Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes - 16 Minutes of Co-op Gameplay | PAX West 2018

Travis Touchdown is back for the Nintendo Switch. We got a chance to check out the game's co-op at PAX West 2018.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is the upcoming game from Grosshopper Manufacture and Goichi Suda (also known as Suda51), a spin-off for the No More Heroes series that still stars brash protagonist Travis Touchdown. The game takes on a slightly different form--instead of the open world touch of the mainline games, Travis Strikes Again takes on a more hack-and-slash style within distinct levels.

We got our hands on the game at Nintendo's showcase during PAX West 2018 and played through a level in co-op and defeated a boss to top it off. You can pull off special co-op attacks, bust through hordes of enemies, and save your game in classic No More Heroes style by simply going to the bathroom.

As for the story, Travis is attacked by Badman, the father of Bad Girl (who was a boss in the first game). In trying to avenge his daughters death, both Travis and Badman get thrown into a demonic game console called the Death Drive Mk-II and have to fight their way through the dangerous games within the Death Drive. Unfortunately for them, they have to cooperate to survive as Player 1 takes on the role of Travis and Player 2 takes on Badman.

Nintendo announced that the official release date for Travis Strikes Again is January 18, 2019 and it'll be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Be sure to check out our other gameplay videos from PAX West for other Switch titles like Bastion, Transistor, and Samurai Gunn 2.
