Even before their release, Pokemon Sword and Shield became the most controversial entries into the Pokemon video game franchise. But now that fans have had a chance to play the games is that still the case?
Some sentiment towards Sword and Shield turned negative after developer GameFreak revealed the complete national Pokedex wouldn’t be available in the games for the first time. Meaning, fans can’t trade over half of all Pokemon from across the many previous games into Sword and Shield.
