Amazon has announced that Prime Day 2020 will take place October 13-14. That’s a few months later than usual, but these are nothing if not unusual times. A vast array of products Amazon sells will be on sale during the event, including gaming chairs. So if your current desk chair could use an upgrade–and specifically an upgrade to a racing-style gaming chair–you’ll want to be on the lookout for any killer deals that crop up. Luckily for you, we have a whole article on that, and you’re looking at it now.
So bookmark this page now and come back during the sale to find all the best gaming chairs for your needs. And if you’re interested in discounts on anything else, also be sure to check out our mega-list Amazon Prime Day 2020 article, which will transform into a collection of the best deals available when the discounts go live.
In the meantime, here’s some info you may find useful.
Prime Day Deals Live Now
Amazon isn’t waiting until mid-October to put up all the deals. Already you can save on a handful of items, assuming you’re a Prime member.
Speaking of, since it’s Prime Day, you do actually have to be a Prime member to take advantage of the savings event.
Thankfully, you have a number of options for how to subscribe. For starters, if you’ve never done a free trial before, you can get one for a month at no cost. It even lets you participate in Prime Day, regardless of whether you cancel before paying a dime.
For those who have used their free trial before, you can get a one-month membership for $12.99 or a one-subscription for $119.
Last Year’s Prime Day Gaming Chair Deals
One of the best ways to figure out what kinds of deals to expect from this year’s Prime Day is to see what the online retailer did last year. Last year, a number of gaming chairs went on sale during the big day(s), including chairs from Homall, Respawn, and OFM. The discounts tended to be on the more affordable chairs, but they were good enough that they brought chairs that retail for $200 down to $100. Not bad
It’s also worth noting that Amazon wasn’t the only retailer to offer gaming chair discounts. We also saw discounts at Best Buy and Walmart. We’ll be keeping an eye on all of the retailers this Prime Day, and we’ll park all the best gaming chair deals right here. So come back on October 13 for the goods.

Season 6 of Call of Duty starts today at 11 PM PT and this latest update is jam-packed with new features. A new trailer teased what’s to come, but for those eager to know it all, here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming to Modern Warfare and Warzone.
Story
To set the scene for Season 6, recently dispatched Nikolai and Farah discover a huge secret about Al Qatala’s operations in the city of Verdansk: They use the empty subway tunnels to travel unnoticed. By recommissioning the trains, Armistice is put back on track towards freedom from this dangerous international syndicate. These tunnels are key narratively and mechanically, as they facilitate this season’s new fast travel system in Warzone.
Fast Travel
The Metro is your new way to speed around Verdansk in Season 6. It combines pre-existing points of interest with new stations, so players will now have a high-risk, high-reward option while navigating the city.
Traveling between stations happens in seconds, and players will be able to explore the stations before they board giving opportunities to find item spawns on the way to the platforms. The cars themselves have a retro look, but follow modern safety protocols; they won’t take you outside the safe area during battle royale matches and they cease to function if there’s conflict onboard. Fighting on the train is strictly a no no.
That said, fighting in and around the stations is totally fair game.
New Warzone Mode and Weapon Rotation
Armored Royale is the new Warzone mode coming in Season 6. It’s a battle royale variant that gives each squad an armored cargo truck, complete with turret, that doubles as your respawn point. As long as the truck is intact, you and your squadmates can return to the fight. But once it’s gone you can’t come back from a killshot. The last squad standing is the winner, regardless of the state of their truck.
Verdansk also has a new shipment of weaponry scattered across the map, giving players access to a new weapon rotation this season. You’ll be able to find these weapons on the ground or in supply boxes, and there will be a combination of familiar tools and new armaments to try out. Season 6 will offer up six common, ten uncommon, 13 rare, 18 epic, and 24 legendary variants.
Modern Warfare Maps
The full version of Modern Warfare is getting four new multiplayer maps, one of each size.
Station is a rural train station in Kastovia and serves as the latest gunfight arena. It has a relatively simple design, but provides opportunities to find jump spots and varying tactical angles. This map embraces verticality by allowing you to climb every boxcar and passenger car, though these areas are more exposed. If you stick to the ground, there will be more cover in the way of crates and even tank parts.
Broadcast is a map franchise long-timers will recognize. It debuted in 2007, and is making its return for season six. As the name implies, Broadcast is an abandoned communications center that you’ll infiltrate in 6v6. It features plenty of tight corridors and even some limited verticality of its own.
Mialstor Tank Factory can be played in both 6v6 and 10v 10 modes, and its playable dimensions change depending on the lobby size. Either size will feature both indoor and outdoor combat as the focus of the map is the tank factory and adjoining warehouse which have accessible rooftops. Still, there are other buildings your squad will be able to explore including a workshop, a skybridge, a residential zone, a scrap yard, and a shipping area. Some of these will be sectioned off in 6v6.
Verdansk Riverside is a previously unlabeled map location that’s actually a suburban area located across the Gora River from the Verdansk International Airport. As you’d expect from a suburb, this map largely consists of two-story homes and buildings you’d find in a strip mall like a pharmacy and a chain restaurant. There’s also a small construction project of some kind that doesn’t seem to have an end date. This is a Ground War map, and will focus heavily on vehicles to navigate in and around the neighborhood.
Modern Warfare Modes
Killstreak Confirmed is the new Kill Confirmed variant to shake up killstreaks in multiple ways. You can only rack up killstreaks by getting enemy dog tags, but your streak won’t reset if you die, so you’re going to want to keep hustling for those tags. This mode will also allow you to “wrap” killstreaks so you can earn the same one multiple times in one life. Whichever team collects the target number of dog tags despite killstreaks wins.
Get ready for the random weapon assortment of Gun Game to come to Team Deathmatch in Gun Game TDM. You get to choose your loadout for perks and equipment, but you’ll have to be prepared to use whatever you’re dealt once the match starts. Each kill with a given weapon cycles you through a predetermined list of weaponry. First team to the target kill count wins.
Headquarters is getting a new spin with HQ: Firefight. This mode gives a team score for both holding the objective and getting kills. After a team captures an HQ, respawns are disabled until the enemy team neutralizes it. The team that gets to the target score first wins.
Hardpoint: Hills and Kills is similar to HQ: Firefight; it gives a team score for holding hills and earnings kills. First team to the target score wins.
There are also nine trials this season to spend your trial tickets on, alongside additional side missions and challenges where you can earn blueprints and items.
Battle Pass
This season’s battle pass comes with 20 tiers of free content for all Warzone and Modern Warfare players. Just by playing, you can earn a few blueprints, cosmetics, and some Call of Duty Points. The free tiers also provide opportunities to unlock multiple new war tracks to play while driving. Some of these war tracks come from outside the CoD universe, including DMX’s “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem.”
There are two new weapons that can be unlocked in the free tiers: the SP-R208 marksman rifle (Tier 15) and the AS-VAL assault rifle (Tier 31). The SP-R208 is a bolt-action rifle that’s one of the most accurate in its class. The AS-VAL is an assault rifle built for stealth and accuracy.
If you purchase the battle pass, all 100 tiers open up and you’ll get access to unlocking a variety of goodies. Farah and Nikolai are both unlockable operators, and the paid pass includes perks like double XP and weapons tokens, weapon charms, watches, stickers, emblems, and calling cards. The paid version of the battle pass also includes skins for operators and vehicles, additional weapon blueprints, and a new finishing move that features a pet bat named Edward presumably eating the faces of your enemies. Players can also look forward to some seasonal Halloween content coming to the store soon, and the Halloween event The Haunting of Verdansk will kick off October 20.
Season Six Download Sizes

PlayStation 4: 19.3 GB

With the brand new announcement that we’ll be seeing Amazon Prime Day return in 2020, it’s time to speculate what sort of deals we will be seeing once the retailer giant’s event actually rolls into town for 48 hours. This might not actually be too difficult this time around, as we are already seeing a few early Prime Day deals popping up from none other than Amazon itself. One of the best early Prime Day offers is definitely on the Echo Dot 3rd Gen, where you can get two of the smart speakers for just $39.98.
From 4K TVs for your new next-gen PS5 or Xbox Series X to the latest smart home devices from Google, Amazon, Philips, and more. Amazon Prime Day is set to have some of the best electronics deals of the year, so try not to miss out. Stay tuned for more updates, and follow @IGNDeals on twitter for instant deal alerts.
With the launch of the new Echo Dot and other Amazon family of devices, you can expect to see a few more deals on the older generation of stock as they continue to sell as much of that as possible while the tech doesn’t seem too old.
Not only that, but there is also the ‘Spend $10, Get $10‘ promotion to consider in the build-up to the event. We’ve marked these particular items above to let you know, but the gist of the deal is when you buy from a smaller or independent retailer via Amazon, you’ll be rewarded for helping the little guy. That means you’ll be gifted a $10 credit to spend during the Prime Day sales on October 13 and 14.
2020 is primed and ready to give us some good deals. We’ve got Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday, and then the Christmas sales. Surely, there will be some good deals to come? Well, we certainly hope so. If you want to find out more, make sure to check out what to expect from Amazon Prime Day 2020 right here on IGN.
We’re currently predicting that 4K TV deals are going to be one of the hottest tech items up for grabs again come October 13, with big discounts heading towards some top of the line OLED TVs. It’ll be the big purchases that you see the most discounts on because $400-600 4K TVs have already been produced to be rather cheap. However, you may still see a few receive so minor discounts, so keep an eye out.
Smart home devices are also expected to be big once again, just like every other year. Amazon year on year sells more and more Echo smart speakers, and linking these up with all your new smart tech is definitely the go-to thing to do during big sales. But, you can also expect more deals for other electronic items around the home, including new household tech like vacuums, microwaves, kettles, rice-cookers, insta-pots, and much more.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Prime Day is a massive shopping event put on by the online retailer Amazon, specifically curated for the use of Amazon Prime members. Prime is a premium membership system where users can get access to a wide range of benefits, such as next day delivery, Prime Video, and even several exclusive deals throughout the year, including every single deal that pops up during Prime Day. Prime Day usually situates itself in the Summer, normally July, but with everything that’s been going on in the world, it now finds itself firmly in October instead.
Prime Day is set to start at 00:01 AM on October 13 and ends at 23:59 on October 14, so you’ve got two full days of deals to race through when it finally launches. But, we’re here to help with everything Prime Day and will be covering all the new and exciting deals that we are expecting to pop up.
If you’re not already a member, now is the time to sign up and take full advantage of the event. A 30-day free trial won’t cost you a thing, and you’ll be getting access to all of the best electronic, gaming, and tech deals available during the two-day event for 2020. If you’re a seasoned Amazon shopper, then the 1-year membership offers the best long-term value. The $119/yr fee is well worth the many perks of Amazon Prime.
We’ll be covering all the best video game and tech deals right here on IGN, so stay tuned for more updates, and follow @IGNUKDeals for instant deal updates throughout the event.
For now, however, there is a new promotion called ‘Spend £10, Get £10’ where Amazon will offer a £10 credit to use on #PrimeDay to Prime members who spend £10 on items sold by select UK small businesses in Amazon’s store. You can find all of the current Amazon Support Small deals on it’s dedicated landing page.
There aren’t any specific electronic deals popping up just yet, like the US, but you can get some great deals on subscriptions for your electronics, the most notable being 4-months of Amazon Music Unlimited for just £0.99. This is an exclusive Prime deal, but non-Prime members can also pick up 3-months for just £0.99 so it’s not all bad.
Ubisoft took to Twitter to announce that the AC Sisterhood crest will now be available as an in-game tattoo in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Designed by Sebastian Dell’Aria, the tattoo is inspired by Amunet, a female character from Assassin’s Creed Origins. Game director Benoit Richer hinted that players could find the tattoo “hidden under one of the 3 major cities in England.”
Today, we’re happy to reveal that the #ACSisterhood crest will be available as a tattoo in #AssassinsCreed Valhalla! This collaboration between our community and development team brings a momentous community effort into our game. So grateful to all those who made this possible! pic.twitter.com/UibnFUwev5
AC Sisterhood is a community-led initiative by Assassin’s Creed fans and was created in response and in the context of Ubisoft’s highly publicized “frat house culture.” Many former employees have alleged that the company is rife with misogyny and incidences of sexual harassment. Ubisoft has also been criticized for creating games with sexist mindsets, such as adding Kassandra’s brother Alexios as a playable character in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey when a male-dominated editorial team said that a female protagonist wouldn’t sell. According to a report, Kassandra was originally supposed to be the only playable character in the game.
AC Sisterhood is an offshoot of The Mentor’s Guild and according to a statement written by group member Kulpreet Virdi, was formed in order to “highlight, appreciate and support the women (including those who identify as women) in the Assassin’s Creed Universe, the community and development teams, creating a safe space for women” and to “help to push for meaningful change by way of better representation for women in Assassin’s Creed games and for better treatment of women within the company.”
In the statement, the group also explicitly debunked false claims made about AC Sisterhood on social media. They emphasized that they are not directly attacking male Assassin’s Creed players or characters, and that this is a movement for not just for women, but everyone who shares the community’s goals. AC Sisterhood has also stated that their goals do not include boycotting Ubisoft and “are hoping that this movement highlights the need for internal change so that women in the company can shine.”
AC Sisterhood has set up a Discord and started a podcast series. Their first episode was released on September 27 and features voice actors Alix Wilton Regan (Aya/Amunet) and Zora Bishop (Cleopatra) from Assassin’s Creed Origins.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases on November 10, 2020 (November 12 for the PS5 version). It will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.

Chadwick Boseman died suddenly on August 28, and while the actor has long since been synonymous with his turn as Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, stories continue to come out about the man’s real-life acts of heroism and generosity. UK magazine Empire‘s new September issue is a tribute dedicated to Boseman, and an interview with Sienna Miller (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Foxcatcher), Bosewick’s co-star in the 2019 action-thriller 21 Bridges, is bursting with anecdotes about his efforts to boost her presence and salary for last year’s movie.
“He produced 21 Bridges, and had been really active in trying to get me to do it,” Miller said. “He was a fan of my work, which was thrilling, because it was reciprocated from me to him, tenfold. So he approached me to do it, he offered me this film, and it was at a time whenI really didn’t want to work anymore. I’d been working non-stop and I was exhausted, but then I wanted to work with him.”
Beyond that, Miller says, Boseman saw to it personally–in many selfless ways–that the project would be worth her time financially. “I asked for a number that the studio wouldn’t get to… Chadwick ended up donating some of his salary to get me to the number that I had asked for. He said that was what I deserved to be paid.”
Miller added that although there is a wide public awareness of the gender-pay disparity in Hollywood, Boseman’s efforts were “unfathomable.”
Although a Black Panther sequel was expected prior to Boseman’s surprising death from colon cancer–the actor had kept his condition private after being diagnosed in 2016–the franchise’s future currently remains uncertain. Speaking with Variety back in 2018, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was enthusiastic about how the film franchise still had “many, many stories to tell” and he hoped director Ryan Coogler will come back to shepherd them. Before Boseman’s death, filming on the first Black Panther sequel was expected to begin in March 2021, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Disney is currently still trying to figure out how to proceed with the franchise.
Amazon has finally pulled back the curtain on Prime Day 2020. Prime Day will be a two-day event this year, taking place October 13 – 14. That’s three months past its usual spot smack dab in the middle of the summer, but if the deals are sweet, I vote to allow it. If you’re in the market for a new desktop or laptop PC or Mac, you’ll likely find a number of excellent deals come Prime Day 2020. Additionally, you’ll almost certainly see major discounts on computer accessories, including mice, keyboards, monitors, headsets, and gaming chairs.
It’s also important to note that Amazon won’t likely be alone in its offerings during the two-day event. Other retailers like Walmart, Dell, Best Buy, and others will almost certainly follow Amazon’s lead and offer competing sales of their own, with discounts on PCs, laptops, and accessories. They don’t want all of your spending dollars to go to Amazon, after all.
And if you’re interested in sale items other than PCs and accessories, check out our full article on what to expect from Amazon Prime Day 2020. Here’s what you can expect to find deal-wise on computers during Prime Day 2020.
The key thing to know about Prime Day 2020 is that you’ll need a Prime membership to take advantage of the deals. Thankfully, you have a number of options for how to subscribe. For starters, if you’ve never used a free trial, you can get one for a month at no cost. It even lets you participate in Prime Day, regardless of whether you cancel before paying a dime. Otherwise, you can get a one-month membership for $12.99 or a one-subscription for $119.
In addition to getting to participate in the Prime Day deal madness, Prime members get free one- or two-day shipping on most products, plus access to Prime Videos, Prime Music, and a host of other features.
Early Prime Day Deals
Even though the sale hasn’t started yet, Amazon has already started seeding the ground with a handful of deals. Here’s what’s available now.
Last year during Prime Day, a number of appealing PCs, gaming PCs, and gaming laptops went on sale for appealing prices. On the desktop PC front, we saw big discounts on pre-built CYBERPOWERPC towers. On the laptop side of the equation, we saw big savings on the Acer Predator Helios 300 ($500 off) and MSI GS75 Stealth ($600 off). Many MacBook Pro models were also discounted somewhere in the $200 range.
Beyond that, Respawn gaming chairs got big temporary price cuts, bringing the 110 model down to the $100 range, which is about 50% off. There were also plenty of discounts on other accessories, like external hard drives, HyperX Cloud II gaming headsets, Razer gaming mice, as well as Netgear modems and routers.

Since its inception in January 2019, All Elite Wrestling has become a dominant force in professional wrestling. Between successful PPVs and a weekly TV series on TNT, AEW has a foothold in the industry, and more is on the way. Aside from the recently released Jazwares action figures, an AEW video game is in the works.
While the prospect of an AEW video game has never been a secret, one of the promotion’s executive vice presidents, Kenny Omega has some new information about it. “The status of the video game is that it is currently in development,” Omega told GameSpot. “I can’t say too much more other than I am working very closely creatively with a team. And every few weeks, they have very exciting new things to show us. And I believe that we’re on the right track because I think we have a good team backing us with a lot of very, very good hands that are very capable. And when I can more, I certainly will. And I’m really excited to show the first little bit of footage that we have.
“So it’s a little ways away. We’re not going to be competing head to head against WWE Battlegrounds anytime soon. But when the game is ready, and when it will release, I think it has a very good chance of standing alone is probably the best wrestling product as a video game that you could probably find on the market. That’s the hope anyway.”
Currently, Omega and the rest of the company is celebrating another major milestone for AEW–the first wave of AEW Unrivaled action figures produced by Jazwares. Available exclusively in Walmart stores, the first line includes figures of Chris Jericho, Cody, Brandi Rhodes, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). There is also an AEW Championship Title Belt, a special edition Chris Jericho packaged in a champagne bottle, and an AEW ring with an exclusive Omega figure. The latter two products are available exclusively from Ringside Collectibles.
“It was really cool,” Omega said regarding seeing himself as an action figure for the first time. “It was sort of just like another benchmark for us to hit as a company. We never knew while we were discussing the potential of running our own company, where that end goal was and just how far we could go with it. And to get our first TV deal, that was huge, and to run pay-per-view, that was large. Suddenly, we’re doing these 3D scans. And now we have these–I’m holding this prototype of an action figure of me. And there are things that just keep happening to us as professional wrestlers that legitimize us as a company and as a real brand. So it was very cool. Very neat. And it’s kind of a double whammy for me because I had two action figures. In the end, I had, you know, the single figure, and then they had a special variant for the actual ring. Two reasons to be really excited at that point.”
You can find AEW Unrivaled figures at Walmart today and Wave 2 of the series will be arriving this October. Additionally, you can see Omega on AEW Dynamite on TNT which airs Wednesdays at 8 PM/7 CT.
For more on Kenny Omega, make sure to tune into the October 1 episode of GameSpot’s wrestling podcast Wrestle Buddies where Omega will discuss a video game rematch against The New Day, who he thinks is an up and comer in AEW, and wrestling blow-up dolls.
With Season 6 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone kicking off on September 29, publisher Activision has shared an overview trailer that provides a brief glimpse at the new subway station. This underground train will travel throughout Verdansk’s large map, with various scheduled stops for players to engage in skirmishes or take in the views at a much faster pace.
The trailer takes us through the various locations the subway station will stop at as it makes its way across Verdansk. This includes the train station itself, a downtown district, and the Verdansk airport. There are eight stops in total, all of which seem to support a variety of gameplay styles. The trailer also highlights what appears to be a series of new maps coming to both Modern Warfare and Warzone, such as a tank factory, broadcast station, Verdansk’s riverside, and others.
The trailer also teases an apparent “haunting” coming to Call of Duty on October 20. There’s nothing else to this teaser, but it’s a Halloween-themed event in either Modern Warfare or Warzone. Activision confirmed a reveal of the still-unannounced Zombies mode is scheduled to take place on September 30.
Season 6 seems to be a massive update to Modern Warfare and Warzone, with Activision mandating at least 20GB of hard drive space to pre-load the update on PlayStation 4. The new season of content adds Farah Karim and Nikolai, the two main characters from Modern Warfare’s campaign.
The new season of Modern Warfare and Warzone arrives just two months before the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops Cold War, launches. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War drops on November 13 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/Series X. A beta for the game is scheduled to take place early next month and though beta progress may not carry over, there is cross-progression and cross-save support between current- and next-gen hardware.
