@mistertech: "If it's not for you....... buy the og" I'm so sick of this notion. Like I have no business even having an opinion about buying the new model. wtf is that nonsense?

I already have the regular model. I was looking forward to replacing the current model with this mini one. Built in joycons, a real d-pad, and BEST of all finally small enough that it doesn't require you bring a backpack or something with you.

The absolute best thing about the switch is that it works like a normal console, but you get the 'option' to take it with you. Dropping the TV-out completely kills that. It's no longer a hybrid system. You HAVE to play it in handheld mode. The entire point of "The Switch" is that you can 'switch' between console and handheld play. That's the whole gimmick. It would be like dropping motion controls from the Wii.

Whoopdie-doo for folks who only care about handheld mode. Just because they enjoy it doesn't mean I'm gonna think dropping the TV-Out is any less stupid of a decision. I don't care about them or what they want, I care that I was looking forward to upgrading my hardware for like a year and Nintendo pulls this back-asswards nonsense move on us.

Maybe you disagree, that's fine, I don't really care - but it doesn't make my perfectly logical conclusion/opinion on the hardware any less valid.

@mistertech: actually its stupid. Portable games dont belong on tv, and vice versa.
