Today’s long-awaited Verdansk nuke event in Call of Duty: Warzone isn’t going smoothly. Warzone players on Reddit are reporting being stuck in unmoving server queues (and have now expanded to impact CoD: Black Ops Cold War, too). The event began at 12 PM PST / 3 PM EST and was only scheduled to run for two hours, making it a real problem that some players were unable to get right in–and leading to some anger (and memes) from fans on Twitter. Activision has since extended the event by an hour and is now set to end shortly as of the time of this writing.
Activision has commented on the apparent struggle players are going through to log on to Call of Duty: Warzone. In a tweet posted by the Activision Support account, the company said, “We’re actively investigating an issue with long wait times in the server queue for Warzone.” Players trying to get into a game of Call of Duty: Warzone are being met with a server queue that remains locked at 20 minutes.
We’re actively investigating an issue with long wait times in the server queue for #WARZONE. Stay tuned for updates.
A number of players that make it through the server queue are still reporting server issues. For some players, the end of a match is met with a server error or game crash. It is possible to play through the event in its entirety though.
Call of Duty: Warzone developer Raven Software has also commented on the ongoing issues via Twitter. The developer is “actively investigating the Warzone Destruction of Verdansk part 1 server issues.” An update is also on the way that should “help reduce the frequency of crashes.” As noted above, the event was also extended by one hour, running until 3 PM ET. There’s no indication that access to this event will ever be available on
The Destruction of Verdansk Part 1 has been extended for another hour. Dive into #Warzone now.
If you can’t get in to Warzone and want to watch the event, you can catch the GameSpot stream of the Destruction of Verdansk on YouTube.
Over on Twitter, fans have been reacting with memes targeting Activision for the server issues. You can check out a sampling below (hopefully you’re a SpongeBob fan).
On the heels of a steady and slow-burning recent online petition to have LeVar Burton host Jeopardy, the world has listened, and it is now officially making it happen. Although the actor hasn’t yet been named an official successor to former host Alex Trebek after his death, Variety is reporting that Burton will be one of the final guest hosts who will finish out the show’s current season. The dates Burton will rotate in have not yet been announced.
“Our goal has been to present a wide variety of guest hosts with different skill sets and backgrounds on our path to finding a permanent host,” Jeopardy executive producer Mike Richards said in a statement (via Variety). “Our passionate fans are telling us what they like, and we are listening. All of the guest hosts have brought individualism, energy and an authentic love of our show to each of their episodes. We look forward to sharing the rest of the season with our viewers.”
Since we last reported on the vocal push for Burton to be given a shot as host–which at the time was given a lift by the actor himself on Twitter–the aforementioned campaign has surged to over 246,000 digital signatures.
Since former host Alex Trebek’s death in November, a rotation of guest hosts have temporarily stepped in to command the podium and take contestant answers phrased in the form of questions. The current guest host is CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, who has just stepped in for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Future guest hosts afterwards will include TV personalities Katie Couric and Dr. Mehmet Oz, actress Mayim Bialik, and Today host Savannah Guthrie. While no official successor has yet been named, long-time Jeopardy champion Ken Jennings had stepped in first as interim host.
Still, it’s hard to argue against Burton taking over for Trebek. The Star Trek actor has long since broadened his platform into a proven education-minded performer, hosting Reading Rainbow for 23 years.
Share Factory Studio users have reason to rejoice as a brand-new update to the PlayStation 5’s internal video editing software has been released, bringing with it more ways for aspiring video editors to make their gameplay shine starting today.
The PlayStation Blog lays out all of the new features coming to Share Factory Studio through this new update, including a highly-requested increase in both the amount of clips allowed per project and the number of transitions between them. Both clips and transitions have increased by 50 on the main editing track, to 100 and 99 respectively.
“We have been blown away by the creativity and how players were using the app ever since,” Stuart Platt, Senior Producer of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said in the blog post. “Since then, we’ve listened to the PlayStation community’s feedback and incorporated ongoing improvements and enhancements to SHAREfactory over the years to make the editing experience a smooth one for gamers.”
The update also allows Share Factory Studio to use HDR screenshots for the first time, while also adding indicators on the editing tracks for HD, 4K, and HDR clips to let the user know what format each clip is using. Videos can also now be created with up to 4K resolution at 60 FPS and HDR enabled. Music track counts have also been increased to 24, up from 12 in the previous version. Likewise, the number of transitions allowed in Track 2 has also increased from 10 to 20.
Share Factory Studio was included on the PlayStation 5’s hard drive at launch as a free service when the console launched back in November. This marks the first time the service has been updated in the console’s five months on the market.

We also have more information on the various multiplayer modes being added to the game, including a classic Black Ops game type, Sticks and Stones.
Movement in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is also being changed, but not in many radical ways. Movement will still feel the same for the most part, except for going prone. Don’t forget to check back with GameSpot as we learn more about Call of Duty Season 3.
Netflix has announced that its dramedy series Master of None, co-created by Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation) and Alan Yang (The Good Place), will finally be coming back for Season 3 sometime in May. After a series of delays since Season 2 in 2017, the announcement was surprisingly quietly tucked under a “coming soon” column in a tweet from the streaming service sharing what’s ahead in May.
According to Variety, the season will consist of five episodes–although it’s unclear as of this writing if the series may adopt a model similar to other series, rolling out half of a season’s episode on one date, then the rest later. The first five episodes are under a banner titled “Master of None Presents: Moments in Love,” and these are expected to focus on Lena Waithe’s character, Denise. These episodes have reportedly been co-written with Ansari and Waithe.
That Master of None is coming back at all is somewhat of a surprise, and likely a divisive one. In January 2018, in the wake of #MeToo, Ansari was accused of sexual misconduct by a woman using the pseudonym “Grace.” Although public opinion was split on whether Ansari’s actions constituted sexual misconduct and whether these accusations trivialized the #MeToo movement, Ansari publicly apologized, and has largely stayed out of the spotlight. In 2019, he spoke about the controversy in a special titled Aziz Ansari: Right Now.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is getting immortalized in a new series of Funko Pops, and they’re now available to preorder. This latest collection includes some iconic characters and moments from the classic animated series, which is now streaming on Netflix.
The biggest new piece of the set offers a detailed look at the hero Aang as he appears in the Avatar state, with glowing eyes and summoning all four elements around him. But some other notable characters are represented as well, including Suki and Ty Lee, the ambitious Admiral Zhao holding a familiar sack, and the series’ arch-villain Fire Lord Ozai. The new Pops are set to ship in July.
Aang in the Avatar state has an orb of elemental energy surrounding him that represents all four elements: earth, water, fire, and air. The Super Sized collectible is bigger than a regular Pop at 6 inches, and costs slightly more than your average Funko Pop. There’s also a Target-exclusive version that glows in the dark.
Admiral Zhao, the ambitious villain who made a memorable appearance in the first season, makes for a stylish Funko Pop. Hey wait, what’s in that bag? An Amazon-exclusive glow-in-the-dark version swaps the bag for a flame.
Hulu has made a 10-episode, straight-to-series order for a sequel to How I Met Your Mother called How I Met Your Father.
This news comes by way of a report from The Hollywood Reporter which says that Hilary Duff is set to star in the comedy television series. HIMYM creators, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, are returning to the sequel series to executive produce alongside This Is Us showrunners, Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Aptaker and Berger will also oversee HIMYF.
“We are beyond excited to be bringing How I Met Your Father to Hulu,” Aptaker and Berger told THR. “Carter and Craig’s iconic original series revolutionized the half-hour comedy, and we are so honored to be carrying the torch forward for the next generation — and with Hilary Duff no less.”
The two said they can’t wait for audiences to meet Sophie, who will be played by Duff, and her crew while watching them “come into their own and find love in modern-day New York City.” This news comes months after Duff announced that a Disney Plus reboot to Lizzie McGuire had been cancelled. She’s continued to star in Paramount Plus series, Younger, since then and will now star in HIMYF.
“I’ve been incredibly lucky in my career to play some wonderful characters and I’m looking forward to taking on the role of Sophie,” Duff told THR. “As a huge fan of How I Met Your Mother, I’m honored and even a little nervous that Carter and Craig would trust me with the sequel of their baby. Isaac and Elizabeth are brilliant, and I can’t wait to work alongside them and all of their genius.”
According to THR, Hulu’s official logline for the sequel series is the following: “In the near future, Sophie is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.”
A premier date or release window has not yet been determined for HIMYF.
Fortnite Season 6 Week 6 Quests will go live tomorrow morning around 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET and among them is a new sightseeing challenge that asks you to stop at three landmarks. Particularly, you’ll want to visit Fancy View, Rainbow Rentals, and Lockie’s Lighthouse. As these aren’t named on the map, we’ve gone ahead and marked each spot for you so you can collect a bounty of XP.
Visit Fancy View, Rainbow Rentals, And Lockie’s Lighthouse
Fancy View, Rainbow Rentals, and Lockie’s Lighthouse locations
Because these landmarks need only be visited and not landed at, you can try and get them all in a single round, though you’ll likely need a vehicle as one is quite far from the others. At the northernmost part of the island, northwest of Stealthy Stronghold, you’ll find Lockie’s Lighthouse standing tall.
If you grab a boat, you can quickly move down the western shore of the island until you dock at Fancy View, the hillside home southwest of Sweaty Sands. It’s adorned with Rocket League memorabilia like posters, a trophy, and you can usually find a custom Whiplash in the garage featuring decals from Epic’s other live-service mega-hit.
Hop back in your boat if you have one or otherwise keep heading down the shore until you finally get to Rainbow Rentals southwest of Holly Hedges. These colorful beachfront cottages are timeshare properties, but for this challenge, you need only to reserve a brief moment there. Once you’ve visited all three landmarks in either a single or multiple rounds, the challenge will be completed and the XP will be yours.
