Ghost of Tsushima’s Weather Will Change Based on Your Playstyle

Ghost of Tsushima features a dynamic weather system that occurs in real-time as Jin Sakai is working to save his homeland from the invading Mongols. However, it has been revealed that more storms will occur as Jin goes deeper down the Ghost path.

Speaking to Gamespot, Ghost of Tsushima creative director Nate Fox explained that, “The game is definitely scripted to provide more storms as you do things which are extremely Ghost driven.”

Jin Sakai begins his journey as an honorable samurai, but to defeat his enemies that threaten his home, he must walk a more dishonorable path by using stealth and striking from the shadows.

[ignvideo url=”https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/07/22/ghost-of-tsushima-best-moments-from-our-live-stream”]

Mongols faced early on are meant to be taken down by using the skills of a samurai, but Ghost of Tsushima gradually unlocks Ghost skills for you as the difficulty ramps up and naturally encourages players to embrace this different way.

The weather follows Jin’s journey, and begins much calmer. Yet, if the player chooses to utilize the Ghost path more as the game progresses, the storms become more frequent and areas will become a bit darker, which runs in parallel to Jin’s evolution.

It’s important to remember that players can choose to change the weather at any point with their flute, but this is a nice touch to a game that doesn’t feature a traditional morality meter.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Dreaming Guide – Dream Addresses, How To Dream

Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ update 1.4.0 brought with it several new features, including a major online component from Animal Crossing: New Leaf on 3DS–Dream Suite! You can now dream in New Horizons, which means you can visit carbon copies of other players’ islands as well as upload one of your own for other people to visit. This way, you can explore other players’ islands while they’re offline–maybe to get some decorating inspiration, for example–and show off your own island without fear of people trampling your flowers or stealing items.

Below we detail everything you need to know about dreaming in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, including the requirements, what you’re allowed to do in a dream, how to visit a dream island, and how to upload your own island.

Luna explaining the basics of dreaming in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Luna explaining the basics of dreaming in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

How To Dream In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

  • Requires: internet connection with a Nintendo Online subscription, 1x bed

In order to dream in New Horizons, you’ll need an internet connection and an active Nintendo Online subscription. You’ll also need any kind of bed in-game; you should have received Luna’s bed in the mail after downloading the update, but anything you can lie down on will do. Once you lie down, you’ll be given a dialogue prompt; select “Yeah, I want to sleep” to initiate dreaming.

The first time you do this, you’ll meet a tapir named Luna who acts as a guide to dreaming. Luna will walk you through the basics of dreaming before you can begin browsing or upload your own island.

How To Visit Dream Islands

Your first option when dreaming is to visit other players’ islands. In order to do so, you’ll need your destination’s dream address. Similar to Switch friend codes or New Horizons creator codes, dream addresses are 12-digit codes preceded by “DA.” A friend will have to give you their dream address, or you’ll have to find one by browsing websites like Reddit and Twitter.

To enter a dream address and visit another player’s island in a dream, follow these steps:

  • Lie on any bed and select “Yeah, I want to sleep”
  • Select “I want to dream”
  • Enter the desired dream address

Once Luna has connected you to the internet and downloaded the dream island, you’ll appear on your bed in the dream island’s plaza so you can begin exploring.

What Can You Do On A Dream Island?

While on an island, you can fully explore, enter the villagers’ and players’ houses, visit the museum, and talk to villagers; however, you cannot enter Resident Services, Able Sisters, or Nook’s Cranny. You also cannot bring any items with you–Luna will “hold” the items in your pockets for you until you wake up–and you won’t keep anything you find on the island.

You can also use the terminal outside Resident Services, which is the same kiosk you’ll normally find in Able Sisters, to download any of the player’s custom designs. For more information on how this works, see our guide to custom designs in New Horizons.

How To Leave A Dream Island

When you’re finished exploring a dream island, return to your bed outside Resident Services and lie down again. Follow Luna’s prompts to “wake up” and return to your real island.

How To Report A Dream Island

If you encounter a dream island with inappropriate content, you can press the minus button to report it while you’re still in the dream. Luna will then “wake” you.

How To Upload Your Island

In addition to exploring other players’ dream islands, you can also upload a dream version of your own island for others to visit. To do this and generate your own dream address:

  • Lie on any bed and select “Yeah, I want to sleep”
  • Select “I’d like to share a dream”

You can then share your dream address with other players.

Fortnite Reveals Coral Castle, And It’s Basically Atlantis

Fortnite’s battle royale map got a big overhaul at the start of the season due to “The Device” event causing a massive flood, and it has continued evolving ever since. In its latest update, Epic Games added an area previously hidden underwater, and it appears to essentially be the lost city of Atlantis.

Technically, this area is called Coral Castle, and it is located north of the Sweaty Sands area. Previously covered with water from the flood, it has receded enough to show off a glorious and very small hidden city. The centerpiece here is a breathtaking castle, as you can see in the video below. There are plenty of points for cover in the castle, making it ideal for defending against multiple enemies late in a match.

From the video, it appears the castle was originally called “Carl.” This is almost certainly a reference to the popular Walking Dead meme.

Coral Castle is just the latest Aquaman-themed content to come to Fortnite. This season has featured Aquaman’s trident and themed challenges, as well as a chance to get a skin based on Jason Momoa’s version of the character from the films. The most recent challenges task you with collecting stone at Rapid’s Rest and finding balls of yarn at Catty Corner. We can only assume Coral Castle challenges will involve making bad dad jokes or finding fish.

Here’s Why the Star Wars Movies Might Need to Swap Names

Netflix podcast host Kris Tapley created a silly stir recently with a minute-long TikTok showcasing an argument for renaming all the Star Wars Skywalker Saga movies.

Titled “Why Every Star Wars Film Has the Wrong Title,” the video quickly, and humorously, takes viewers through all nine episodes, rearranging the titles — from Episode I: The Phantom Menace to Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker — to explain why they should all be switched up.

Check it out…

Here’s Tapley’s suggested naming:

  • Episode I: The Rise of Skywalker
  • Episode II: Revenge of the Sith
  • Episode III: Attack of the Clones
  • Episode IV: Return of the Jedi
  • Episode V: The Force Awakens
  • Episode VI: The Last Jedi
  • Episode VII: The Empire Strikes Back
  • Episode VIII: A New Hope
  • Episode IX: The Phantom Menace

So what did y’all think? Does this new sorting of titles make sense? Do they make more sense than where they are now?

In other movie news, Courteney Cox is returning for Scream 5, Michael Jackson tried to play Professor X in 2000’s X-Men, and Karl Urban (The Boys, LOTR) revealed he had a secret cameo in The Rise of Skywalker.

The Batman: Dave Bautista Tried His Best to Play Bane

At the end of last year, Guardians of the Galaxy star, and ex-WWE superstar, Dave Bautista tweeted out a picture of himself on the Warner Bros. lot with the caption “It won’t come to you so get after it!! #DreamChaser.”

It now seems as though Bautista was there to pitch himself as Bane for Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

Recently, responding to a comment online where the tweeter wrote that he’d read an article speculating that Bautista could be playing Bane, Bautista explained that he had tried his best to win the role.

Take a look!

On the known villain front, The Batman will feature Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, and Colin Farrell as Penguin.

The Batman, which paused production due to COVID-19 last March, was one of several films that got cleared to resume shooting soon.

A few weeks ago, it was announced that Warner Bros. had ordered a TV spinoff to The Batman – a prequel series focused on the members of the Gotham City Police Department that will be exclusive to HBO Max.

The Batman will be a part of DC’s FanDome event on August 22.

The Best Movie Twins Ever

It’s often said that twins share a special bond that original recipe siblings don’t have. Famous for finishing each others sandwiches sentences, twins have also been known to inhabit a movie or two – from a crusading galactic duo connected by the Force to super-powered beings created in a lab by Hydra.

Ahead of Twins Days Weekend, we’ve compiled a list of the best and most notable movie twins around. Sometimes these characters are secret twins who don’t even know of each others’ existence while other times the two are inseparable warriors who always have each others’ backs when battling evil. In rare occasions, the twins are mortal enemies, with one determining the other must die.

From Star Wars to Austin Powers to burgeoning Avengers, here are the best movie twins ever…

[widget path=”global/article/imagegallery” parameters=”albumSlug=the-best-movie-twins-ever&captions=true”]

Luke and Leia (Star Wars Skywalker Saga)

7181033e-9e2e-49a7-a0c2-cd0937308d4e-luke-leia-star-warsPerhaps the most famous cinematic twins of all time are Luke and Leia (Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher), the children of Anakin and Padme who were spirited away from their home, and each other, to protect them from the sinister clutches of The Galactic Empire. One raised a princess, the other a farmer, these two would be drawn together by fate, and the Force, long before even knowing they were related.

Philippe Bourbon and King Louis XIV (The Man in the Iron Mask)

Man-Iron-Mask-2Leonardo DiCaprio played the identical twin roles of King Louis XIV and his brother, Phillippe, who was purposefully raised separately so he’d know nothing of his royal heritage and therefore never start a war for the throne. Once Phillippe was discovered, the corrupt and cruel Louis imprisoned his brother and kept him inside an iron mask to conceal his identity. It fell to the Four Musketeers to help right this wrong.

Wanda and Pietro Maximoff (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

5400d6e969beddd260a12329-2In the comics, Wanda and Pietro — played by Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the MCU — were the mutant children of Magneto (and Pietro/Peter still is in the X-Men movie franchise) but Marvel Studios had no access to mutants so instead these two, who were introduced fully in Avengers: Age of Ultron, were Sokovian protestors who volunteered to to be a part of Wolfgang von Strucker’s Hydra experiments. They were the only two to survive the Scepter/Mind Stone’s meddling, and came out on the other side with incredible abilities.

Hallie Parker and Annie James (The Parent Trap)

243fe9b84cbed3caac7eea3d68a90c67Whether we’re talking about the 1998 Parent Trap starring Lindsay Lohan, or the 1961 original starring Hayley Mills, this story, based on the 1949 German novel Lottie and Lisa, is one of the most famous twin stories ever as two identical young girls, who’ve been raised apart since birth never knowing they had a sister, meet up and cutely conspire to get their divorced parents back together.

Dr. Evil and Austin Powers (Austin Powers Trilogy)

mike-myers-dr-evilIn a groovy homage to Luke and Leia’s plot twist twineage, or even the Vader “I am your father” reveal, the Austin Powers movie franchise eventually revealed that Dr. Evil was Powers’ long-lost twin brother. With both characters played by Mike Myers, of course, this was an example of twins being on opposite sides of the law and/or global conflict and/or laser sharks.

Fred and George Weasley (Harry Potter Franchise)

ee1883ad683f036f6066c4478a40fec3-2

Ah, the Weasley Twins. Two identical brothers, played by James and Oliver Phelps in all eight Harry Potter movies. Smart enough to drop out of Hogwarts to pursue their true calling – pranks! Opening the thriving Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes joke shop, the twins were called back to action and, as part of Dumbledore’s Army, battled Voldemort and his Death Eaters as they assaulted their old school. The war would cost Fred his life.

Charlie and Donald Kaufman (Adaptation)

01new-to-stream-aug-slide-9688-videoSixteenByNineJumbo1600

If you thought Nicholas Cage would miss out on the whole “acting opposite yourself” phenomenon, you’re sorely mistaken. In Adaptation, Cage played a meta-version of writer/director Charlie Kaufman, as a sad and self-sabotaging artist, as well as his fictional twin brother, the confident and together Donald.

Kit and Jiff Ramsey (Bowfinger)

image-w1280

Eddie Murphy, who’s no stranger to playing multiple roles in one movie, got to do the twin thing in Bowfinger, where he played a hugely successful, and paranoid, movie star named Kit as well as Kit’s dorky brother Jiff who Steve Martin’s character uses to double for Kit in a film he’s shooting “around” Kit to make it seem like Kit’s starring in his new movie.

Chad and Alex Wagner (Double Impact)

1*NyUFnXVsHUamgpTZYYWCXQBy 1991, Jean-Claude Van Damme had been a kickboxer, an undercover cop, and a cyborg – so why not twin brothers? Separated at birth to protect them from a crime lord, both Chad and Alex grew up to be martial arts experts. Chad as a laid-back instructor in Los Angeles and Alex as a gruff smuggler in Hong Kong.

Connor and Murphy MacManus (The Boondock Saints)

boonAfter killing two Russian mobsters in self-defense, fraternal twins Connor and Murphy (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus) become bullet-blasting vigilantes on a mission to rid Boston of its criminal element. The Boondocks Saints became a sleeper hit and cult favorite, warranting a sequel, The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, 10 years later.

Milo and Maggie Dean (The Skeleton Twins)

541c891b76760Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig played suicidal siblings in the 2014 indie dramedy The Skeleton Twins. As Milo and Maggie, Hader and Wiig played a depressed and despondent duo who turn to each other during severely low points in their adult life.

Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss (The Social Network)

7bcf4222db2f88b2a60ec28904219d38Though not the star of The Social Network, Armie Hammer’s dual portrayal of real-life entrepreneurs, the Winklevoss Twins, was a standout element from the Oscar-winning David Fincher film. The gig essentially put Hammer on the map, helping him land lead roles in big genre films like The Lone Ranger and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Elias and Lukas (Goodnight Mommy)

goodnightmommy-xlargeThis psychological horror flick featured two twin boys, Lukas and Elias, played by twins Lukas and Elias Schwarz, who begin to suspect something is strongly and strangely amiss with their mother when she returns home from having cosmetic surgery with a fully wrapped and bandaged head. Filled with twists, turns, and rug-pulls, Goodnight Mommy is a must-watch for fans of the macabre.

Julius and Vincent Benedict (Twins)

R7AM5L6TVKWMZF4N7ZB6DENWG4-2Ivan Reitman’s 1988 box office hit Twins played off the size discrepancy between stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, making their characters twins created by a secret genetics lab experiment. DeVito played the streetwise Vincent while Schwarzenegger took a then-rare shot at comedy by playing the naive and goofy Julius.

Ronnie Kray and Reggie Kray (Legend)

TomHardylegend-xlargeWhile the 1990 film The Krays featured Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp and his brother Martin as British gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray, 2015’s Legend, from director Brian Helgeland (A Knight’s Tale, 42), had Tom Hardy playing both identical twin roles.

Beverly and Elliot Mantle (Dead Ringers)

MV5BZmQyYTZhZjItMWVhNi00YWExLWFiYTgtMzdiYjAyZDMxMzI4XkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMjUyNDk2ODc@._V1_Jeremy Irons played twins in David Cronenberg’s demented 1988 classic, Dead Ringers. As gynecologists Elliot and Beverly, Irons navigated a dysfunctional interdependent relationship filled with debauchery and delusion. The role(s) would garner Irons so much acclaim that he was essentially launched him into stardom. Irons would later thank Cronenberg in his speech when he won the Oscar for 1991’s Reversal of Fortune.

Bob and Walt Tenor (Stuck on You)

Matt-Damon-Greg-Kinnear-Stuck-You-2Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear portrayed conjoined twins Bob and Walt in The Farrelly Brothers’ Stuck on You, where the two would leave their small town (where Bob was content as a diner owner and cook) for Hollywood in pursuit of Walt’s dreams of becoming a movie star.

Angela and Isabel Dodson (Constantine)

MV5BMTc4NTMzMDk2Nl5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMzc4MzMyMDI@._V1_-2In 2005’s Constantine, starring Keanu Reeves as DC/Vertigo demon-defeater John Constantine, Rachel Weisz played Detective Angela Dodson, a cop investigating the death of her twin sister, Isabel. Funnily enough, Weisz would play a third role in the film, as Mammon, the son of Lucifer who takes over Angela’s form.

[ignvideo url=”https://www.ign.com/videos/constantine-15th-anniversary-official-panel-comic-con-2020″]

Alfred Borden (The Presitge)

edf272d36446daf1885b4b6ba81920ecf57e1fcff50ef5c673be21ab4b9be3eb

Seriously though…super spoilers for The Prestige. Stop reading if you haven’t seen it.

Christian Bale plays twin brothers who occupy one life, going by the name Alfred Borden. We’re never sure which is Alfred or if the name is made up entirely, but the secret allows Borden to do a pretty meat magic trick.

The Grady Twins (The Shining)

the-shining-grady-twinsOkay, so the Grady Twins apparently are not twins. Still, their specific place and iconography in horror is undeniable. They’ve been called twins because of their similar look and identical dress, but Overlook manager Stuart Ullman clearly states that one is eight and the other is ten. That being said, their ghostly arrival in Kubrick’s The Shining, and the subsequent invitation to an eternal playdate extended to young Danny, will be forever (and ever) known as “The Grady Twins.”
