Pokemon Go developer Niantic has kicked off a new in-game event called The Battle Showdown which allows players to catch more fighting-type pokemon and a chance to catch, for the first time, Shiny Mankey and Machop for the first time. You can receiving twice as much Stardust and XP in the event if you catch pokemon or battling. Be sure to catch the Legendary Dialga from now till March 28th in raid battles and the next Community Day starring Treecko starts March 23rd.
