man this game is epic! i love what they did with the summons and how they actually fight with you! kinda like how they did with summons in 12 if i remember right. cant wait to see more.

I refuse to get excited about this because of ONE major complaint.....THERE'S NO PC VERSION!!!

I've been waiting like crazy for this game, just like everybody else. Finally get it, then the carpet gets yanked out from under me. That really sucks.

@HarlemVIP: Square also knows this was developed by SONY for SONY. It's meant to sell consoles. Just like God of War. Spiderman. Bloodborne.

It's like complaining that Mario isn't getting a PC release.

I stopped buying consoles the very day PS3 came out and I saw they were expecting RENT MONEY for the damn thing...and it wasn't even backwards compatible. Then they started coming out with console after console, and got more and more expensive. So....I did exactly what YOU suggested...I got the necessary hardware. Over the years, I discovered all the wonderful things I could do with a PC, so I got one, and stuck with it. So now, if it's not on PC, I feel that IT SHOULD BE. Especially since we live in a time where these game devs feel that EVERYTHING should be online, for some reason. It literally makes no sense NOT to have a PC version of nearly everything.

And besides, PC games are generally way cheaper...

@HarlemVIP: You got hardware sure. But you didn't get the necessary hardware to play this game. From a business perspective it makes perfect sense. Develop software specifically for your hardware to get people to buy your hardware.

You don't have to buy a PS4. You don't have to play this game. Simple.

I was worried when they first announced they were re-working the combat system but everything I have seen thus far looks extremely well thought out and well done. I can deal with episodic if the game itself is great.

@jecht187: You arent going to be able to play this game like you did in the past. After this, the real game starts. Materia combos, 3d rendered Nibilheim, Black Mountain, Junon, End crater, that cave with the big moving weapon eye in the ice, Wutai (you think they will put the effort into recreating this town?) , etc etc etc.

Ill eat my words if I see it, but everything that we all have seen would not compare to a game with all the original content of the game. Sure they will add, but what they subtract is what will kill this.

edit: ****ing Temple of the ancients, that big snowy area, that big skeleton area where ****** dies. The submarine sidequest (where you get a different sub)... how much of this do you think will be in the game?

@kiggor: I suggest playing the original game. Like, get to know it... Midgard is 10 percent of the game. Maybe less if you factor in all the materia combos (wont be in this game), enemy skills (wont be in this game), and master materia (also wont be in this game) as content. It has taken half a decade for this.

@kiggor: I do. Remember when they said they would make this, only until they feel their last game exceeded FF7 quality? Well:

1)That hasnt happened

2)They lost the original 3d renders, for the prerendered backgrounds

3)The combat system erases many Materia. This is part of the game called Final Fantasy 7.

Thats why, this game does not deserve any fanboy hype. Anyone who is a true fan of this game's intricacies and knows anything about development is shaking their head.
