Red Dead Redemption 2 Clothing Line Includes All These Items

Rockstar Games has announced an official clothing line based on Red Dead Redemption 2. The game developer partnered with clothing company Barking Irons for a line of clothing and accessories that are modeled after what main character Arthur Morgan wore in the game.

Available in unisex sizes from XS to XXL, the Red Dead Redemption 2 Collection, as it’s called, includes a number of items, beginning with the water-resistant Gunslinger jacket ($250 USD). Made of waxed cotton and leather, the shirt features bound buttonholes and the name “Morgan” printed on the collar. It also includes a Van der Ling gang inside pocket print and the Rockstar logo print.

Other items in the collection include the denim chore shirt ($150 USD), the everyday shirt ($120 USD), the Railroad shirt ($120), and the Union henley ($92 USD). The Collection also includes a saddle bag ($180 USD), a large tote ($75 USD), and a riding duffel bag ($325 USD)

“Modeled on the apparel worn by Arthur Morgan and featuring subtle nods to in-game design, the Red Dead Redemption 2 Collection by Barking Irons combines authentic, period era detail with contemporary Americana styling,” Rockstar says.

You can visit the Barking Irons website here to see the full range of Red Dead Redemption 2 clothing and accessories. Shipping is available outside of the United States. You can also check out this Rockstar Newswire post to get more details on the clothing line.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online, launched this week–and it includes a battle royale mode (see it in the embed above). For more, check out GameSpot’s rundown of five important details to know about it.

Is Disney’s Streaming Service to Blame for Netflix’s Marvel Cancelations?

Update: Daredevil has been canceled by Netflix, though both Marvel’s The Punisher and Jessica Jones are slated for new seasons to debut in 2019. IGN’s original article continues below.

While fans and critics are still buzzing about Season 3 of Netflix and Marvel’s Daredevil, the future of Marvel’s collaboration with the streaming giant seems murky following the surprise cancellations of Iron Fist and Luke Cage earlier this month.

With Disney ramping up for a hotly-anticipated streaming service, Disney+, which will have its own set of MCU-focused TV series, many are speculating that Netflix may have given the ax to these tentpole shows because its collaborator is about to become its competitor. But there’s more to this drama than meets the eye.

Netflix Cancels Another Marvel Show — Daredevil Gets The Ax

The Marvel Netflix show Daredevil has been canceled. It becomes the third Marvel show on Netflix to get canceled in two months, following the axing of Iron Fist and Luke Cage in October.

In a statement to Deadline, Netflix confirmed Daredevil’s third season, which premiered in October, was its last. “We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note.”

Netflix thanked showrunner Erik Oleson, as well as the writers, cast, and crew, while the network also said it was grateful to the fans who watched the show since it premiered in 2015.

Daredevil’s three seasons will stay on Netflix “for years to come,” Netflix said, adding that you can expect to see Daredevil the character in “future projects” from Marvel.

Charlie Cox played Daredevil on the Netflix show, with a supporting cast led by Vincent D’Onofrio.

With Daredevil’s cancellation, Netflix now has just two Marvel shows that continue production: Jessica Jones and The Punisher. Marvel’s move away from Netflix is not all that surprising, given parent company Disney is launching a streaming service of its own, Disney+, in 2019.

The Deadline report also offers some insight into the relationship between Netflix and Marvel, and it sounds less than great. Netflix and Marvel reportedly clashed over the number of episodes in a season, while there have been creative issues as well, the site said. You can read the full story on Deadline here.

Daredevil Canceled

Marvel’s Daredevil has been canceled after three seasons.

Deadline received a statement from Netflix saying, “Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix. We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note. We’re thankful to showrunner Erik Oleson, the show’s writers, stellar crew and incredible cast including Charlie Cox as Daredevil himself, and we’re grateful to the fans who have supported the show over the years. While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel.”

New Halo Infinite Concept Art Revealed; What Clues Do You See?

343 Industries has shared a new piece of concept art for the upcoming Halo game Halo Infinite. Revealed in a new Community Update, 343 says the art comes from a Halo Infinite reveal trailer that originally aired during E3 back in June.

What secrets does the image contain? Have a look for yourself–be sure to zoom in and enhance–and let us know in the comments below what you might have found.

No Caption Provided

The Halo Infinite reveal trailer from E3 was actually for the game’s new engine, Slipspace, and not the game itself. The company has yet to show off the game itself yet, however, but we do know it is coming to both Xbox One and PC.

There is an intriguing rumour that claims Microsoft is planning to launch the game in two parts–first the single-player in 2019, with multiplayer coming in 2020. Microsoft hasn’t made any official announcements regarding release plans, however.

Halo Infinite places more of an emphasis on Master Chief, which is good to hear after Halo 5 controversially strayed away from him. It’s also apparently a very big game, as Halo franchise manager Frank O’Connor said the game will have “capacious” missions/levels.

No release date has been announced for Halo Infinite, but it’s one of our most anticipated upcoming Xbox One games for sure.

Fallout 76, Black Ops 4 Underperform At GameStop

Two major new releases, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Fallout 76, failed to sell up to expectation at GameStop, the retailer announced today in its latest earnings report.

CFO Rob Lloyd said Black Ops 4 was “not as successful as we had hoped.” For Fallout 76, the executive said the game’s review scores likely hurt sales. “Obviously, you can see in the market what the Metacritic scores are around Fallout 76, and that’s impacted its sell-through. I’ll probably just leave it at that.”

Some of the sports games that released in August and September were also “not up to our expectations” in regards to sales, Lloyd explained. He didn’t name any titles, but Madden NFL 19, FIFA 19, NBA 2K19, and NBA Live 19 all released in August and September this year.

On the brighter side, GameStop management said Red Dead Redemption 2 and Spider-Man for PS4 were two of its top-sellers. And while Black Ops 4 did not sell up to GameStop’s expectations, the title launching in October instead of November helped GameStop’s overall game sales rise by more than 10 percent during the quarter.

GameStop management did not say what its sales expectations were for any new release, so we don’t know the degree to which Black Ops 4 and Fallout 76 underperformed. However, their underperformance was significant enough to disclose on the earnings call.

GameStop’s total global sales–comprising hardware, software, accessories, and more–rose by 4.8 percent to $2.1 billion for the quarter ended November 3. New hardware sales rose 12.8 percent thanks to gains from Xbox One X and PS4. As for software, as mentioned, game sales jumped by 10.9 percent. Accessories sales, meanwhile, posted the biggest gains of all, rising 32.6 percent. Pre-owned sales dropped by 13.4 percent.

Overall, GameStop posted a loss of $488.6 million for the quarter, which compares to a profit of $59.4 million during the same quarter last year. GameStop management said the loss was due to an “impairment charge” of $587.5 million that it paid as a result of the “sustained decline in the company’s share price.” Indeed, GameStop’s share price has been steadily falling for years now from more than $45 per share in 2015 to around $14.5 today.

Times have changed in the video game business. Game sales are increasingly trending toward digital over physical, which is theoretically a problem for GameStop, as physical sales–and re-selling games–was for a time the bread and butter of GameStop’s business model.

In June this year, GameStop announced that it was entering “exploratory discussions” with outside companies about potentially selling itself. Earlier this month, GameStop announced its plans to sell off its Spring Mobile division for $700 million.

The company is currently conducting a comprehensive review of its business, and this presumably also includes a potential sale. Former Xbox boss Shane Kim is the company’s interim CEO; he took over after Michael Mauler quit GameStop after only three months for “personal reasons.” Longtime GameStop CEO Paul Raines died in March at the age of 53. GameStop is currently working with an executive hiring company to find a permanent CEO.
