Nintendo, Sony Update Their Warranty Policies Following FTC Warning

Nintendo and Sony have both updated their warranty policies after receiving FTC warnings.

The FTC reached out to Sony and Nintendo last month, along with four other companies that reportedly included Microsoft, Hyundai, HTC, and ASUS, according to GamesIndusty.biz. The companies were warned that their warranty policies were “deceptive under the FTC Act” and were given 30 days to comply, with the threat of legal action if they failed to do so.
