Hopefully this will be pretty similar to the first game - which I played all the way through solo and loved it. It was a fantastic game.

But is it just me or does this GS video talk more about being on your own, but still playing MP? I'm only interested in playing the campaign, solo, so hopefully it will be like the first game.

Playing alone can be a frustrating experience, if you don't mind repeatedly dying to spawns thay teleport behind you and start over the missions again and again until you find your way through its doable, but less than the first one.

On a positive note though with random guys you can eadily beat your missions...

I have been playing mostly solo. I havent died a ton, you have to watch what your doing and do cover tactics, use your skills and build your Charater for how you play. You cannot just run through enemies like the last one, I played one mission with a group it was okay but most players are just rushing though, which for me it's not that fun, I prefer to look around. It can definitely be played solo, along with the dark zone. Lots of fun especially when a hunter pops out just wandering around the streets in the night. Solo, friends, other players you will enjoy the game and I'm only level 15 and still enjoying the experience

I played thru Div 1 story solo and it was doable. Couldn't go in the Dark Zone b/c I'd be ganged up. I've watched 15+ youtube gameplays and written reviews of Div 2 and they all say it's not only not fun to play solo it's basically not doable unless you want to die 10,000x. The mechanics have been altered so it's more about positioning, flanking, healing... basically all things you can't do solo. The title of this video is misleading too since most of it is talking about matchmaking. I'll still probably buy it and regret it because I just like the graphics/mechanics but I wouldn't suggest other people do.

@jsmill9: The title of the article is deceiving then. It may however be remotely possible, after several attempts, to get into a squad of human players who are normal, decent human beings to get through this game. It may even be good time as well, at least the majority of it. If you're persistent good things could happen. I may plan to do that sometime in the faraway future.

This article is untrue, the game is totally geared towards multiplayer. If you are not playing with others, expect to die and reset hundreds of times. No matter how far away, or what gear. Without a team you will not be able to keep up with the overly tuned AI with unreasonable powerful weapons. Unfortunately, most games are multiplayer, and humans are toxic. I hate playing with others due to the toxicity, and unsportsmanlike game play.

@minusangel: Thanks for the warning, I share the same sentiment about playing with others at least in the COD-type of games. There are some truly deranged individuals out there and some who think they need to prove something (while the only thing they prove is why their IQ score is so low). It's usually borderline comical. I'll be skipping this one for now.

@minusangel: Thanks for the honesty. I never played division and like you only play single player. Some people tell me its great solo and others not

@wjveryzer: It's not great, the game has severe texture streaming issues on console that are just distracting even on Xbox one X. I'd play it on PC if you are able to.

Menus are terrible and would be far easier to control with a mouse too.

I'd suggest to set up shortcuts for the controller before you start or it will just lead to frustration having to use ingame menus to do anything.

It runs smoothly though that is one good thing but there isn't much variety to actual mission objectives. For solo only you would be pretty bored in 4-5 hours i would say.

This is yet another game really aimed at online play.

I for one need that flexibility. Iā€™m glad the game supports a fun single game element!
