spoke to Nia about the ‘Mania match up, which is for Alexa’s long-held RAW Women’s title, and asked about what it was like to participate in her most personal feud to date. “First of all,” she laughed, “I wasn’t aware that fans have been wanting me to face Alexa for a long time.”
“This is years of hard work finally paying off,” Jax continued. “The fact that she’s been my best friend for last four years on the roster adds to it because there’s a lot of stuff going on right now on an emotional level in the storyline. It’s taking a toll on me because I loved her, and I love her as a best friend, but now she’s betrayed me. Some of this is really happening. She’s actually really hurt me. Some of the stuff she’s saying is stuff that I’ve confided in her backstage or in the car.”
