Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse | What We Learned At NYCC

Sony unveiled the first 35 minutes of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse at New York Comic Con. Mike and Meg chat about the exclusive footage and what to expect in the upcoming film.

One of the most talked about movie at NYCC 2018 was Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, a feature-length animated movie in which Spidey encounters many different versions of himself and has to save reality against the evil Kingpin.

Recently it was revealed that alongside Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacey, the 1940s hero Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker (aka SP//dr), and Spider-Ham will be featured in the movie. This means there are no fewer than six Spideys within the movie.

We got to check out the first 35 minutes of the film and felt it was fast-moving, funny, spectacularly animated, and shaping up to be a must-see this Christmas. You can hear more about what we thought in the video above.

Into The Spider-Verse is produced by The Lego Movie's Phil Lord and Chris Miller, with a screenplay by Lord. The voice cast includes Shameik Moore (The Get Down) as Miles, Jake Johnson (Jurassic World) as Peter, Hailee Steinfeld (Bumblebee) as Gwen, plus Nicolas Cage (Mandy), Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), and Mahershala Ali (Luke Cage). Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse hits theaters on December 14.
