For people looking for more of an overall review statement, I thought ‘Mania 34 was quite amazing. One of the most entertaining ‘Manias in a while. I have severely mixed feelings about Asuka losing, but I’d much prefer it this way than her losing to Rousey. Or

Carmella, which I wouldn’t put past them. The fact that it was a stellar match, maybe the best of the night, helped a great deal.

But I’m not here to mark out over Asuka though. I’m here to prattle off some feelings about the Undertaker’s big return. Back in the first week of January, I wrote about why I felt Undertaker vs. Cena needed to happen. I needed closure. I wanted to have us all know, ahead of time, that we’d be seeing the Deadman’s final appearance. He couldn’t just lose to Roman and then hang up, or neatly set down, his garb and surprise us with a final bow.

The first look at Mark Miller and Olivier Coipel’s The Magic Order offers a sneak peak at the five mob families of magicians.

Per SyFy, the cover art and some of the pages for the issue tease what the five magical families will be going up against. The series is described as “magic meets the mob,” and follows the five families consisting of sorcerers, magicians and wizards who are sworn to protect our world for generations.

LawBreakers Dev Responds to Pay-to-Win Concerns Around New Battle Royale Game

Update: Boss Key has confirmed to IGN that the Radical Heights Founder’s Pack has been updated to no longer include the $10,000 of cash originally offered. The story has been updated to reflect this.

LawBreakers developer Boss Key Productions has responded to early pay-to-win concerns starting to grow around its newly announced free-to-play battle royale game, Radical Heights.

“All matches start as a blank slate for all players with $0 in their in-game cash wallet,” Boss Key told IGN. “It’s up to players to see if they want to risk grabbing cash from their ‘Offshore Bank’ or just look for weapons and gear can be found naturally in the world like other Battle Royale games.”

Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 Casts a Familiar Character

Warning! SPOILERS follow for Season 1 of Star Trek: Discovery.

There’s a new captain in town for Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 in the form of Inhumans and Hell on Wheels star Anson Mount.

In a report from Variety, the popular CBS All Acess series cast Mount in the role of Captain Pike of the USS Enterprise. In the final moments of the Season 1 finale, the crew of Discovery receives a distress call from Enterprise, showing the two ships together for the first time. In the 2009 JJ Abrams-directed reboot, Star Trek, Pike was played by Bruce Greenwood.

The Simpsons Made Its Apu Problem Even Worse

At nearly 30 years old, The Simpsons has been a pop culture institution for longer than many people reading this have probably been alive. And it goes without saying that the series has courted its fair share of controversy in that time. However, thanks to the most recent episode, “No Good Read Goes Unpunished,” the series has managed to take an already delicate situation and make it even worse. And it’s all thanks to everybody’s favorite Kwik-E Mart owner, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon.

The problem arose as the series finally acknowledged the 2017 documentary The Problem With Apu. That film traces the pop culture impact of the character, noting that while Apu shattered critical barriers when it comes to representing characters of South Asian descent on TV, it arguably did more harm than good. Apu is a character who reinforces negative stereotypes about Indian Americans. The film features interviews with celebrities like Aziz Ansari, Kal Penn and Maulik Pancholy, all of whom relate stories about being bullied and teased by people for whom Apu was their only point of reference for how South Asian people speak and behave.

Everything Sucks! Cast and Fans Campaign Netflix After Cancellation

Netflix has canceled teen comedy Everything Sucks! after just one season, and the show’s cast and fans are not taking the news lightly.

Per Deadline, the streaming giant decided to axe the 1990s-set series, from writers Ben York Jones (Like Crazy) and Michael Mohan (Save the Date), late last week. Since then, fans and cast members, including Peyton Kennedy and Jahi Di’Allo Winston, have been letting Netflix know on social media just how much they want the show to return for another season.

Arrow: Colton Haynes’ Arsenal Will Be a Season 7 Regular

Colton Haynes’ Roy Harper/Arsenal will be a series regular in Arrow: Season 7.

Entertainment Weekly reports Haynes will reprise his role as the vigilante in the new season after returning to the show for a two-episode arc in Season 6. “We’re very fortunate and excited to welcome back Colton to Arrow,” the show’s executive producers said in a statement.

“While we’ve always enjoyed Colton’s returns to the show, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him return as a proper series regular and we’re very excited about all the creative opportunities Roy Harper’s return affords us.”

Black Panther’s T’Challa Doesn’t Understand SNL’s Black Jeopardy

SNL saw the return of Black Jeopardy over the weekend, and the sketch’s usual format got a bit of a welcome shake-up with the king of Wakanda, T’Challa, starring as the third guest alongside Leslie Jones’ Shanice and Chris Redd’s Rashad.

Chadwick Boseman reprised his Black Panther role as a contestant on the show, making for the “blackest Black Jeopardy yet,” and bungled his way through the categories before finally getting a handle on things at the end.

Categories included “Aw Hell Naw,” “Fid’na,” and “White People,” which saw T’Challa finally get the hang of the game.
