Steam Workshop Submissions Now Require Moderator Approval

With little warning or fanfare, Valve has implemented a new policy on Steam Workshop, the platform’s hub for user-made mods, that requires any new submission must first be approved by a moderator.

First sighted by Reddit user r/TanookiSuit3 on the CS:GO subreddit, and reported by PCGamesN, an image captured by TanookiSuit3 shows a new banner on Steam Workshop over a new submission.

It was hard to know what to expect from a Rocko’s Modern Life revival special at Netflix, but it definitely wasn’t a sharp commentary on reboot culture and fan entitlement that miraculously captures the core essence of the Nickelodeon cartoon as if two decades haven’t passed.

In an era where Buzzfeed quizzes try to determine how much of a ’90s kid you are, no matter what year you were born, the return of a beloved property is less a matter of “if,” and more of a “when.” As if summoned from our collective subconscious as pop culture revivals become ever more prevalent (and fans become more demanding), the 45-minute Static Cling devotes itself to the very nature of its return.

Splatterhouse, 7 More Games Announced for TurboGrafx-16 Mini

Konami announced it’s sweetening the TurboGrafx-16 Mini even further, adding an additional seven games to the retro-mini console, including fan-favorite Splatterhouse.

The remaining six, non-Splatterhouse games are the Japanese-language Galaga ‘88, Dragon Spirit, The Legend of Valkyrie, The Genji and the Heike Clans, Seirei Senshi Spriggan and Spriggan Mark 2. The full list of games now includes 25 English-language games and 32 Japanese-language.

The Next Total War Saga Game Seems to be Set in Troy

The next Total War Saga game seems to be set in the ancient city of Troy, possibly during the infamous Trojan War, according to a new trademark filing made by developer Creative Assembly.

First reported by Eurogamer, Reddit user r/zhxws managed to discover the trademark filing for “Total War Saga: Troy” by Creative Assembly on the United Kingdom’s government’s Intellectual Property Office site, which appears to have been filed on July 23 of this year.
