Dishonored 2 Black & White Mode Gameplay

Dishonored 2 has a new black and white mode offering a whole new aesthetic to experience. Here's what that looks like in this gameplay video, captured on PC.

Bethesda has something new for Dishonored 2 and its DLC follow-up, Death of the Outsider. The game now includes some new free content that can change how you sneak around, magically assassinating targets.

The first new change is a black and white mode, which you can check out in the video above. It removes the colors from the world of Dishonored 2 to give it a comic book-like, film noir look. But it's not all old movie aesthetic. Developer Arkane Studios did leave one element's colors in the game: the blood. The new spin on Dishonored 2's visuals gives the game and Death of the Outsider a very moody feel.

The second addition is a mission plus mode, which allows you to dial back through Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider and replay levels you've already completed. Instead of going in with whatever powers you've unlocked at that point in the game, though, you can revisit missions with your full kit of abilities and weapons, allowing you to mess around with the different stages and experiment with various ways to play them.

There's one caveat to getting this new stuff in your Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider: you'll need a Bethesda.net account. It's easy to create one if you need it on Bethesda's website. Once you have it, you'll need to sign in to the account from title screen of both games in order to unlock the new content. Get all the details in our story about the new content additions.
