Paladins Announced for Nintendo Switch, Release Date Revealed

Hi-Rez Studios has announced that its hit hero shooter, Paladins, is making its way to Nintendo Switch next week. Paladins will see its worldwide digital release on the Nintendo Switch on June 12, and features crossplay with the Xbox One version of the game. Pre-orders are now available on the Nintendo Switch’s, eShop.

The Nintendo Switch version of Paladins will run at 60 frames-per-second and is built from the ground up on a custom in-house port of Unreal Engine 3. Hi-Rez Studios has stated that the Switch version will offer the full Paladins experience while playing both docked and undocked mode.

Players will be able to gain access to the game by purchasing the Paladins Founder’s Pack on the Nintendo Switch’s eShop for $29.99. The Paladins Founder’s Pack includes all 36 Champions currently available in the game, as well as all future Champions and numerous Founder Exclusive cosmetic items. Hi-Rez Studios has also stated that it intends to offer a free-to-play version of Paladins on Nintendo Switch later this summer, and the recently announced Rise of Furia event will arrive later this month.
