BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Review

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle brings together the worlds of BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth and RWBY in a surprisingly approachable alternative to each of the games that it borrows from. Introducing a unique, but easy to understand fighting system supported by innovative tag mechanics, great characters, and the usual ArcSys flair that makes its games so striking.

As the name implies, BlazBlue leads the charge in Cross Tag Battle, but make no mistake, this is not a new entry in the BlazBlue series. Cross Tag Battle carves out its own identity by putting the focus on its 2v2 tag mechanics and simplifying some of the complexity that ArcSys games are known for.

The Flash: Star Teases More Crossovers Are on the Way

One of the stars of The Flash has said that there are more crossovers on the way for the CW show.

As a part of CW’s Arrowverse, The Flash has featured (and been featured in) a number of crossover episodes. Jessica Parker Kennedy, who plays Nora Allen in The Flash, is certainly a fan of them, and her co-star Danielle Nicolet has said that viewers can expect more next season.

“I think crossovers are the coolest. The very first episode I did was a crossover and it was awesome, and everyone was there, and everyone was in a good mood. I feel like it’s so fun to do that,” Kennedy said at MCM Comic Con in London, reports the Express.

How Games Have Changed My Perspective on Parenthood

HEADS-UP: Heavy story spoilers for The Last of Us and the first season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, plus minor spoilers for the opening of God of War (2018) follow.

One of the reasons people love games is because they allow an escape from our surroundings, to experience the empowerment that comes from taking action with pixel protagonists. Two of my favourite gaming experiences of the last few years, however, did more than that – they helped me reflect on my own life.

Nearing my mid-20s in the early 2010s, I was drawn to two protagonists who exhibited heroic qualities to which I had never given a second thought. When I think back to Lee Everett in Telltale’s The Walking Dead and Joel in The Last of Us, I realise the sacrifices they were willing to make for their unofficially adopted children had illuminated my perspective on parenthood.

First Bumblebee Trailer Delivers Retro ’80s Transformers Action

The future of the Transformers franchise might be uncertain, but we’re definitely getting at least one more movie. The spin-off Bumblebee hits theaters in December and will focus on the earlier adventures of the much-loved yellow VW Autobot. The first trailer has now arrived.

The trailer confirms earlier reports that the movie will have a smaller feel than the main Transformers films. It’s set in California in the 1980s, and stars Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) as a young woman who finds Bumblebee in a trash heap. We see Steinfeld and Bumblebee slowly bonding, and there’s a brief appearance from Starscream, who, like Bumblebee, can be seen in his classic ’80s design. Check it out above.

Bumblebee also features WWE star John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Jason Drucker (Diary of Wimpy Kid), Ricardo Hoyos (The Belko Experiment), and Gracie Dzienny (Chasing Life). It’s directed by Travis Knight, who previously helmed the Oscar-nominated animated movie Kubo And The Two Strings. It hit theaters on December 21.

When Bumblebee was first announced, it was supposed to be the first in an ongoing spin-off universe of Transformers movies. However, last year’s Transformers: The Last Knight was a financial disappointment compared to the previous four films. As a result, the Transformers movie originally scheduled for 2019 has been removed entirely from Paramount’s schedules.

This follows the rumors back in February that Habsro, the toy manufacturer which owns the rights to Transformers, is planning to reboot the whole franchise. It was also reported that a new agreement with Paramount means that Hasbro will have greater control over the property, including greenlighting movie projects.

Why Halo 6’s Story Should Go the Battlefield Route

We recently saw the official announcement of Battlefield V, and among the details we discovered was an intriguing announcement regarding its single player. In lieu of a typical story campaign focused on one character, as has been the case with most earlier entries, the game will continue with Battlefield 1’s War Stories approach. The Stories switched perspective between multiple characters that offered different looks at the Great War from soldiers of different nationalities, from a pair of brothers who enlisted days after their birthday to a former chauffeur turned tank driver.

Disney to Lose Over $50 Million on Solo: A Star Wars Story

After its second disappointing weekend in a row, Solo: A Star Wars story is set to lose over $50 million during its theatrical run.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Solo could lose $50 million or more after factoring in a budget of over $250 million and a similarly expensive marketing push. As of its second Sunday in theaters, Solo’s domestic total has reached $148.9 million and its global run is stagnating at $264.2 million. Its first week in theaters proved to be financially disappointing, but its second week saw a further 65% drop in sales on top of this initial stagnation.
