Sony Is Refunding Some Players for Anthem's PS4 Crash Bug - GS News Update

Seriously? that could damage the firmware! avoid it like the plague unless you want an excuse to throw your ps4 to the trash bin.

EA's money grubbing policy to do all in house games on the terrible frostbite engine and thereby saving time and money not making engines has been biting them in the ass time and again, they must know everyone that has worked on frostbite for anything other then a standard fps type game would be able to attest to just how bad frostbite is.

it was the same with fallout 76, the game was suffering from bugs that were present in the very first iteration of the engine, 20+ years ago their first elder scrolls. and they plan to make their future games on it? hahaha...

every battlefield that comes out requires that you wait a full year for normal fixes, like spawns shotgun balance and other such shit, purely because frostbite is archaic and only capable of so much.

and as devs lose their creative freedom they stop caring about working for a shit company like EA and go somewhere else. And that's where ea is now, as creatively bankrupt as they have been morally since... forever. lets watch em burn, and die slow stop buying their overpriced shit.

This game is so bad they should refund everyone and release it again a year from now when it's actually done.

This makes me so glad I didn't get it, what with the poor reviews and now consoles crashing on both PS4 and Xbox, Serves you right for getting it on day one. should have left it a few weeks or months, until the game has changed and dirt cheap.

With the worry of your console getting bricked, are you still going to play it ?

Can someone paste the URL of where we should complain about this bug? I would love to report mine for sure. I just want to hit the Plat trophie on it first (im at 89%). But doing so made my PS4 crash 5 times already after the Day 1 Patch. Might not be worthy to finish it.

What refunds? I've had 2 major crashes, had to take out the power cable for some time to start the ps4 again, if I don't do that the controller is just blinking and the ps4 is dead. Happens when I turn off Anthem from the PS menu, luckily my ps4 has not been broken, yet.

No they're not.... I've had my PS4 shut down from this game and they still didn't refund me. I've only played it for less than 10 hours and had 3 PS4 shutdowns and a dozen game crashes on a PS4 Pro new from October 2018.

They said because I played the game, it isn't eligible for a refund.

Its a crap broken mess , this only strengthens the point.

Ea should care more about what they release and their customers and charging £49 (UK) for this abomination is a joke.

Its so sad as there are some great elements to it.

I've had the PS crash issue and it was very disconcerting when it happened for the second time, I thought that my day one machine was giving up the ghost but researching the issue put my mind at ease when I discovered that other Anthem gamers were suffering the same error. It causes the firmware to malfunction in some way especially when shutting down, it also seems to cause the hardware to run hotter than usual and causes the fan on my console to kick in even after shutdown. BioWare AND Sony are responsible here; BioWare for the patch itself and Sony for not testing the patch prior to release to the public which they are supposed to do.

I'm not going to be playing Anthem anymore until the issue has been patched, there's no way I'm risking my PS being bricked.
