Phoebe Waller-Bridge Exits Amazon’s Mr. And Mrs. Smith Reboot Show

Phoebe Waller-Bridge will no longer star in Amazon’s reboot series of the movie Mr. And Mrs. Smith. The show was first announced in February, and Waller-Bridge was set to star alongside Donald Glover.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fleabag creator Waller-Bridge has exited Mr. And Mrs. Smith due to “creative differences.” Glover is still attached to the project, both as an actor, co-creator, and executive producer. Francesca Sloane (Fargo) is the showrunner on the series, which is currently being written and will start production in 2022. THR states that it was Glover who first approached Waller-Bridge about appearing with him in the show and that the split is entirely amicable.

Mr. And Mrs. Smith focuses on married assassins who are both hired to kill each other. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt played the roles in the 2005 movie, which was directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow) and made over $487 million at the worldwide box office.

Although Waller-Bridge has left this project, she will remain involved with Amazon. The studio previously co-produced the second season of Fleabag, and in 2019, she signed a huge deal with Amazon to develop new shows.

Waller-Bridge is part of the cast of the fifth Indiana Jones movie, which is currently in production ahead of a July 2022 release. The movie recently added Antonio Banderas to a cast that also includes Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renee Wilson, and Thomas Kretschmann. Harrison Ford will return as the iconic archaeologist, with Logan’s James Mangold directing.

Fortnite: Where To Place Warning Signs – Season 7 Week 14 Quest

Fortnite is entering the final week of Season 7, and you’ll need to place warning signs this week in order to complete one of the last Legendary Quests of the season. There are a few places where you can do this, and we’ll show you each of them so you can decide which route makes the most sense for you. This challenge will go live on Wednesday, September 8 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.

Fortnite: Where To Place Warning Signs

There are three towns in which you can place warning signs, and each town offers multiple spots for you to perform the task. Given that you need to place four warning signs in total, you could complete this challenge by only visiting one location if you’re really efficient. We’ll still show you all the spots though, just in case it takes multiple tries or you have to book it out of one region simply to survive the round.

Let’s start in Misty Meadows. There are three signs with which you can interact in this location. You can find them:

  • Just off the northern road by the coffee shop
  • In front of the deli at the end of the same road
  • Outside the covered picnic area beside the clock tower
Warning signs in Misty Meadows

If your travels take you instead to Dirty Docks, you can find four signs there too. Look for warning signs:

  • Outside the central brick building with the jagged roof
  • Outside on the northeast corner of the silver warehouse
  • Outside on the southwest (opposite) corner of the same silver warehouse
  • On the sidewalk near the tall orange cranes
Warning signs in Dirty Docks

If neither locale suits you, you can find three more signs within Pleasant Park. Place warning signs:

  • On the sidewalk beside the northeastern white house
  • On the sidewalk between the central gazebo and the eastern brown house
  • On the sidewalk opposite the western white house
Warning signs in Pleasant Park

In narrative terms, you’ll be placing these signs to warn the people of Apollo that something big is happening, and they may just be caught in the crash zone. Slone’s final plan, Operation: Sky Fire, is set to deliver a final explosive sendoff to the alien invaders, and locations like Misty Meadows, Dirty Docks, and Pleasant Park may be made anew in Fortnite Season 8.

Don’t forget to finish off the complete list of Week 14 challenges before the operation is underway this weekend. It’ll be your last chance to earn Season 7 XP.

Stardew Valley Creator Focused on Unrevealed New Game Rather Than Updates

Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone says that he is currently focused on creating a new, unrevealed game rather than fresh updates for his immensely popular farming simulator.

Speaking recently to Zach Hartman on Twitch (as reported by Eurogamer) following the conclusion of the first official Stardew Valley Cup, Barone explained that he’s currently not working on future Stardew Valley updates because he has been focused on a new game.

“I’m not saying there’s going to be another Stardew Valley update,” Barone added during his response to a fan’s question surrounding future updates and marriage options within the game. “I don’t even know at this point. Right now I am focused on my next game. So, we’ll see.”

Whilst Barone kept details surrounding the new title close to his chest, he did provide fans a few details to mull over in the lead-up to an official reveal, which he then teased may end up coming sometime in the near future.

“I may announce it fairly soon, what it is – no-one knows at this point,” he said during the stream. “What I will say is that it’s another pixel art game, a top-down perspective similar to Stardew Valley. In some ways, it is kind of similar to Stardew Valley, but it’s also not a farming game. It’s something different.”

As previously mentioned, details surrounding the new game come off the back of the first Stardew Valley Cup. The event, which was co-ran by Barone and Hartman, marks the game’s first official competitive tournament and had a prize pool of just under $40,000. Following the conclusion of the stream, Barone congratulated the winning team, Sandy’s Candies on Twitter.

Stardew Valley has seen monumental success since its initial release in 2016, building up an impressive and dedicated community. The game has not only reached almost every major modern platform gaming has to offer through ports for Switch, mobile, and home consoles, but this year it also received its own board game.

If Barone’s new title features the farming simulator’s charm, charisma and replayability, then he’ll undoubtedly have a loyal fanbase ready to flock toward it – and another winner on his hands.

Fortnite Season 7 Week 14 Challenges

It’s the dawn of the final day in Fortnite Season 7. The Week 14 challenges, including more Legendary and Epic Quests, are upon us. With one final assault on the aliens planned, this week’s challenges will have you doing Slone’s bidding one last time. The Legendary Quests go live on Wednesday, September 8 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET, while the Epic Quests and Wild Weeks Quests follow exactly 24 hours later.

Season 7 Week 14 Legendary Quests

  • Get Slone’s orders from a payphone – 15,000 XP
  • Warn characters of impending doom (3) – 45,000 XP
  • Place warning signs (4) – 30,000 XP
  • Shut down the radar dishes (2) – 30,000 XP
  • Spoil the mole’s sabotage attempt (1) – 30,000 XP
  • Confront the mole (1) – 30,000 XP

Season 7 Week 14 Epic Quests

  • Activate a rift after purchasing it from a character (1) – 30,000 XP
  • Collect foraged items at Corny Complex (4) – 30,000 XP
  • Destroy alien eggs (3) – 30,000 XP
  • Eliminate an attached alien parasite (1) – 30,000 XP
  • Ignite structures in Holly Hatchery and Corny Complex (25) – 30,000 XP
  • Damage opponents while in a vehicle (150) – 30,000 XP
  • Pop tires on IO vehicles (1) – 30,000 XP

Season 7 Week 14 Wild Weeks Quests

  • Spend gold bars (3,000) – 20,000 XP
  • Spend gold bars (15,000) – 30,000 XP
  • Spend gold bars (50,000) – 50,000 XP

This week’s story quests are building to the all-out war we expect to take part in during Operation: Sky Fire on September 12. To get Slone’s orders from a payphone, visit any payphone at a bus stop. We tend to like the one on the western edge of Misty Meadows so you can loot up after.

To warn characters of impending doom, speak to any three NPCs. You can find them using our NPC locations guide for Season 7. When it’s time to place warning signs, you’ll need to place four of them, but there are several locations to complete this quest. Search on the sidewalks within Dirty Docks, Misty Meadows, or Pleasant Park. Because Slone has been studying the likely trajectory of a downed Mothership, this quest is likely hinting at which locations may receive major Season 8 makeovers.

To shut down the radar dishes, head to any two of the several radar dish stations around the island. If you’re new to the season, just follow the bright red lights when dropping out of the Battle Bus. Approach any two dishes to find a power box. Interact with them to shut down the dish stations and complete this challenge.

We’re still actively researching how to spoil the mole’s sabotage attempt, but you can find that solution here soon. After you do that, you’ll confront the mole once and for all. You may recall we identified the mole as being Maven earlier this season. She resides at the dish station between Craggy Cliffs and Steamy Stacks. You’ll need to exhaust all quest-related dialogue with her when you find her. Expect her to get hostile once she’s been outed.

Be sure to finish all your quests before Sunday, September 12 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET.

Moving onto Epic Quests, the list is, as usual this season, a bit simpler to gauge. You can activate a rift after purchasing it from a character by buying a rift from Bunker Jonesy south of Catty Corner. Again, use our NPC locations guide. To collect foraged items at Corny Complex, look for cabbage, apples, or corn. They’re all available in great abundance since you’re on a farm.

The easiest place to destroy alien eggs is at Holly Hatchery. There’s a small breeding area with several on the southeast corner of the POI. Just don’t get too close or they’ll burst automatically before you can shoot them open. If you need more, find them at Durrr Burger just southeast of Holly Hatchery. Head back to either location with a friend and let a parasite hatch and latch onto your ally. Then shoot or melee it off their head to complete the quest to eliminate an attached alien parasite.

To ignite structures in Holly Hatchery or Corny Complex, look for fireflies. They’re found around some trees where they can be captured in jars, especially outside of Holly Hatchery. Toss them around the location like molotovs and watch them burn. The easiest way to damage opponents in a vehicle is probably going to be to shoot at them in a UFO, though if you come upon anyone driving a land or water vehicle, that would work too, of course.

To pop tires on an IO vehicle, head to any dish station and look for their black sedans with the IO markings on the sides. Shoot or melee their tires to finish off this week’s Epic Quests.

Lastly, the final Wild Weeks Quests will, like last season, revolve around huge discounts on all goods and services sold by NPCs. You’ll need to spend a lot, but because gold will be more abundant, it should be achievable before Sunday’s finale.

Sonic Colors: Ultimate Developer Promises a Patch After Rough Launch

Sonic Colors: Ultimate recently launched across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. However, following a range of issues predominantly affecting the Switch version of the game, the development team at Blind Squirrel Games has promised to patch the title.

The studio thanked fans for their feedback on issues that have been cropping up within the game on Twitter before announcing that it was “preparing a patch for release as soon as possible”.

Sonic the Hedgehog social media manager, Katie Chrzanowski also went on to thank fans for their patience – although noted that the team had seen some graphical issues in the game that were being caused by a Nintendo Switch emulator outside of the studio’s control. Despite some errors being caused by the use of an emulator, a number of reports from players detailing issues have also arisen that don’t fall into this category.

Across Twitter, fans have posted clips sharing their torrid time with Sonic Colors: Ultimate on the Nintendo handheld. Reports from players are varied, with issues seeming to range from glitchy level clearance screens to players falling through the map. If you’re currently playing through Sonic Colors: Ultimate and would like to flag any issues you come across with the game, then you can do so on Sega’s support page.

Fan feedback hasn’t been the only concern that Blind Squirrel Games has had to deal with following the launch of Sonic Colors: Ultimate. The company was called out for not crediting Godot Engine, a free open-source software engine that they used to help develop the game. The studio acknowledged the mistake on Twitter where it said, “We are very sorry about this oversight and are committed to properly crediting all technology that we use.” The studio then went on to say that the credit had been somehow missed following its internal checks but that it would be added in during an upcoming patch.

If you’re looking to purchase a copy of Sonic Colors: Ultimate for Nintendo Switch (or perhaps with the current issues a different platform) then make sure to check out our review of the game where we not only gave it an 8/10 but also said that as a base game it “still remains one of the best examples of how a modern Sonic game should be.”

Aquaman’s New-Look Costume Revealed By Jason Momoa

Aquaman star Jason Momoa has revealed the new-look costume he will wear for the upcoming movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The sequel to 2018’s DC blockbuster hits theaters on December 16, 2022.

Momoa posted an image of the new suit alongside the familiar gold-and-green costume he wore in the first Aquaman. The new costume is a sleek black number–the fins and spikes are gone, and overall it looks like something that is a lot more practical for swimming and fighting in the depths of the ocean. Momoa accompanied the image with a caption that reads, “New suit. More action.” Check it out below:

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is directed by James Wan, who helmed the first Aquaman, as well as hits such as Fast 7, The Conjuring, and the original Saw. Many of the main cast from the first film are returning too, including Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry.

Abdul-Mateen II recently hinted at what fans can expect from the new movie. He stated “the script is better than it was in the first one,” and said it “gives the actors a lot of good storytelling moments.”

There’s also an animated Aquaman show, titled Aquaman: King of Atlantis, heading to HBO Max. The series doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but the first artwork was revealed back in February. One Aquaman-related project we won’t be getting however is the spin-off movie The Trench, which isn’t moving past the development stage.

You Can Now Save $10 on Horizon Forbidden West PS5 Preorders

To recap the recent gamer drama, it was recently announced that Horizon Forbidden West would not be getting an upgrade path from PS4 to PS5, free or paid. There was some social media uproar, and Sony has responded by providing a free PS5 upgrade for those who buy the game on PS4.

Outstanding news, if I might say so myself, and it gets even better. If you preorder Horizon Forbidden West for PS4, that’s $60, and $10 saving compared to PS5 preorders, and you still get both copies of the game (see it at Amazon).

Save $10 on Horizon Forbidden West Preorders with This Trick

The only difference you’ll find if you preorder the game physically is the blue PS4 cover sleeve, instead of the clean white PS5 cover. Before you preorder, better also check out what comes in each Horizon Forbidden West Edition.

It’s not all good news, however, as this trick will only be available for Horizon Forbidden West. Sony has confirmed that all future PS4-PS5 game launches will include a $10 upgrade path for those looking to move between generations of console. So, better take advantage of the discount offer this time around.

With the Forbidden West now delayed to February 2022, it seems likely we’ll be seeing more of Aloy’s next adventure during the PlayStation Showcase 2021, which will arrive on September 9.
