Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too Breakdown & Easter Eggs | Season 5

Black Mirror Season 5’s release date has finally arrived, with three new episodes of the hit anthology series arriving on Netflix worldwide. As always, the new episodes deal with some of the darker interpretations of futurism and technology.

Here, we take a look at the peculiarly named Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too, which stars Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana, Bolt), Madison Davenport (From Dusk Till Dawn), and Angourie Rice (Spider-Man: Homecoming). It’s helmed by Norwegian director Anne Sewitsky and was written by series creator Charlie Brooker.

The official plot synopsis reads: “A lonely teenager yearns to connect with her favorite pop star – whose charmed existence isn’t quite as rosy it appears.” We won’t say more than this so we don’t spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen the episode yet!

Once you have watched the show, watch the video above, in which Lucy James and Tamoor Hussain uncover all the Easter eggs and secrets they can find and break down the plot.

Black Mirror Season 5 is the first release from the show since the interactive special Bandersnatch, which came to Netflix in December 2018. Prior to that, Season 4 was released in December 2017. Need a Little Excitement? Slim Jim Macho Man Action Figure Has What You Need

Need a little excitement? Snap into this SDCC 2019 WWE special edition Macho Man Randy Savage action figure. It’s almost certainly made from some manner of plastic polymer and not processed meats, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t one of the spiciest action figures around.

In fact, I’d go so far as to say this is the cream of the crop when it comes to San Diego Comic Con exclusives. If you’re at the show between July 17-21, you can stop by the Mattel booth and pick one up for yourself. You’ll also be able to preorder it beginning June 18 from Entertainment Earth for $29.99.

The State of E3 2019: Ubisoft

Ubisoft has historically been E3’s biggest risk-taker when it comes to stage shows.

This is the company that inexplicably introduced us to Mr. Caffeine, only a year after interrupting its own press conference with a hectic Battle Tag demo. Even in 2018, years removed from presentational gimmicks being commonplace at E3, its conference included two live performances. Yet behind the spectacle sits an exciting catalogue of franchises, and a track record of big E3 announcements. Its shows continuously balance the predictable with the not, making Ubisoft one of E3’s most intriguing presenters.

Captain Marvel: 16 Things We Learned About The Movie From The Home Release

Wonder Woman 84 Poster Gives Diana A New Costume

Warner Bros Entertainment surprised fans today with the confirmation, via Wonder Woman’s director Patty Jenkins on Twitter, that the company will be skipping San Diego Comic-Con this year. With no Hall H presence, this means that highly anticipated movies like Wonder Woman 84 and the star-studded Dune reboot will not be featured at the convention at all.

But never fear, Jenkins gave the bad news with a spoonful of sugar by tweeting out a brand-new poster for Wonder Woman 84, featuring an all-new look for Diana in all its technicolor, golden glory. Jenkins also teased that the promotional campaign for WW84 will begin in earnest later this year in December–so don’t expect teasers or trailers for a while longer.

The poster showcases a familiar comic book inspired look for Diana, known officially as the “Gold Armor” from the alternate-reality miniseries, Kingdom Come. It was designed to be a ceremonial armor crafted by Pallas, an Amazonian armorer, for Diana specifically, and imbued with supernatural durability. The comic book version of the armor even included wings which allowed Diana to fly–but they seem to be missing from the live action incarnation. Though, with the poster as highly stylized as it is, it’s too soon to say if they’ve just been swallowed up in the rainbow effects. Given Diana’s permanent exile from Themyscria in the live-action universe, it will be interesting to see where the costume ends up coming from and who winds up making it, or if we’ve got a homecoming for the Amazonian princess on the horizon.

Wonder Woman 84 was recently delayed from November of this year to 2020, making it unlikely that the movie will have any major North American convention presence at all before release. It was, however, briefly featured in last year’s WB Comic-Con panel, where fans were treated to a short clip of Diana fighting a mugger in an extremely 80s-flavored shopping mall.

Wonder Woman 84 is set to release on June 5, 2020, and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Robin Wright, and Pedro Pascal.

Every X-Men Movie Rotten Tomatoes Score

The X-Men franchise has experienced some pretty wild ups and downs over the years when it comes to review scores. Unfortunately, it appears the series will be ending on a down note on Rotten Tomatoes, which generates aggregate review scores based on individual critics’ reviews.

Dark Phoenix’s Tomatometer rating has been revealed, and it currently sits at a very disappointing 21% after 73 reviews.

You can check out our own review of Dark Phoenix here, where we said “although not the trainwreck some may have feared given its mostly lackluster trailers, Dark Phoenix nevertheless brings the long-running X-Men franchise to a close in a messy and muddled fashion. The film is marginally better than the previous telling of the Phoenix sagaX-Men: The Last Stand, and it’s certainly better than the bloated and excessive X-Men: Apocalypse, but Dark Phoenix is still a disappointing finale for this nearly 20-year-old series.

The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Pre-Order Guide For Nintendo Switch

Earlier this year, Nintendo announced a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is coming to Nintendo Switch. While we don’t have a release date yet, that info will likely be revealed during Nintendo’s E3 2019 press conference on June 11, as the game is confirmed to release this year.

The Link’s Awakening remake looks stunning, with vibrant, colorful visuals that retain the top-down perspective of the original. The last time Nintendo released a new game inspired by a classic Zelda adventure–looking at you, A Link Between Worlds–the end result was fantastic, so we have high hopes for Link’s Awakening, which will be the first top-down Zelda title on the Switch.

If you’ve never played Link’s Awakening, which initially released in 1993 for the Game Boy Color, you’re in for even more of a treat, as you’ll get to experience the story for the first time. As you might have gathered from the announcement trailer (which you can watch above), the story begins with Link sailing into a giant storm that leaves him shipwrecked on Koholint Island, which is guarded by a giant sleeping Wind Fish. Throughout the course of the game, you’ll control Link as he solves puzzles and fights monsters to gather eight magical instruments that will wake the Wind Fish, the only one who can help him leave the island. Link’s Awakening shakes up the traditional Zelda formula a bit, as it doesn’t involve Princess Zelda, the Triforce, or Hyrule at all.

Link’s Awakening is already available to pre-order at a few different retailers, and we imagine more listings will go live when the release date is officially revealed. As of right now, no pre-order bonuses have been announced. We’ll update this story when we know more, but for now, here’s where you can pre-order Link’s Awakening for Nintendo Switch.

Pre-order The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening

The base game is currently listed at $60, but we’ll see if that remains true after more info is shared on June 11. If you pre-order now and the price later drops, you should only be charged the lower amount when the game actually ships.

Pokemon Go June 2019 Community Day: Start Times, Featured Pokemon, Event Move, And More

Pokemon Go’s Adventure Week event is now underway, but that isn’t all that’s happening in the Pokemon mobile game this week. The next Pokemon Go Community Day is also just around the corner. Niantic is hosting this month’s event on Saturday, June 8 (just ahead of E3 2019), giving players another chance to capture a rare Pokemon and earn other in-game bonuses.

Pokemon Go Community Days typically only run for three hours, although the specifics of each event–such as what the featured Pokemon will be and what time it’ll begin–tend to vary month by month. To help you prepare, we’ve rounded up all of the most important details about June’s Community Day below, from its start time to its featured Pokemon and special event-exclusive move.

What Is The Featured Pokemon?

No Caption Provided

Each Community Day, Niantic designates one “featured” Pokemon, which will appear in the wild much more frequently than normal throughout the event. This month, the featured Pokemon is Slakoth, the adorable sloth from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire versions. During the Community Day, there will be increased Slakoth spawns, and if you’re lucky, you may also even encounter a Shiny Slakoth for the first time.

What Is The Event Move?

On top of appearing more frequently in the wild, each month’s featured Pokemon is also capable of learning a special move that it otherwise couldn’t obtain in Pokemon Go. In order to learn this move, players will typically need to evolve the featured Pokemon into its final form by the time the Community Day ends. Since evolution requires a lot of Candy, you’ll need to catch as many of the featured Pokemon as possible in order to stock up the required amount.

That’s also the case with Slakoth. If you’re able to evolve it into its final form, Slaking, during this month’s Community Day, it’ll automatically learn the powerful Normal-type move Body Slam. You’ll have up to an hour after the event ends to obtain the special move, and any Slaking you evolve is capable of learning it so long as it evolves during the designated time frame, even if you captured its previous forms outside of the event.

What Time Does It Start?

In the past, Niantic hosted each Community Day during a specific window of time, which varied depending upon what region you lived in; North America’s event, for instance, would always run from 11 AM – 2 PM PT, while Europe’s Community Day would take place from 10 AM – 1 PM UTC.

Beginning this past March, however, Niantic changed the Community Day schedule. Now, rather than holding the event during a different window of time in each region, the Community Day will take place everywhere from 3-6 PM local time. This should make it much easier to remember when the event is happening in your area, as you no longer need to convert the event hours to your local time zone.

What Other Bonuses Are There?

In addition to increased Pokemon spawns, Niantic offers a few other incentives to participate in Community Day. This month, Pokemon Eggs will hatch at a quarter of their usual distance during the event, allowing you to hatch Pokemon more quickly than normal. On top of that, any Lure Modules you use will last three hours, rather than their usual 30 minutes.
