Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Getting More Updates On Nintendo Switch

One of the Nintendo Switch’s most popular games, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, will continue to get more updates, Nintendo has announced. Shinya Takahashi, Nintendo’s head of software development, confirmed this in a Twitter video. Unfortunately, he didn’t have much to say about specifics.

“There will be further updates for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, so please look forward to it,” he said.

Fans would surely love to see more characters and courses, but it remains to be seen what the new updates will include. We’ll report back with more details when they’re announced.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold 9.22 million copies as of March 31, which makes it the second-most commercially successful game for the console, only behind Super Mario Odyssey (10.41 million copies sold).

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a new version of the Wii U game Mario Kart 8. Released in April 2017, the Deluxe edition features all the previously released DLC, along with better graphics and performance, and also other various tweaks and improvements. Just recently, Nintendo announced how you can use Nintendo Labo to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

The next Mario Kart game is Mario Kart: Tour for mobile devices. It will mark the franchise’s debut on mobile platforms, and given the size and appeal of the franchise, it could be Nintendo’s next big success story. The game is due to launch by March 2019.

HBO’s Sharp Objects Only Gets Creepier in Episode 2

It’s likely telling that “Dirt” is one of just three episodes author Gillian Flynn wrote for the adaptation of her debut novel (the other two will be the final episodes of the series). The second entry takes all of the premiere’s various introductions and builds on them in ways both thrilling and quiet, allowing the author to not only cement the tone she wants to strike with this tale, but fully form several characters’ voices. After this episode, the larger mystery feels clearer, while the characters are busy emotionally challenging each other, as well as themselves. Here, Sharp Objects allows itself to enter an early groove that the rest of the series can hopefully work from.

Warcraft Director Duncan Jones Reveals Comic Book Movie Rogue Trooper

Warcraft and Moon director Duncan Jones has teased a Rogue Trooper movie on his Twitter account.

Jones posted a short video of himself wearing a hat, pondering what movie he should make next in front of a cluster of monitors. “One for them or one for me? Studio or wee indie?” he says in a voiceover. “Shall I make a comic book movie, a Marvel film, perhaps DC? Image, or Dark Horse maybe?”

“Yes, one from the Megaverse, now let me see, who, oh, who, should it be?” the voiceover concludes, as Jones takes off his hat to reveal he’s sporting Rogue’s blue mohawk. “If that’s not enough of a clue….” reads the final screen.

Zombieland 2 Set for 2019 Release, Deadpool Writers, Venom Director on Board

Sony Pictures will be bringing Zombieland 2 to theaters in 2019 with the original’s director, writers, and many of its stars, including Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin.

As reported by THR, the sequel will go into production in January of 2019 and will arrive later in the year in October, ten years after 2009’s original Zombieland.

Zombieland director, Ruben Fleischer, returns for the sequel and has most recently been working as director for this fall’s Venom. The two writers for the original film, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, have been writers for Deadpool & Deadpool 2 and teased this announcement a couple months ago.

Modder Fixes Aliens: Colonial Marines’ AI With One, Simple Coding Change

Jamesdickinson963 of ModDB, who has been working on overhauling and improving 2013’s Aliens: Colonial Marines, has discovered a typo in one line of Colonial Marine’s game config file, or .INI, that may be to blame, at least in part, for its lackluster AI.

The error, which was one extra letter, looks like this:

WWE Extreme Rules 2018: Live Match Results And Updates

Are you ready for a WWE PPV that is a bit more violent than the others? Well, it’s time for things to get extreme as Extreme Rules comes to the WWE Network on Sunday, June 17. It will be an evening featuring a few non-traditional wrestling bouts. This includes Iron Man, Steel Cage, Tables, and Extreme Rules matches sprinkled throughout the evening.

This year’s show will take place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. The main card starts at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT with a Kickoff Show starting one hour prior. There will be one match on the Kickoff this go around, and it’s The New Day vs. Sanity in a Tables Match, which should be a ton of fun. You can get a one-month trial subscription of the WWE Network for free. If you don’t like the service, you can cancel after watching Extreme Rules.

Surprisingly, there is only one Extreme Rules match during the evening, and that bout will be for the Raw Women’s Championship between Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss. However, one of the most entertaining matches of the evening should be Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens in a steel cage. Strowman has made Owens’ life rough the past month, and recently, Owens got trapped in a porta potty, which Strowman flipped over. Will Owens try to get revenge or try to escape the cage as quickly as possible? Yvette Nicole Brown Replaces Hardwick as Interim Talking Dead Host

Yvette Nicole Brown is set to become the host of AMC’s Talking Dead and The Walking Dead: Season 9 Preview Special, at least for now.

AMC released a statement that read, “Yvette Nicole Brown will step in as an interim guest host of ‘The Walking Dead Season 9 Preview Special’ on August 5 and ‘Talking Dead’ when it returns following the premiere of ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ on August 12, as we work to complete our assessment related to Chris Hardwick.”

This news follows AMC’s announcement that Brown will also be replacing Hardwick as the panel moderator for The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead at San Diego Comic-Con, taking place next Friday, July 20.
