Before Bumblebee Hits Theaters, Find Out Which Transformer You Are

Not a day goes by that I’m not thinking to myself, “If I were a character from the Transformers Universe, who would I be?” Obviously, I’d be Hot Rod. But when it comes to the Transformers movie universe, I’m left puzzled, wondering about the nature of my own existence. However, no longer will I have to spend countless hours asking myself this, and neither will you.

GameSpot’s sister site, iDaily, have put together the “Which Transformer are you” quiz, basing all of its results on the big screen adaptation of the cartoons/toy lines. Are you like me, Megatron, someone who is trying to destroy mankind? I guess that’s been my motive all along. Or are you the gentle, yet heroic Bumblebee, and yes, I’m calling you “yellow.”

Obviously, this is all leading up to the first spin-off of the main Transformers franchise, Bumblebee. The new movie is a prequel to the Transformers series, taking place in the ’80s. The film stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg, Jason Drucker, Ricardo Hoyos, and Gracie Dzienny. Bumblebee is directed by Travis Knight, who you may know from the critically acclaimed animated movie Kubo and the Two Strings.

Back over the summer, we talked to the designers behind the new Transformers toy line at Hasbro, and they told us that making the new toy look like it did in the film as well as making it functional was pretty tough. “You have to make sure the [Volkswagen Beetle] is spot-on, but all those pieces find their way into the parts of his body,” explained John Warden, Senior Design Manager for the company’s Transformers line. “I think it brought a lot of challenges, when we think about the smooth rounded legs of Bee. He’s got a lot of bulk and mass, even though he’s sort of a small bot.”

Bumblebee hits theaters on December 21.

Fortnite Challenges: Dance In Forbidden Locations, Crown Of RV’s, And More (Season 7, Week 1)

Fortnite Season 7 is now live, which means developer Epic Games has hit reset of the challenges and we’re starting anew. There’s a fresh Battle Pass to be purchased and it’s packed full of new cosmetics to unlock. To do that you’ll need to earn Battle Stars and level up the Battle Pass. The easiest way to do this is to complete the weekly challenges, and Season 7, Week 1’s are now available.

For its debut week, Season 7 asks players to pick up items of each rarity, dance in seven different forbidden locations, and play five matches with at least one elimination in each of them. Those are the free challenges available to everyone, but if you’ve spent money to get on the paid tier of the Battle Pass, you’ve got a selection of additional challenges.

In the paid Battle Pass challenge tier you’ll need to dance on top of a crown of RVs, with more stages of that specific challenge opening up after you’ve done that. Other challenges in that grouping ask the player to do 500 points of headshot damage, eliminate opponents in five different named locations, and search five ammo boxes in a single match. That final challenge is another multi-stager, so additional step will become available once the ammo boxes are searched. You can take a look at the full challenge list below.

Epic Games has detailed everything that is new and has changed in its Fortnite Season 7 patch notes. Naturally, a big event ushers in the start of a new season, and this time an iceberg has smashed into the island. As a result, there’s new frosty areas and everyone is wrapping up to stay warm (that means there’s cool new wintery skins).

Hulu’s horror anthology series, Into the Dark, is back with another terrifying adventure, titled Pooka! Directed by Oscar-nominee Nacho Vigalondo (Colossal), Pooka! is set to premiere on Friday, December 7.

According to Hulu, “a struggling actor gets a holiday season job as a Christmas character in a plush suit to promote the hottest toy of the year, ‘Pooka.’ At first, it’s a fun and friendly distraction, but he slowly develops two personalities–one when he’s in the suit, and one that’s outside it–as Pooka slowly starts to take possession of him.” For a closer look at Nyasha Hatendi’s transformation into the monster, check out the video below:

First Details, Video of Burnout Successor Dangerous Driving Revealed

If the Dangerous Driving video above looks a bit familiar and hits you right in the nostalgia portion of your soul, that’s by design. Three Fields Entertainment, formed almost five years ago by Burnout co-creators Fiona Sperry, Alex Ward, and a number of other former Criterion developers, has been building up to this moment for a while. The team learned the Unreal Engine and got its feet wet with the engine’s physics system in its first project, Dangerous Golf, and then dipped its toe in the Burnout waters with Danger Zone. 2018’s Danger Zone 2 (see my review below) got us closer to the glory days of Burnout’s Crash Mode than ever, and now Dangerous Driving looks to do the same for Burnout’s other memorable mode, Road Rage.

Other companies have dropped hints that could suggest announcements on the way too, so check out everything we know or think we know.

Meanwhile, some other publishers have gone out of their way to point out they won’t be showing anything new. Those include The Last of Us 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. Rocksteady also pointed out that it won’t be bringing its unannounced project, and in the process dispelled some persistent rumors that it was working on a Superman game.
