Futuristic Combat Racer Grip Gets New Trailer, Fall Release Date

Futuristic combat racer Grip will launch this fall on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC, publisher Wired Productions announced today.

All told, Grip will feature 19 tracks on said alien worlds, which Wired Productions describes as “hostile.” Players will choose from a roster of 15 armored cars and will have 11 weapons and power-ups to help them survive the hazardous races. And similarly to Mario Kart 8, racing won’t be restricted to roads. Players will also be able to drive up ceilings and “anything else players can land their tires on.”

Developed by Caged Element, Grip has been available on Steam Early Access for $19.99 since February 2016 and is a spiritual successor to the 1999 PlayStation racer Rollcage, a fanmade redux of which led to Grip’s creation.
