Doom Vs. Wolfenstein - Which Is Better? | Versus

Bethesda brought back Doom and Wolfenstein from the dead, and now it's time to see which is better. Fighting for Wolfenstein is Kallie Plagge, and defending Doom is Jean-Luc Seipke. Watch and decide who you think argued their case better in our poll!

Wolfenstein and Doom are two of Bethesda's most beloved properties, and both have been successfully revived in recent years, following their 1990s heydays. Wolfenstein: The New Order, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and 2016's Doom reboot have all breathed new life (and gruesome, gruesome death) into the two franchises, and now we have another entry coming in the form of Doom Eternal, which was announced at E3 2018. That, along with Wolfenstein II's imminent Switch launch and upcoming standalone expansion, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, got us thinking: which franchise is better?

We decided to sit down and have a lighthearted but passionate debate about which first-person shooter series we prefer. Fighting for Wolfenstein and its over-the-top Nazi-killing antics is resistance faithful Kallie Plagge. On Doom's demon-slaying side, meanwhile, is would-be John Romero romancer Jean-Luc Seipke.

Watch the video above to see how the debate turned out. The discussion begins with randomly selected topics, and the pair argue in support of their respective picks. Alongside the serious analysis from each side, there's also some friendly fun-making and jokes at each other's expense. Be sure to watch till the end to see the quickfire round, which gets a little goofy.

Last week we put another two Bethesda games up against each other: Fallout 3 vs Fallout: New Vegas. In that episode, Dave Jewitt's New Vegas argument got a critical hit on Mike Mahardy and Fallout 3, taking 84% of the votes. Make sure to get your voice heard this week by voting for who you think won the debate on YouTube or by commenting down below. Check back next week for another episode of Versus; new episodes drop every Wednesday at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM BST / 11 PM AET on GameSpot.com and YouTube.
