Its hardly news that superhero stories are big business these days with Marvel and DC movies alike regularly passing the $1 billion mark. Those mega-sized super tales are usually reserved for the cinema, but Jupiter’s Legacy from Mark Millar and Netflix hopes to be the exception, according to a new interview with Millar by Empire.
“It’s part 2001, part Avengers, part Godfather II,” said creator Mark Millar in a new interview with Empire. Millar is one of the most-adapted comic creators out there, with original stories like Kick-Ass, Wanted, and Kingsman having made it to the big screen. Millar also wrote Marvel’s Civil War comic series, which became one of the biggest Marvel films. Then, he cut a deal with Netflix to bring his work to the streaming service a few years back. Jupiter’s Legacy will be the first project to make the leap to live-action.
Empire described Jupiter’s Legacy as “a sprawling superhero epic with an almost limitless ambition,” and Millar says the story is a “50-year story self-contained inside one franchise,” and that it has a cast of “50 or 60 super-characters,” which seems almost incomprehensible. The show stars Josh Duhamel (Transformers) as Sheldon Sampson/The Utopian. Other cast members include Ben Daniels, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade, Kara Royster, and Matt Lanter.
“The story starts in 1929 and runs until the end of time,” Millar continued, saying that it gets into the mystery of human existence. You know, the small stuff.
All the while, though, Millar says Netflix has had his team’s back throughout production. “There hasn’t been one conversation where someone said, ‘Can we make that explosion slightly smaller?'” Millar said. “Ambitious ideas are being rewarded.”
Netflix acquired Millar’s Millarworld comic book company in 2017 for an undisclosed sum, and that deal included all of Millar’s works that didn’t already belong to another production house.
“Mark is as close as you can get to a modern-day Stan Lee,” said Netflix’s chief creative officer Ted Sarandos, at the time of the sale.
Neymar Jr., soccer star and pride of the Brazilian National Team, is coming to Fortnite, and why not? This is, after all, a game that has already featured The Terminator, Batman, Ellen Ripley, and now even the Tomb Raider herself, Lara Croft. In Fortnite, there are no bounds to who might show up.
Neymar was teased a few days ago, and has now been fully revealed with even the game’s menus leaving no room for doubt. But you can’t play as him just yet, no matter what Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass tier you climb to. Here’s what you need to know about when he will become unlockable and how you’ll probably go about earning Neymar in Fortnite.
When Is Neymar Coming to Fortnite?
If you heard Neymar is coming to Fortnite and booted up the game today only to find a collection of other characters, such as Agent Jones and DC Comics’ Raven, it’s not your fault. Neymar is a midseason unlockable character for Fortnite Season 6, so he’s not available just yet. In recent seasons, we’ve seen other big names like Predator and Wolverine become available this way, and this time Epic Games is choosing to use a figure from real life instead of beloved fictional characters.

In the game’s menu, it says Neymar will be available in 42 days, which, at time of writing this and barring any delays, should mean his debut will fall on April 27. Until then you won’t be able to select Neymar in the game, but you can get a preview of what accessories he’ll include today.
If you head to the Battle Pass tab in Fortnite and scroll to the “?” page, you’ll see six Neymar Jr. rewards, and though the items themselves remain hidden, we can see by browsing them they include one Harvesting Tool, one Loading Screen, two Banners, one Outfit (Neymar Jr. himself), and an additional Style option, which means players will be able to choose from two different looks for the world-class athlete.

Typically, these midseason rewards are unlocked with additional challenges and by defeating the character themself in-game. While this approach seemed like a natural fit for Wolverine and Predator, it’s going to be a bit weirder to have to take down Neymar Jr. in battle, but until we hear otherwise, this does seem to be the plan. Maybe Epic will shake things up and demand we face Neymar on the pitch. That’s the thing about this game; you never can exactly predict how it’s going to play out.

The Season 6 Battle Pass gives fans access to one long-rumored character and another long-requested, with another famous face coming later this season.
The level 1 unlock is Agent Jones, the protagonist of Fortnite’s elaborate lore book for the past several seasons. Jones has been a desired skin for some time, and Season 6 finally delivers him with several additional cosmetic options too, each one showcasing the increasing urgency of his mission to fix the Zero Point.
Raiding Tombs with Lara Croft
At level 14, players will unlock a new character from the Gaming Legends series. Joining Master Chief and Kratos is the Tomb Raider herself, Lara Croft. Croft comes with various accessories like a quiver Back Bling, a Trail equipping her with dual flares, and a weather parachute right out of the 2013 reboot. Croft also comes in several styles herself, including reboot Lara, classic Lara, a modernized approach to her classic blue tank top, and a solid gold cosmetic.
Quote the Raven
Deep into the season for most folks, Raven from the DC Comics universe will unlock at level 77. Plenty of accessories like wallpapers and emotes will complete the theme for players who like it that way, and her DC Rebirth (2016) skin can be earned by completing 70 Epic (purple) Quests throughout the season.
He Shoots, He Scores
Later this season, likely around Week 6 if past seasons are any indication, world-class soccer star Neymar Jr. will come to Fortnite. Similar to Wolverine and Predator in recent seasons, he will include his own challenges to unlock additional cosmetics throughout the season, and if you keep up with them, they will be completed before he even arrives. For now, we’re left guessing with only a set of question marks where his items will be seen later.

For the completionists, here’s a full rundown of all 100 tiers in the Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass.
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6 is here and early leaks have revealed a full list of vaulted weapons and items, as well as weapons and items making a return. In Fortnite lore, The Vault is an extradimensional nexus housing The Zero Point, but beyond its story significance, it is also where items “go” when they’re removed from the battle royale.

Vaulted Weapons and Items
According to Fortnite leaks on Twitter, the following weapons have been vaulted for Fortnite Season 6, which means they will not be available in the main game.
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6 is finally here. With it comes new primal elements, changes to the island, and of course, a new Battle Pass. Season 6’s Battle Pass offers an assortment of cosmetic items, most of which are made available through continuous play. Other items – like the styles associated with the new Agent Jones skin – act as quest rewards. Unlocking these styles can be a little tricky. Our guide below will help with snagging the first one and we’ll continue to update as we unlock the rest.
How to Unlock The First Agent Jones Style “Jump 15” in Fortnite
The Agent Jones styles are treated like the Mandalorian armor plates. Meaning, players will need to reach certain stages of the Battle Pass before they’re given a chance to complete each quest. For instance, the one that unlocks Jonesy’s first style, Jump 15, is revealed at level 14. The first Agent Jones challenge tasks you with investigating an anomaly detected in Lazy Lake. Seems simple enough. What makes this tricky is that Fortnite doesn’t actually tell you what the anomaly is or where to find it (beyond said lake).
You’ll want to make your way to Lazy Lake upon exiting the Battle Bus. Once there, check each house – I suggest heading towards the blue house in the North part of town. That’s where we found the anomaly which looks like an ethereal butterfly. You know, the thing Agent Jones turns into during the Zero Crisis Finale event.
Once found, the butterfly will head downstairs into the basement. Chase after it. After descending a few stairs, it’ll fly through a wall. Take down the wall and you’ll be greeted with the anomaly seconds before it disappears into a wooden structure. From here, all you have to do is solve a brief puzzle by activating four jewels; you’ll need to activate each one in the right order (Red, Purple, Blue, and Green worked for us) or risk restarting the puzzle. Once complete, you can snag the crystal-like item to unlock Agent Jones’ Jump 15 skin style.
How to Unlock All Agent Jones Styles in Fortnite
To unlock all of Agent Jones styles, players will need to first hit specific Battle Pass levels. Once done, they’ll be given access to the challenges associated with each style:
Jump 23: Investigate an Anomaly Detected on Shark Island (Battle Pass level 28)
Jump 31: Investigate an Anomaly Detected near Catty Corner (Battle Pass level 49)
Jump 42: Investigate an Anomaly Detected in Stealthy Stronghold (Battle Pass level 60)
Jump 88: Investigate an Anomaly Detected in Weeping Woods (Battle Pass level 76)

After recent news that Activision Blizzard has reportedly cut some 50 employees from its workforce, company CEO Bobby Kotick is poised to receive a huge cash payout to the tune of $200 million. The investor firm CtW Investment Group is none too happy about this.
Kotick will get this massive payout thanks to the “Shareholder Value Creation Incentive” provision in his employment agreement. This loophole allows Kotick to receive a full performance equity payout from previous years regardless of whether company milestones were reached. As a result and in the face of the company’s share price increasing over 66 percent since December 2019, Kotick will get cash rewards dating back to 2017.
CtW Investment Group issued a statement reflecting much of what the company said last year when criticizing the Activision Blizzard CEO for raking in more than $30 million in 2019.
“While the increase in Activision’s stock price is somewhat commendable, as we stated last year and continue to assert, this achievement alone does not justify such a substantial pay outcome for the CEO,” director of executive compensation research Michael Varner said. “There are many factors that may contribute to a rise in this particular company’s stock price that may not be directly attributable to Robert Kotick’s leadership. The use of video games as one of the few entertainment options available amid the COVID-19 pandemic, for example, has been a boon to many companies in the gaming industry irrespective of executive talent or strategic decisions.”
Though the two likely aren’t connected, Activision Blizzard reportedly laid off some 50 employees. All were mostly responsible for live events like esports matches. The affected employees are expected to receive at least 90 days severance and health benefits for a year, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier said they will also get a $200 Battle.net gift card.
A Microsoft spokesperson has told IGN that VR is not coming to the Xbox Series X|S at this time after it was reported the Xbox console referred to a VR peripheral.
IGN Italy reported that while testing the new Xbox Wireless Headset a prompt appeared on their Xbox Series X system saying their “VR Headset” needs an update. This suggests the Xbox Series X supports VR peripherals in some capacity.
However, a Microsoft Spokesperson says this is not the case. In a statement to IGN, the company says, “The copy in this error message is inaccurate due to a localization bug. VR for console is not a focus for us at this time.”

Microsoft has been asked in the past whether it will bring VR to the Xbox, but the company has been cool on the idea. Ahead of the Xbox Series X reveal in 2019, Phil Spencer said that VR is not part of its next-gen plans because “nobody’s asking for it.”
Compare this with PlayStation which has been an early adopter of console VR, and fairly successful with its venture to boot. The company recently announced a new VR headset for the PlayStation 5.
Meanwhile, Microsoft isn’t completely out of the VR game though most, if not all, of its efforts, are entirely on the PC side of things. Windows mixed reality platform works with VR games, and the HoloLens AR headset recently revealed a Pokemon demo created in partnership with Niantic using the Microsoft Mesh mixed reality platform.
So at this time at least, Microsoft seems content keeping AR/VR on PC while focusing on other ventures for its Xbox Series X hardware.

WandaVision is one of Marvel Studios’ most unique projects to date, featuring homages to classic American sitcoms, the introduction of chaos magic, and a truly fantastic villain reveal. And while the show pulls from many of Wanda and Vision’s biggest comics arcs, it is Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta’s Eisner Award-winning Vision series that gives structure to the show about one of comics’ most tragic couples (and their twins).
As the title suggests, Vision is about, well, Vision, and his own ideal family. Of course, WandaVision became like the Hex and recontextualized Tom King’s Vision to be told from Wanda’s perspective, changing specific elements from the comics, but keeping the truth of the story intact. The messaging and structure are the same, just under a different coat of paint. This decision also enabled Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and company to further build out the MCU by utilizing existing characters and plots to bridge some gaps between the cinematic sagas.

What Is Tom King’s Vision About?
In an interview with Variety, Fiege specifically mentioned Tom King’s Vision as an inspiration for the series. He wanted to pay tribute to the classic family sitcoms he grew up watching, while also wanting to do “something that can only be done for television” in the first MCU series on Disney+.
And King’s Vision is the perfect story to adapt. It’s a family drama contained in 12 issues that is seemingly removed from any other major characters or on-going storylines, while also focused on internal dilemmas. (So like This Is Us, but with superpowers!) Taking place years after his marriage to Wanda, Vision creates a synthezoid family of his own and they move to the suburbs of Arlington, VA. Yet, when problems start popping up for his wife, Virginia, and their twin teenagers, Vin and Viv, the usually logical Vision chooses to solve these issues with increasingly irrational solutions… which makes him increasingly dangerous.
On the show, of course, Wanda and Vision (or a version of Vision) move to the TV sitcom version of Westview, NJ, and have a set of twins of their own, Billy and Tommy. And as external forces break the fourth wall of Wanda’s perfect world, she becomes increasingly desperate to protect her family. So beyond the nostalgia and suburbia of the comic, the story also serves as the blueprint for WandaVision’s themes, tone, and story structure.
King’s Vision and WandaVision share a core theme in asking the question: What are you willing to do to protect your family? In the comics, it is Virginia (who is revealed to be a synthezoid created with Wanda’s brainwaves) whose actions drive the story. Left to her own devices, Virginia leaves a trail of bodies and secrets that she struggles to keep from ruining Vision’s ideal life. The I Love Lucy and Bewitched tributes succinctly set up the show’s thesis. But Wanda’s denial fights the truth of her reality and cracks in her Westview world start to show. Soon, WandaVision hints that something more nefarious and sinister is hanging over the town of Westview — something more Stepford than Leave It to Beaver.
Good thing she has Agnes around to help her through any sticky situation…
Agatha All Along
Making Wanda the main character also brings Agnes… uh, Agatha, to the forefront. However, Agatha’s dynamic with Wanda on the show is more Ursula/Ariel than their traditional mentor-mentee relationship in the comics. They do play that mentor relationship in the expert casting of Kathryn Hahn as the nosy neighbor/confidante who guides TV Wanda through this new world she’s created.
Knowing how the twins’ dog Sparky met his end (twice) in the comic tips WandaVision’s hand in revealing Agnes as Agatha Harkness on the show. In the comics, Sparky is the neighbor’s dog who dies and is brought back as a synthezoid pet for Viv and Vin. The revived Sparky then eats from the Wundagore Everbloom plant and Virginia eats him to see Vision’s future. Dark!
In the show Billy and Tommy find and name Sparky, but later the dog dies after eating off Agnes’ azalea bushes, which can be seen as the show’s Everbloom. We don’t see anyone eat Sparky (eyes), but the theme of fate and time are explored in a different way on the show.
RIP Sparky.
The Wundagore Everbloom
Both the show and the comic deal with the concept of self-fulfilling fate. WandaVision explores this idea with Wanda becoming the Scarlet Witch, while in the comics Agatha sees a future where Vision is attacking the Avengers (after she eats from the Wundagore Everbloom plant). There is no specific reference to the Everbloom on the show, but the houseplant Agatha gifts Wanda in the first episode and Agatha’s lethal azalea are shorthand for it.
The show uses the witch myth of the Scarlet Witch as a prophecy Wanda herself sees when she first interacts with the Mind Stone, and one that she steps into while fighting Agatha. By giving Agatha this more high-profile and direct role in Wanda’s transition to the Scarlet Witch, this allows the MCU to tap more into magic and the Darkhold going forward too.
The Brother
When Evan Peters was re-introduced as “Pietro” at the end of Episode 5, the question of whether or not he was Fox’s version of the speedster hung over fans for the rest of the series. But his inclusion, which is more of a nod and a wink to X-Men fans than a hint of mutants coming to the MCU, parallels the role of Vision’s own brother in the comics, Victor Mancha. Vision’s half-brother by way of Ultron, Victor was sent by the Avengers to spy on and take down Vision if needed after Agatha warns them about Vision’s future turn as a threat to the Avengers. So while Pietro was revealed to be Agatha’s puppet, the intent is the same: an outside party using a family member to lower our hero’s guard. And since Pietro was already introduced in the MCU, it’s just easier to bring his character back (albeit with a different face).
A brother returns!
Many fans were upset that Evan Peters’ Pietro is no more than a (Ralph) Bohner joke, but his casting impressively juggles the roles of a Victor Mancha stand-in, meta-decoy, and sitcom uncle. It’s stunt casting that actually fulfilled an important, multi-layered role using misdirection. WandaVision used the death of Pietro, as well as the casting of a different cinematic Pietro, to the show’s advantage. And given Peters’ natural comedic timing, he seamlessly fits the role of the wacky uncle.
The Gem, the Mind Stone and the White Vision
Both comics Vision and live-action Wanda recreate their lost partners from themselves. Wanda, in her grief, uses chaos magic to create a Vision from the piece of the Mind Stone that is within her. In the comics, Vision uses the gem gifted to him by Wanda, which has her brain waves and memories, to create his wife Virginia.
This element is adapted in two different ways: when Wanda creates Vision from her own Mind Stone energy fused in her body, and when Hex Vision awakens White Vision with his own memories. With this White Vision now finding himself on an Eat, Pray, Love journey with the original Vision’s memories, the door is left open for Paul Bettany and Vision to return to the MCU and even find his way back to Wanda.
The show ends the same way the comic does: a goodbye in the living room.
After harming the town she was supposed to thrive in, Wanda exiles herself for her mistakes. Virginia understands (as an echo of Wanda’s brainwaves) how important Vision’s humanity is to him, so she corrupts her machinery so that Vision can continue living with an intact conscience and reputation. She dies in his arms. In the show, Wanda and Vision hold hands and watch as she releases the hold over Westview and her fantasy.
Ultimately, it makes sense for the show to focus on Wanda over Vision. Her pattern of loss in the MCU is significant and has been her defining arc so far. She sacrifices her happiness in the show in order to grow and strengthen herself against emotional obstacles, or taking on an evil streak like she saw in Agatha. Wanda made the ultimate sacrifice, proving herself to be stronger than she once thought she was.
Vision says goodbye in the comic and in the show.
Both WandaVision and Tom King’s Vision explore the desperate lengths one will go to in order to recapture a past memory. WandaVision is a series patterned off Tom King’s Vision brainwaves, and the story of Wanda and Vision is a loop of love and loss. In the MCU, Wanda and Vision’s story ended too soon and too sadly, but now we have a more complete examination of what their life could’ve been. Yet, rather than being a story of wrath or pain, WandaVision ended with the biggest lesson shared in Tom King’s graphic novel: In the end, we begin again. It’s no “What is grief, if not love persevering?” but echoes of it still live there.

During the month of April, there are new movies, TV shows, and more coming to Hulu. The streaming service isn’t just curating content though. There are a few original series and specials you’ll want check out, like the new season of Handmaid’s Tale.
It’s been quite a while since the last season of Handmaid’s Tale arrived on Hulu. Luckily, the wait for Season 4 is almost over. The first three episodes of the new season will arrive on April 28, and new episodes will land on Wednesdays. Season 4 will consist of 10 episodes. A revolution is brewing with June becoming the figurehead against Gilead, and the latest trailer looks pretty intense, check it out for yourself below.
If The Handmaid’s Tale isn’t up your alley, and you’re looking for something more along the lines of a documentary, with a cryptozoologist twist, you might want to watch Sasquatch, which arrives on April 20. “While visiting a pot farm in northern California in 1993, investigative journalist David Holthouse heard a story that still haunts him: On a nearby farm, three men were torn limb from limb in a savage Bigfoot attack,” reads the official synopsis. “Sasquatch follows David as he revisits the Redwoods 25 years later, in search of any evidence that might lead to the truth of what happened that night. As he pulls at the threads of this story, he’ll be taken down a path that’s far more terrifying than anyone would have imagined.”
The upcoming original documentary seems to deal quite a bit with the wild west atmosphere of pot growers in northern California, which is an interesting story on its own. Hulu recently released a trailer for the upcoming documentary, and you can see it for yourself below.
If you’re looking for some anime, Hulu has a few selections coming to the service thanks to Funimation. Episodes 1-12 of Season 1 of Higurashi: When They Cry arrive on April 1. On April 7 the first 12 episodes of Season 1 of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World, and on April 10, Episodes 1-12 of Season 1 of The Day I Became a God land on the streaming service.
Lastly, you can get your Guy Fieri fix on April 1 as Season 34 and 35 of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives hits Hulu. Find out which diner’s Denver omelette really brings Guy to Flavortown. And even if Guy driving around in a convertable across the country to find the best chicken-fried streak doesn’t pique your interest, you can still watch Season 22 of Guy’s Grocery Games on April 1 as well, which is a lot of fun.

Blizzard has reportedly cut 50 people from its workforce as the company shifts away from live events, a decision brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. [Update: Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier said “dozens of people at the whole company” have been affected, not just those in live events. Schreier also noted that the affected employees will receive $200 Battle.net gift cards on top of the 90 severance and health benefits for one year.]
According to a Bloomberg report, the affected employees come from support departments largely responsible for live events, including esports matches. A company spokesperson said that Blizzard and its esports team has “had to adapt” to the world’s new conditions.
“Players are increasingly choosing to connect with our games digitally and the e-sports team, much like traditional sports, entertainment, and broadcasting industries, has had to adapt its business due to the impact the pandemic has had on live events,” the spokesperson said.
Those affected will get at least 90 days severance and health benefits for a year, Bloomberg reports. Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick, meanwhile, took home over $30 million in 2019. This has been disputed by critics, though Activision itself continues to defend Kotick’s salary.
