There’s a new glove in town. Hasbro is gearing up to release the Iron Man Nano Gauntlet in its high-quality Marvel Legends series. The glove is up for preorder now, and it looks pretty great (see it at Amazon). It’s set to release November 1.

This is a full-scale replica of the gauntlet Tony Stark uses in Avengers Endgame. The fingers are flexible and articulated enough to let you do the snap. It even makes a sound effect when you do. (Try to use the power for good, not evil). It also comes with a full set of removable Infinity Stones that actually light up and pulsate.

As teased at the last Square Enix Presents in March, the Red Room Takeover event for Marvel’s Avengers is now live. The event runs until May 31, and is the culmination of the last two weeks of gameplay, which has seen players investigating the mysterious “Rooskaya Protocols.”

The Red Room Takeover has completely transformed the game’s HARM Room, turning a harmless training room into a life-threatening trap. The story sees the mysterious Yelena Belova having booby-trapped the HARM Room, forcing the heroes to run these deadly challenges to regain control of the compound.

While the storyline of the event focuses on Black Widow, with a number of encrypted messaged being addressed to her from Yelena Belova, players can run the challenges with any hero in their roster in order to unlock the event’s rewards. Those include exclusive “Widow Maker” comics, XP, and gear, with players at higher levels eligible for the best gear-related rewards.

The Red Room challenges are single player, and will scale from level 1 to 120 so all players can get involved. There are five different challenges to be taken on, with each containing new deadly obstacles that are new to the Red Room.

The event will run until May 31, and is available for players on all platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Stadia.

Destiny 2‘s Trials of Osiris competitive event is one of the toughest activities you can find in the game–but it also offers some of the best rewards. There are new weapons to earn in Trials as part of the Season of the Splicer, and you’re going to want to get your hands on them. Trouble is, we won’t know what weapons and armor you can hope to earn or what map you’ll face until the event officially starts with the beginning of the weekend on May 21.

The Trials of Osiris event kicks off each weekend with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 AM ET Friday and runs until the weekly reset at the same time on Tuesday. During the event, you can earn rewards based on how many wins you’re able to rack up on a single Trials “Passage” card you obtain from Saint-14 in the Tower. You can also complete bounties and earn tokens that can get you even more rewards.

As always, this weekend’s Trials event continues to the Tuesday weekly reset, so you’ve got until May 25 to earn rewards and spend tokens with Saint-14.

The Trials of Osiris runs from Friday to Tuesday every week, providing one of the toughest challenges in Destiny 2 for Crucible players. Your goal in the PvP mode is to win as many matches as possible before you suffer three total losses, which forces you to reset your Trials run, or Passage, and try again. It’s worth noting, though, that there’s no team matchmaking in Trials: You have to assemble your own three-player fireteam to run the event. You’ll earn loot at certain points as you rack up victories, but the best rewards in the event come when you go on a winning streak of seven matches in a row–a “Flawless” run.

While the goal in Trials is to hit that flawless run, the reality is that Trials is very tough, and most players may never achieve a flawless run. But the event isn’t just for the very best players in the game. You can still earn Trials rewards, some of the best weapons available, just by playing matches, win or lose. The End Game bounty from Saint-14 awards each week’s three-win reward just for participating.

If you can manage to go Flawless, you’ll visit the Lighthouse and earn exclusive rewards. Opening the chest in the Lighthouse now gets you an “Adept” weapon, which has extra stat boosts you can’t get almost anywhere else. Visit Saint-14 to pick up a Trials Passage and bounties to get started, but remember that you have to spend any Trials tokens you earn for wins with Saint-14 before the weekly reset on Tuesday, May 18. These tokens expire at the end of the weekend you earned them, so get your rewards while you can.

Destiny 2‘s Season of the Splicer is bringing back an old Destiny 1 favorite: the Vault of Glass raid. It launches on Saturday, May 22, which makes this a great time to visit our old buddy Xur to check out his haul of Exotic weapons and armor.

Xur returns to the solar system every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. The thing is, where he’ll land isn’t known until he actually arrives. Xur can hang out at one of several locations, including in the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ. We’ll update this post upon Xur’s arrival with a full rundown of where he’s located, how you can find him, and what he’s carrying. His inventory also changes each week, so it’s worth revisiting him on the weekends for new weapons and rolls on Exotic armor.

Each week, Xur offers one Exotic weapon and three pieces of Exotic armor, one for each character class. The inventory is random, as are the stat rolls you can expect on each of his armor offerings, so if you’re looking to fill out your collection or if you’re hoping for better versions of Exotics you already have, it’s worth visiting him. Xur also brings an Exotic Engram, which is guaranteed to drop something you don’t already have, if there are Exotics missing from your collection on that particular character–but that doesn’t include Exotics you have to earn through activities, including the new Exotic armors added each season, which can only be claimed from Legendary or Master Lost Sectors.

You’ll also need plenty of Legendary Shards to pay for Xur’s wares. The Exotic Engram will cost you 97 shards, while Xur’s weapon will run you 29 shards and each piece of armor costs 23 shards. You can snag another Engram from his haul if you have an Exotic Cipher. You can get more of those by completing Xur’s Xenology quest, which he offers each week.

Last year, LogitechG hosted the Adaptive Esports Invitational, a one-off Rocket League competition that featured players from the disabled community. Now, it’s extending that initiative with the announcement of the Adaptive Esports Tournament, an ongoing esports competition for disabled gamers.

The event has been created in partnership with AbleGamers, a charity dedicated to making video games accessible to people with disabilities–which got a big boost last year when Ryan Reynolds made a video promoting the cause.

The tournament’s other partners come from outside the gaming world–Adaptive Action Sports is a non-profit that offers action sports programs and training for people with disabilities, while Mount Sinai is a medical group based in New York, with programs focused on developing adaptive technology for people in need.

Disabled players who want to enter the next Adaptive Esports Tournament can sign up right now on the website. The first event will take place this fall, which is set to be a 2v2 single-elimination Rocket League tournament with “Logitech G gear and bragging rights on the line,” according to Logitech’s homepage for the event.

Bungie has announced the first (official) cross-play beta is coming to Destiny 2 on Wednesday, May 25. The event will last through Friday, May 27, and will be available for all Destiny 2 players to partake in. According to the official Bungie blog post, the limited time beta will feature a “unique Vanguard Strikes Cross Play Beta playlist,” where players will be matched with PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Stadia users alike as they fend off the incoming Darkness.

This announcement comes just over a week since Bungie mistakenly launched cross play alongside the Season of the Splicer update, and subsequently had to patch in its removal. Bungie acknowledged the accident in its latest post, stating “even though this was caused by a bug, we saw players mingling between platforms, which was awesome! That said, we needed to smash that bug like a subscribe button to get our release back on track.” Assuming everything is “back on track,” the studio confirmed they intend to keep their original Season 15 launch date, which is set to arrive August 24.

However, while the beta is open for all, it’s important to note not all of the game’s features will be open to those testing it out. To help ensure the beta process goes smoothly, only the unique Vanguard Strikes Cross Play Beta playlist will be available in cross-play mode. In addition, players will be unable to form a fireteam or send invites to friends. The silver lining? Bungie stated that as a “token of our appreciation for your time,” all players who complete three Vanguard Strikes from the unique playlist during the beta will be rewarded an exclusive “Stars Crossed” emblem.

For now, players are available to partake in the newly released Season 14 (the Season of the Splicer) and have the grand re-opening of the Vault of Glass on May 22 to look forward to.

If you’re a long-time member of our community, you may have already noticed that our comments section looks a little different as of today: We are upgrading our comments and adding some of your most-wanted features, like GIFs and emoji. It may take us a few days to roll out the changes across all our content pages, so please pardon our dust if you’re encountering some missing comments or bugs.

Here some of the upgrades and differences:

• GIFs are back! – Many of you have much to say, but sometimes you just want to react to some good news via a cute animal reaction of your choice. Just hit the GIF button in the comment box to search GIPHY’s huge database of images. You can also upload a custom image (eg: if you want to share a screen cap from a game), but please note that uploaded images are submitted to moderator approval, so they can take a bit longer to appear.
• Emoji support (and additional formatting) – You can quote, make lists, and add emoji to your posts. When using a desktop web browser, select the emoji icon in the comment box to search for and insert emoji. On mobile, emoji are accessible from your virtual keyboard.
• Better threads – Discussion threads are collapsed by default We hope this will make it easier for you to find the threads that interest you, while being able to avoid threads that don’t.or example, you could post a spoiler warning in the first message in a thread and include the your spoiler-y details in your replies. Threads also now display which user the response is directed at.
• Better sorting – There are three ways to sort comments: Best (great for people who don’t check comments daily and want to find interesting discussions more quickly), Newest (great for frequent commenters who don’t want to miss a thing), and Oldest (for people who can’t live without seeing that guy who always posts “first!”).
• Better upvotes- You can now see who upvoted your comment. You can upvote your own comment like before (why not!), but remember that everyone’s in on it now.
• New user comments tracking – You can now easily see a user’s other comments by clicking on their username (or view your own, if you want to gaze upon your works). When you click on your own name, you can also see your total number of likes. Don’t want people to see your posting history? Select “privacy” from the settings icon and turn “private profile” on.
• Reporting and blocking changes – The option to mute a user has moved to the right side of a person’s post. Hit the three dots and you can report a comment (which will also hide it in your comment stream) or mute a user so you no longer have to see their posts.
• New notification tools – Notifications are accessible from the “bell” icon right above the comments box. We are working on adding notifications back to the site header at the top of the page as well. There are also now email notifications. If you just want your peace and quiet, hit the gear icon and turn them all off. Or customize what email notifications you want.
• New key shortcuts – If you want to post a comment without hitting the Send button, just hit COMMAND + RETURN on a Mac, or CMD + ENTER on PC.

There are also other new details like seeing an indicator when someone is replying to you, an update to the design to make it easier to read and work better on your phone, and a faster, more reliable commenting experience on slower connections.

The internet got very excited when Lucasfilm’s website updated the title of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian’s Dave Filoni to executive creative director of the studio, but it turns out he’s been in the role for quite some time and it just took until now for the website to reflect that.

As previously mentioned, the internet assumed Filoni’s title change was a recent promotion and began celebrating what this meant for that galaxy far, far away, as Filoni is a favorite for Star Wars fans.

IGN reached out to Lucasfilm to get clarification on this change, and it informed us that this was simply an update to the website and that Filoni has been the executive creative director at Lucasfilm for “quite some time now.”

“Dave has been serving as Executive Producer / Executive Creative Director at Lucasfilm for quite some time now,” a Lucasfilm spokesperson said. “We simply updated our website. Nothing has changed with his current and future projects. He is busier than ever in a galaxy far, far away!”

Filoni joined Lucasfilm in 2005 when he was selected by George Lucas himself to help kickstart the studio’s animation efforts and create Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which went on to win four Emmy Awards.

He then continued to work on Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars Resistance before moving on to live-action with The Mandalorian. He is currently working on both The Book of Boba Fett and Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

All of his previous work led to those getting excited when the title change was discovered on the website, including The Mandalorian’s Ming-Na Wen and Katee Sackhoff. While the promotion isn’t new, it’s still exciting for the future of Star Wars.
