March is nearly here, which means Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon players will soon be able to get their hands on the games’ next free Legendary Pokemon, Regigigas and Heatran. However, unlike February’s free gifts, Dialga and Palkia, The Pokemon Company is distributing the two new Legendaries in North America via its Pokemon Trainer Club newsletter, which you’ll need to sign up for by March 1 in order to get them.
To register for the newsletter, you’ll need to create a Pokemon Trainer Club account on the official Pokemon website. You can create a free account here. If you’re already a member of the website, log in and check if you’ve opted-in to receive email updates to make sure you don’t miss out on the newsletter.
The Trainer Club newsletter will be distributed sometime in March and will contain a download code for the Legendary Pokemon, which can be redeemed in any seventh generation Pokemon game. As with February’s distribution, the one you receive will depend on which version you’re playing: Sun and Ultra Sun players will get Regigigas, while Moon and Ultra Moon players will receive Heatran.
To redeem your download code, choose Mystery Gift from the games’ main menu and select the option to receive your gift via code/password. When prompted, input the download code and your Legendary Pokemon will be downloaded. You can then pick it up from the deliveryman waiting inside any of the games’ Pokemon Centers.
The Pokemon Company is also distributing Regigigas and Heatran throughout Europe in March, and fans across the pond will be able to get them a little more easily. Unlike the North America giveaway, the Legendaries will be available as a Mystery Gift. After selecting that option from the main menu, choose to get your gift via the internet and the Pokemon will be downloaded into the game. The free gift will be available in Europe until March 24.
