Jurassic Park: Jeff Goldblum Recreates Iconic Movie Pose From Almost 30 Years Ago

As a reward for fans who either registered to vote, or checked to make sure they were registered, actor Jeff Goldblum recreated the now-classic Dr. Ian Malcolm unbuttoned shirt pose from 1993’s Jurassic Park.

Of course, you know the pose we’re talking about. It’s Dr. Malcolm’s recuperating, reclining state after the film’s legendary T-Rex attack. And the resurgence of the image from a few years back, during arrival of the new Jurassic World films helped Goldblum’s pop culture stock rise considerably. There was even a 25-foot tall statue built in London that payed homage to the scene.

Here’s “the smolder” from 1993…

Here’s the new image, posted by Goldblum to his Instagram account where he thanked those who resisted to vote, writing “Nearly 3,000 of you are ready for this November’s election. Here’s your reward…how time flies.”

The third film in the franchise’s new trilogy, Jurassic World: Dominion, recently paused filming after multiple crew members tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard have returned to resume their Jurassic World lead roles while original Jurassic Park cast members Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern are part of the film as well.

Razer Sells Sneki Snek Plush To Help Save Trees

Razer had plenty of new products to announce during its RazerCon 2020 virtual press conference, including a new PC gaming case, new headphones, and a new microphone, but the company also revealed something a bit unexpected: a plush toy. The Sneki Snek plush is based on Razer’s cartoon mascot, and you’ll be helping to save trees if you buy one.

Razer partnered with Conservation International when creating the Sneki Snek plush, and it is donating funds to save 10 trees for every plush sold. Its goal is to save 100,000 trees through the campaign, which would mean selling 10,000 Sneki Snek plushes. They’re available to purchase now for $30, and as of this writing, Razer has already sold enough to save over 6,000.

Trees are being saved in a variety of countries around the world, including Colombia, Peru, Brazil, the Philippines, Fiji, Madagascar, and China. The package the plush comes in is also biodegradable, and you will get a temporary tattoo patch with the SNEKISURPRISE code when you check out.

It’s hard to resist the little fellow’s giant eyes, resembling Toothless from the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. He seems a little less destructive than the dragon, however, so you probably don’t have to worry about him burning your house down.

You can check out our RazerCon roundup for the latest information and announcements. Razer even decided to partner with Twinkly on Chrome RGB Christmas lights, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Here’s How Call Of Duty: Warzone Might Change For Halloween

Call of Duty: Warzone players have heard mysterious and creepy sounds while playing over the last week. The sound of children laughing in the distance, along with other spooky noises in different areas of the map, has built up a lot of excitement for the battle royale’s first seasonal event: the Haunting of Verdansk.

The Haunting of Verdansk will be Warzone’s first seasonal event and could be bringing some fresh ideas to Verdansk. While few details about the Haunting of Verdansk have been officially confirmed, players believe that a night mode, zombies, and other creepy surprises are coming to Warzone on October 20 when the event begins.

One of the biggest potential changes will be a night mode that puts Verdansk under a moonlit sky. The mode was showcased for a few moments in the Season 6 trailer as shown in the video below. Warzone players have wanted a night mode for months, and they hope that it isn’t restricted to a limited-time mode.

The night mode is one of the few changes that players are certain is coming, although they hope more environmental tweaks come with the event. Among the ideas that fans have proposed are fog and more subtle noises, like ghost footsteps, that pop up randomly throughout the map to give certain buildings a haunted vibe.

Dataminers have also found evidence of a zombie royale mode in the game’s files. The mode, revealed by now-deleted tweets from the ModernWarzone Twitter account, will have dead players come back to life as zombies and “consume fallen player’s hearts” in order to revive themselves. We don’t know how the mode work beyond that, though.

Leaked audio lines, including one that says “zombies aren’t affected by the gas” further suggests zombies getting will be added to Verdansk as either NPCs or a respawn method where players become zombies after they die. This wouldn’t be the first time zombies have been included in a CoD battle royale. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode featured zombies roaming around several locations on its map

The Haunting of Verdansk runs from October 20 to November 3. It’s just one of the pieces of Infinity Ward’s Warzone Season 6 roadmap.

The Walking Dead: When Will Maggie And Negan Cross Paths? Probably Sooner Than You Think

Now that the episode that was originally slated to be the Season 10 finale of The Walking Dead has aired, there’s one question on everyone’s mind: What’s going to happen when Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) finally meet again? With the next season of the AMC series being the last, you might think that would be the perfect time for it to happen. However, it sounds entirely possible we’ll see that showdown before then.

When asked what their meeting would be like during The Walking Dead’s New York Comic Con 2020 panel, showrunner Angela Kang simply said, “You’ll see in the episodes to come.” However, she also revealed that the upcoming Season 10 bonus episodes, which will debut early in 2021, will feature a Maggie-centric story.

“We’re really going to see an episode with Maggie when she comes back, since we just got to see her for a little bit in the finale that just aired,” Kang teased. However, she was also careful to note how everyone on the NYCC panel, including Morgan, would figure into the bonus episodes. It’s hard to imagine a more meaningful story for Negan, at this point, than having to face Maggie and her child, knowing that he brutally murdered her husband Glenn.

After all, this isn’t the same Negan that swung around his barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat, caving in the heads of his foes. While he still isn’t completely trusted by those around him, he’s at least a somewhat reformed man. Of course, that’s news that Maggie might not care to hear.

At this point, though, it remains to be seen how she’ll find out about his current place in the group. “[It] will be interesting to see if anybody, like, kind of tells Maggie what Negan’s been up to or if [they] put it on Negan to start from scratch with this,” Morgan said during the panel.

While he’s not sure how it will happen, the actor has discussed the potential story with Cohan. “Lauren and I talked about it a little bit. So we’re both very excited to kind of see how that plays out,” he said.

Thus far, there is no premiere date for the next episodes of The Walking Dead. However, Kang did reveal that some cast members are currently in Georgia, preparing to film for the series. The Walking Dead will return in early 2021.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond NYCC 2020 Panel Gives Rick Grimes Update, Sort Of

The second Walking Dead companion series, World Beyond, just debuted on October 4, and already, there is a huge connection to the mainline AMC series and an even bigger connection to the show’s former main protagonist Rick Grimes. During a panel at New York Comic-Con 2020, we got to learn a bit about how Grimes is connected to the newest Walking Dead series.

During Season 9 of The Walking Dead–spoilers–Grimes seemingly sacrificed himself but ended up living, unbeknownst to his friends. He was picked up by a black helicopter with an insignia on it. Early on in the first episode of World Beyond, a black helicopter with that same insignia is seen and we learn it’s the symbol of the Alliance of the Three, also known as the Civic Republic.

“The show obviously serves as an introduction to the organization–civilizations–that Rick has gotten somehow tied up in, in some way,” explained Walking Dead chief creative officer Scott Gimple. “Do we need to worry about him? Rick Grimes kind of takes care of himself. He’s pretty good at that sort of thing but it does look like his situation is going to be challenged in some pronounced way.”

There are still Walking Dead movies happening, which were teased last year at SDCC and confirmed to still be happening during The Walking Dead’s panel at NYCC, which will follow Rick Grimes after his alleged death. World Beyond is already giving fans a taste of what to expect in the future.

As for Rick Grimes showing up in World Beyond, that’s unknown. The connections are there, but Gimple was pretty tight-lipped about it.

The World Beyond panel was one of four panels revolving around TWD. Earlier on Saturday, the Fear The Walking Dead panel gave a bit more information about the fate of the unkillable Morgan, who seemed like he was about to be killed the last time we saw him.

Fear The Walking Dead Season 6: Is Morgan Dead?

The big concern coming out of the Season 5 finale of Fear the Walking Dead, for better or worse, was whether or not Morgan (Lennie James) has survived being shot and left to be chomped on by walkers. During the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel, a new trailer hinted that something is very wrong with the character and he seemed to be, at the very least, on death’s door. So, is Morgan a walker now?

It sounds like that is not the case. During the show’s panel at New York Comic Con, co-showrunner Andrew Chambliss hinted about what Morgan’s condition could mean as the season progresses.

“Something’s definitely going on with Morgan and something that we haven’t quite seen before in The Walking Dead universe, and it is going to push Morgan to new places and make him really question everything he’s ever been about and kind of who he wants to be going forward,” he said. “If he gets to go forward.”

What’s more, James teased that when directing the second episode of the new season–which focuses heavily on Strand (Colman Domingo) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey)–he did so while wearing his costumes and extensive makeup for the character. That certainly points to the likelihood that he’s going to somehow survive, yet again. Sure, it’s entirely possible scenes from the first two episodes were filming simultaneously. That said, it’s hard to believe Morgan is going anywhere.

Instead, it sounds like the show will evolve the Morgan character in some way. Given that Fear the Walking Dead has completely morphed itself from originally focusing on the Clark family to becoming the continuing adventures of Morgan, anything is possible.

As for what else to expect from the new season, the producers revealed that a lot of the episodes will almost play like an anthology series, focussing on separate characters that were split apart at the end of Season 5. However, they will all be working toward a common plot development coming later in Season 6.

The sixth season of Fear the Walking Dead premieres Sunday, October 11, on AMC.
