US is amazing.

Detective Pikachu is an odd choice. Good film but best of the year?

@Bread_or_Decide: Us completely falls apart as soon as you realize how utterly implausible and unrealistic its explanation is.

It's the least important part of the story and not a deal breaker. About as realistic as Freddy Kreuger going into dreams and killing people or creating genetic dinosaurs. It's a fable, the message is more important. Suspend your belief, it's a movie.

The rest is a break neck thriller with some terrific set pieces and one of the best concepts in recent memory.

@Bread_or_Decide: Freddy Kreuger has a paranormal and supernatural angle. You can use supernatural to explain literally any plot point in a story, for better or worse. Plus Nightmare on Elm Street is literally a horror/comedy. It's supposed to be campy and fun.

Us tries to explain itself from a realistic, rational, and pseudoscientific perspective, it also takes itself very, very seriously and it just completely falls flat because of how extremely absurd its premise is. They should have used to supernatural angle.
