A new Resident Evil project called Resident Evil Re:Verse has seemingly leaked ahead of its presumed official announcement during the Resident Evil Showcase later today.
Whatever Capcom has in store, it seems we’ll learn more during the Resident Evil Showcase, which begins on January 21 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. Capcom is promising more news about Resident Evil Village along with further updates on the wider Resident Evil series.
You can watch the event here on GameSpot, and we’ll report back with all the big news as it happens. Capcom already announced that a closed beta for the Resident Evil multiplayer game will take place starting on January 28–here’s how to sign up.
The website mentions that this new Resident Evil game supports 4-6 players, but that’s all the information that’s available at this stage. Capcom has tried Resident Evil multiplayer before, most recently with Resident Evil Resistance.
Resident Evil Village, meanwhile, is slated for release in 2021 on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Japanese gaming publisher Capcom has announced that it expects to make even more money than anticipated for its latest financial year due to the big success of a few key titles.
In a news release, Capcom said it is increasing its forecast for revenue and profit for the financial year ending March 31 due in part to big sales of Resident Evil 3 and ongoing sales of catalog titles like Monster Hunter World.
Capcom said its efforts to grow digital game sales have paid off, and that is also part of the reason why the company is increasing its revenue and profit forecast. On top of that, Capcom said preorders for Monster Hunter Rise for Nintendo Switch are “off to a promising start.” All of these factors, in addition to a presumed boost due to COVID-19, is why Capcom is raising its performance estimates for the financial period.
As you can see in the chart below, Capcom now plans to bring in 92 billion yen for the year in revenue and 21 billion in profit, which compares to the previous forecast of 85 billion yen in revenue and 18 billion yen in profit.
Capcom will officially announce its earnings results for the period on January 28, so check back with GameSpot then to find out if the company reached its increased targets.
Avalanche Studios, the developer of the Just Cause series, was once at work on game that took place in an alternate-history version of the 1950s. A game writer who worked on the project recently revealed the scuttled game, along with what ultimately happened to it.
In an interview with the YouTube channel Wassup Conversations, writer Mikael Saker recalled when Avalanche had to make severe studio cuts to both personnel and projects, including the alternate-history game.
“The publisher cancelled all their games except one, and it was a big publisher,” Saker said. “But had been working on this awesome open-world game set in an alternative reality version of 1950s. It was insane! We had this huge version of London that looked spectacular. We didn’t have skyscrapers, but we had, like inverted heights, so the city grew downwards, to the ground. You could fly ziplines, airships, planes and jump down to these really, really deep holes in the middle of the city. So it was visually, and world-building wise spectacular and it had some really great gameplay ideas.”
Saker went on to say the game was still roughly two years from completion, so it had to be one of the games on the chopping block during the cuts. He didn’t give a specific timeframe for when this project was in the works.
Avalanche is mostly known for the Just Cause series, and released Just Cause 4 in 2018. It also developed a Mad Max licensed game in 2015. More recently it worked with Bethesda Softworks on Rage 2.
An immaculate-looking life-size bust of Thanos is available to purchase, but it is very expensive and it’s missing one of the villain’s arms.
Queen Studios is now selling the limited-edition collectible, which features a half-body Thanos bust (the top half) based on his look from Avengers: Endgame as he wields the Infinity Gauntlet.
“Painstakingly sculpted, this movie-accurate polystone bust features the genocidal warlord wearing his battle scarred armour and helmet,” reads a line from the description (via SlashFilm). “With his fist clenched and Gauntlet in hand, he stares forward menacingly. The beast of a bust is perfect for Avengers fans and collectors with the space for one of Marvel’s most iconic villain.”
The Infinity Stones on the gauntlet itself have internal lighting so they shine brightly and prominently. The base for the bust is inspired by Thanos’ space vessel, the Q-Ship. The full bust measures 108cm (L) x 122cm (W) x 113cm (H).
Thanos’ right arm is missing from the bust, which appears to be an intentional choice to specifically highlight the Infinity Gauntlet.
And now the kicker: The bust carries a premium price tag of $6450 + shipping. Alternatively, you can pay $1800 for a deposit and send the remaining $4650 + shipping later.
The bust is not available in the US, it seems, at least for the time being. You can learn more about this epic collector’s item here on the Queen Studios website.

The second mission in Hitman 3 sends you to a huge English mansion that’s straight out of an Agatha Christie novel. That’s not an exaggeration; the enormous estate is also the setting of a murder mystery that’s playing out at the same time as your assassination mission to eliminate Alexa Carlisle.
There are many paths through the mansion to complete your objective and eliminate Alexa Carlisle. You can even find a way to solve the murder mystery in the mansion and use your findings to manipulate the situation. To do that, though, you’ll need to uncover some of the mansion’s secrets, including a series of hidden rooms that can allow you to get into and out of certain specific areas unseen.
Finding your way into those hidden rooms is essential to mastering Dartmoor and to completing the murder mystery. But some hidden rooms are easier to find than others. Here’s a quick rundown of how to get into all the hidden rooms in Dartmoor and what tools you’ll need to access them.
We’ve got lots more Hitman 3 coverage to help you through every aspect of the game–just check out our Hitman 3 guide hub for a full rundown. You might also want to read our Hitman 3 review.
Hitman 3 Dartmoor Secret Room Locations
Secret Books And Switches Behind Paintings
Most of the secret rooms are fairly obvious if you make use of Agent 47’s Instinct vision. You can note their locations on your map and track them down by interacting with objects that are highlighted in yellow, like books or paintings. You’ll find a hidden room in Zachary’s bedroom that you can access with a book on his shelf, and another in Rebecca’s bedroom that opens when you turn a painting. There’s also a switch to return to the secret room off Rebecca’s room from the lawyer’s small room–look for the switch on the bookcase.
How To Use Mysterious Switches
There are three mysterious switches hidden throughout Thornbridge Manor, and you’ll need a specific item to use them.
In certain locations in Dartmoor, you’ll find small interactive objects set into the floor of the mansion. You’ll see these in Instinct vision, but you won’t be able to interact with them unless you have the right tool.
That tool is the English bulldog walking cane. The cane has no other real use (except smacking people in the head to pacify them), but if you take it to the floor switches, it can open up hidden doors to access secret rooms.
You’ll find the cane in the bedroom of Emma and Gregory Carlisle. Be careful using it, though–if you drop it or pick it up in the view of other characters, they’ll become suspicious. Holding it is okay, though, for some reason. You can find the switches on the second floor of the library, and on the third floor, in the hallway outside of Alexa Carlisle’s Office. You can also access the small office from the hallway using a switch.
Jurassic World reignited interest in dinosaur danger in 2015 enough that it turned into a second trilogy. Netflix animated spinoff Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous began as a look at what else was happening during the events of Jurassic World. When Camp Cretaceous Season 2 hits Netflix this week, though, Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Trevorrow says the animated series will help set the stage for his big finale, Jurassic World: Dominion.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous focuses on a group of kids who, like everyone else who visits a dinosaur park, end up stranded among giant carnivorous dinosaurs and have to fend for themselves to survive. Where Season 1 focused on survival, Season 2 sees the kids “take control of their own survival.” The first season released in October 2020, and the second arrives this week, on January 22.
“It’s important to me, out of respect for the writers who are continuing to expand and create, to recognize [Camp Cretaceous] as clearly its own story and its own show,” said Colin Trevorrow, who directed both Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Dominion and executive produces Camp Cretaceous, in an interview with EW. “But this season–and if we’re granted further opportunities to tell the story that we have [in Season 3]–will keep weaving into the larger story and really inform some things, even in Dominion that will connect to discoveries made that I’m really excited about.”
Trevorrow said that Jurassic World: Dominion, which is currently set to hit US theaters on June 10, 2022, will act as “a culmination of one story that’s been told.” That includes the Jurassic Park trilogy, which he describes as episodic in nature, and the Jurassic World trilogy, which is intentionally serialized. It also acts as a celebration of the series thanks to the presence of both original cast members Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum, alongside Jurassic World actors Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.
“If kids who are born today are going to be presented with six Jurassic Park movies–you hope parents will buy them the box set–you hope they are going to feel like they watch one long story,” Trevorrow said.

A fan-created LEGO set featuring characters from the Metroid franchise received another milestone update today as Ridley has now been added to the project. It features fully articulating arms, legs, a tail, and head, and can even grab minifigures in its hands.
First featured in 1994’s Super Metroid, Ridley has been one of bounty hunter Samus Aran’s longtime arch nemeses throughout the series, appearing in many subsequent games and even becoming a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate after being one of the most-requested characters for years. But this LEGO creation might be one of Ridley’s coolest iterations yet.
The project by user L-DI-EGO actually began in May 2020, but has received a steady stream of updates as more supporters have backed the project, including multiple helmet styles for Samus, space pirate variants, and an alternate Hunter-class gunship variant seen in the Metroid Prime series.
LEGO Ideas is a website where master builders can submit their ideas and if 10,000 people support the project it will be reviewed by a panel of LEGO experts and potentially be made into a real set. At any given time there can be hundreds of pop culture-inspired submissions that fans have created.

There’s a lot going on in Dartmoor, the second mission of Hitman 3. As usual, your job as Agent 47 is to sneak into a location–this time, a huge English mansion–and assassinate a target. But when you arrive at the mansion in Dartmoor, you discover that another murder has already taken place. You even get a chance to solve it if you steal the clothes of a certain private investigator, which opens up a few special opportunities to get close to your target.
Solving the mystery requires you to do some actual detective work, though. You have to track down clues, interview suspects, and verify alibis. The clues themselves can be a little tricky, as they include a combination of items you pick up and items you scan with your camera. Finding all the clues gives you three different options you can present when you finally share your findings with the mansion’s owner, giving you chances to manipulate the situation.
Here’s the location of every clue in the Dartmoor mansion and how to find it. Note that clues you need to scan with your camera can be tough to find, since they’re not highlighted in Instinct vision and are only highlighted through the camera viewfinder when you’re very close to them. Use the Camera icons on the map and minimap to track these down.
You’ll find a bunch of clues in Zachary’s room; keep an eye out for Camera icons on your minimap for items you need to scan.
The first location you’ll enter is the murder scene. There are a lot of clues here, but they’re also probably the easiest ones to find, and you can’t really advance until you’ve locked them all down.
Zachary Carlisle’s Body (Camera Scan)
Nightstand Whiskey Bottle (Camera Scan) — right side of the bed when standing at the foot.
Zachary’s laptop — near the window to the left of Zachary’s bed
Suicide Note — on the table under a window to the left of Zachary’s bed
Hidden Room — pull the interactive book on the bookshelf on the wall, to the right of Zachary’s bed
Mansion floor plan — inside the hidden room near the two-way mirror
Emma And Gregory’s Room (Four Clues)
Emma and Gregory’s room includes four clues, one of which is the bulldog cane you’ll need to access some hidden rooms.
The second bedroom you need to search can help break the case wide open. If you don’t have the key, access it by climbing out the window in the nearby bathroom and using the ledge outside to make a path to the balcony.
Bulldog cane — beside the fireplace, right next to the door (take this item with you, as you’ll need it later)
Greenhouse keychain — right next to the folding screen beside the fireplace, on the side closest to the bed
Muddy Shoes (Camera Scan) — to the left of the fireplace
Letter from Emma’s Mother — on the nightstand on the right side of the bed
Rachel’s Room (Two Clues)
You can also enter Rebecca’s room by climbing out a nearby window, if you don’t get the key off Rebecca herself. There’s also a hidden passage off Rebecca’s room you can access by interacting with a painting on the wall.
Laptop — on the table in the center of the room
Documents (Camera Scan) — near the fireplace
Trophy Room (One Clue)
Documents (Camera Scan)
Library Second Floor Hidden Room (One Clue)
Use the bulldog cane on these mysterious switches to get into secret rooms and find more clues.
Open this hidden room by using the bulldog cane you got from Emma and Gregory’s room on the floor switch. It’s in the corner near the hallway where the maid flirts with a bodyguard.
Montgomery’s Long-Lost Letter
Sitting Room (One Clue)
Montgomery Carlisle Portrait (Camera Scan) — in the northeast corner of the room, hanging on the wall
Terrace Outside Sitting Room (One Clue)
The footprints on the terrace stairs are an easy clue to miss.
Muddy Footprints (Camera Scan)
Dining Room (One Clue)
Speech (Camera Scan) — on the dining room table, toward the center
Fernsby’s Office (Three Clues)
Fernsby’s List — on the desk
Zachary’s Half-Burned Diary — in the fireplace
Mr. Fernsby’s Pills — on the windowsill
Greenhouse (Two Clues)
You’ll probably need a crowbar to get into the Greenhouse, so keep that in mind when you approach the area. Alternatively, after you question Emma Carlisle, she’ll make her way out to the Greenhouse, so you can often use her to unlock the door and get yourself in.
Broken Lab Equipment
Poison Dosage Table (Camera Scan) — on the table beside the lab equipment
Murder Mystery Alibis
Interview each of the suspects to learn more about the family. You’ll need to verify their alibis by finding more clues and talking to more people.
In addition to gathering clues from various places around the mansion, you’ll also need to interview all of the potential suspects and witnesses and establish their alibis. You can find the family in various places–Rebecca in the Trophy Room, Emma and Gregory in the Sitting Room, Edward in the Dining Room, and Patrick in the Library. In several cases, you’ll need to then find a way to verify their alibis.
Rebecca’s Alibi — Check the laptop in her bedroom to verify her whereabouts
Gregory and Edward’s Alibis — Interview both brothers to verify that they were together at a local pub
Patrick’s Alibi — After interviewing Patrick, head to the Staff Room near Fernsby’s Office and speak with the crying maid, Rosie
With every clue discovered, you’ll have multiple options about how to complete the murder mystery in Dartmoor, as well as other options for manipulating your assassination target into position. You can read up on the solutions and their effects in our Hitman 3 murder mystery solutions guide. Finding every clue nets you the Cleaning House Challenge, as well.
