Final Fantasy 7 Remake director Tetsuya Nomura has admitted the game was unveiled too early.
Speaking to Italian website Multiplayer (via Kingdom Hearts Insider), Nomura expressed that he knows the project may have been announced prematurely. However, Square Enix wanted to get ahead of possible leaks by revealing the remake way ahead of time.
“I am well aware of the fact that we announced it too early, but even in the industry, word was beginning to spread that we were working on the game, so we just decided not to keep it more secret and officially reveal it,” Nomura said.
