The one plus I'll give this movie is that I am glad they didn't try to imitate Robin Williams' genie. I think anyone else trying to do that performance other than the man himself (RIP) would fall flat on its face. An original take on Genie was the way to go.

I'm not gonna lie, FOR KIDS...I could totally understand this movie....FOR KIDS!! And they almost had me...right up until that chick stood up and started screaming (not singing) "A WHOLE NEW WORLD"....

Ugh!

Somewhere Peabo Bryson is putting together a pipe bomb to mail to that broad.

I can't say much about being mad for watching this...I'll just say that I'M the butt hole just BECAUSE I watched it. Can't attack anybody but myself for this one.

Oh my god, this looks terrible. I'm not sure I will ever understand doing a live action version of a cartoon/anime that simply rehashes everything the anime did. Just making it live action is not really an adaptation. In fact, if anything, it removes the ability to suspend disbelief and all of a sudden the tone falls flat.

@howlingfantod: I think its extremely difficult but not impossible. If a live action recreation does follow that closely to the source material, it needs to have the proper special effects and characters charming enough so that they best resemble the original animation. I liked the new Beauty and the Beast a lot, but I am kind of skeptical of Aladdin at this point.

By other MCU box office standards Cap Marvel had the biggest solo opening from a non-sequel superhero movie after Black Panther. In comparison to the rest it is still a certified hit and a smashing success.

Definitely better then the first trailer but it was my fav Disney movie growing up so anything they do will not satisfy me to be honest. Hope its decent.
