Michael Myers Lives and Is Bloody as Ever in New Halloween Footage

Halloween — and Michael Myers, and Jamie Lee Curtis — came to San Diego Comic-Con today. No sign of Ben Tramer, though. (Reference!)

The upcoming sequel-reboot sees the return of Curtis as Laurie Strode in what is promised to be her final confrontation with her masked and murderous nemesis, as the film forgoes all of the Halloween franchise’s continuity after the original 1978 classic directed by John Carpenter. Director/co-writer David Gordon Green (co-writer Danny McBride couldn’t make it) hit SDCC today to talk about his hopes and dreams (and nightmares) for this new Halloween.

Universal Pictures will release Trancas International Films, Blumhouse Productions and Miramax’s Halloween on Friday, October 19, 2018. Master of horror John Carpenter executive produces and serves as creative consultant on the film, joining forces with Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, The Purge, Paranormal Activity). Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Virginia Gardner and Nick Castle also star.
