The next generation of Pokemon has finally been revealed, with Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield! Introducing the new starters, Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are releasing worldwide on Nintendo Switch later this year.

It still feels like a Gameboy game... when are they going to get a proper developer to make a Pokemon game? Make a full on RPG, not this weird superficial world that is still a grid/tile based design.. it's pathetic after all this money, they clearly do not give a crap.

Starters are uninspired. Graphics are a very minor upgrade over the 3DS sadly. I was hoping they'd really shake up the initial game play, but no we still have to pick a fire, water, or grass type. There has already been a grass monkey before folks, but I guess they've run out of ideas! I'm not a huge fan of the European aesthetic, as they already did France in a prior Pokemon game. I wish it was based more on fantasy like the original games. Oh well.
