Captain Marvel’s cast continues to grow, with Annette Bening now being the latest star to join the upcoming MCU film.
THR reports Bening will portray a “scientist” of some sort in what will be her first superhero movie. Details about her role are being kept under wraps.

Once the glamor of Destiny 2: Warmind’s short but well-told story campaign wears off returning to the power level grind feels less fulfilling than ever before. While there’s a lot more power to chase this means you won’t be accessing a decent chunk of the content in the immediate future. When the most enticing new activity, the Escalation Protocol horde mode, is locked behind a 370 recommended power level, you may find yourself wondering what new content there is to enjoy in the meantime.
That two-hour campaign is at least intriguing in that it fleshes out the lore of the universe in some interesting ways and introduces us to the compelling (but underused) Ana Bray. I was excited to learn more about her via the adventures as her storyline connects with the Warmind construct known as Rasputen, which has been at the core of the Destiny storyline since the original campaign. Throughout the main story and adventures we’re treated to a public space with plenty of secrets to uncover, and afterwards there’s the new Escalation Protocol that pits Guardians against wave after wave of enemies for Legendary rewards. There are also new multiplayer maps in the Crucible and a raid lair on the way this Friday.
The release of Deadpool 2 is right around the corner, with the loudmouth mercenary sharpening his swords in anticipation of a sequel that’s already predicted to make over $150 million during its opening weekend in North America.

In recent news, Deadpool star Ryan Renolds told EW that the sequel was originally going to make Wade Wilson a father. He informed the outlet that the premise didn’t fit the story they were trying to tell. “By page 1.5, it was totally untenable. We were just like, ‘Nope. Nope. No, no, no. This is never, ever going to work.'”
Even though Thanos was added into Fortnite to bring destruction and chaos, players have found ways to let Thanos’ goofier side shine.
The Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup mode went live yesterday, allowing one player to take control of Thanos and his unique abilities. Whatever outfit you were wearing beforehand won’t show, but your emotes and stylish dance moves don’t go anywhere.

After the first hint of a sequel earlier today, Bethesda seems to be teasing RAGE 2 by poking fun at an unconfirmed Walmart listing for the game.
“Hey @WalmartCanada here are a few notes” reads a tweet from the official RAGE account. The tweet is accompanied by a screencap lambasting the lack of key art, age rating and font with a hot pink RAGE anarchy symbol for good measure.

Whoa, Mother’s Day is on Sunday. Yes, THIS upcoming Sunday. I know, right? I forgot, too. But that doesn’t mean it’s not too late to order something nice.
You could grab a fistful of $5 convenience store flowers and call it good, but you know Mom is better than that. We went ahead and found some excellent flowers and other Mother’s Day gifts you can order now and still get in time for weekend.
Make sure to check before you go and order, because when it comes to fresh flowers, delivery dates vary depending on where you’re getting them delivered to. At the very least, you could order a nice bouquet and print out a photo of it until it arrives. Mother’s Day won’t be ruined. Too much.
Outlander fans can look forward to many more years of time-traveling adventure with Claire and Jamie Fraser; in addition to announcing the Season 4 premiere month, Starz has renewed the show for Season 5 and Season 6.
Season 4 of Outlander will premiere in November 2018, with two more seasons of 12 episodes ordered, taking the show through the next two books in Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling historical series, The Fiery Cross, and A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Season 4 is based on Gabaldon’s Drums of Autumn and is comprised of 13 episodes.
“Fans can rest assured their beloved Claire and Jamie will be back facing new challenges, adversaries and adventures in seasons five and six as we delve into American history and continue the story of the Frasers as they settle in the New World,” said Starz president and CEO Chris Albrecht.
DC Rebirth was a boon to so many characters and franchises, but oddly, the Justice League line never seemed to benefit in the way so many others did. Part of that is simply that writer Geoff Johns and artist Jason Fabok are a hard pair to follow. But more importantly, there’s never been a sense that the Justice League as a team has a clear direction of purpose in the Rebirth era. The team has been needing a big, ambitious overhaul, and No Justice could be just what the doctor ordered.
No Justice is a weekly four-issue miniseries that sets the stage for DC’s new Justice League lineup – Justice League, Justice League Dark and Justice League Odyssey. It’s also a followup to the recent Dark Nights: Metal crossover, though all you really need to know is that the Source Wall has been breached and new dangers are spilling into the DC Universe from realms unknown. The idea being that the Justice League has to become bigger and better if it’s going to face these new threats, and the only way to do that is to forge an alliance with one of their fiercest enemies.
Avengers: Infinity War has shattered box office presale records in China.
THR reports the third Avengers movie has garnered $47.5 million in presales as of late Wednesday night in Beijing. It’s now eclipsed Monster Hunt 2, which earned about $47 million in presales back in January.
The Fate of the Furious, which released in 2017, was Hollywood’s previous record holder in China with an estimated $25 million in presales.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is China’s biggest-earning superhero movie, having made $240 million in 2015, a total analysts believe Infinity War can reach as well. It opens in theaters on May 11 in China.
Treyarch is teasing the return of the ever-popular Zombies mode to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
The official E3 Twitter account seemed to reveal the mode early, but now Treyarch itself has teased the mode by tweeting an image stating “Mankind’s reckoning will be its salvation” and “So it begins… #Zombies.”
The tweet also features a number of strange symbols, along with a mysterious decaying figure removing an ominous mask.
