Square Enix Is Hiring For More Kingdom Hearts Staff

Square Enix Osaka is hiring new staff to work on “HD development” for the Kingdom Hearts series.

Square’s Osaka studio has posted a few job listings requesting UI designers, effect designers, and technical artists. The roles are for work on “HD development of the Kingdom Hearts series”, with no further context provided.

The last Kingdom Hearts game was this year’s Kingdom Hearts 3, and no further projects have been announced beyond the Re:Mind expansion due out this winter. “HD development” could simply mean ‘development’ – the games are now in HD after all – but with Square’s history of HD remasters there’s always potential there. Quite what they’d be remastering would be another question, though, as much of the Kingdom Hearts back catalogue is already available for current-gen platforms in HD.

New Star Wars Toys Give Better Look At Mandalorian And Episode 9 Characters

The Mandalorian hits Disney+ on November 12 and Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker comes to theaters on December 20. And both of these new Star Wars releases have plenty of new characters we’re going to want to learn more about. Luckily, over the course of the October 26 weekend, Hasbro revealed some upcoming Spring 2020 products featuring new characters from the upcoming movie and TV show.

At both Paris Comic Con and MCM London Comic Con, Hasbro unveiled a slew of new toys for the upcoming season, primarily revolving around the upcoming film and movie. Check out a few of the highlighted selections below.

First is The Mandalorian. This is from the 3.75 inch vintage collections. He comes with his blaster rifle and cape. Pricing for this specific figure was not listed, but the Mandalorian Cara Dune figure (the last image above), retails for $14. The other two big reveals from The Rise of Skywalker were from Hasbro’s The Black Series, and these are 6 inch scale figures retailing for $22. Both a Knight of Ren and Zorri Bliss were revealed during the past weekend. Each figure comes with multiple accessories.

The Rise of Skywalker will wrap up the Skywalker saga and the current trilogy of Star Wars movies, and it’s already making news as it has a very long runtime. The Mandalorian TV series is one of the many original programs coming to Disney+ when it launches next month. Currently, an Obi-Wan series is also in the works featuring Ewan McGregor returning to the role of the Jedi Master, which he portrayed in the prequel films in the late ’90s/early ’00s.

All of these items will be available Spring 2020.

The Grudge Trailer Breakdown: All the Easter Eggs You May Have Missed

The new trailer for the Grudge has tons of references to the other movies in the franchise, and there’s a surprising reason for that! So let’s break down this accursed thing to explain why.

Now, this trailer starts with a character making a familiar mistake – walking into a super-cursed house! John Cho’s character Peter Spencer goes up and finds the bathtub a little more chokey than was expecting. If that’s ringing some bells from The Grudge ‘04, there’s a good reason for that. Here’s the full trailer for The Grudge again if you haven’t seen it:

In an interview with IGN, this Grudge’s director Nicolas Pesce told us quote: “With this movie,

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Guide: Boilerworks Walkthrough

This portion of the Luigi’s Mansion 3 guide covers the Boilerworks Walkthrough and all the Boilerworks gems (note: not all of these can be collected on the first run so you’ll have to come back regardless). Here, you’ll find step-by-step solutions to all the sewer puzzles plus tips and tricks for how to beat the mechanic boss while on the duck floaty.

The Boilerworks floor requires Gooigi and Luigi almost evenly. This is something to keep in mind if you’re co-oping the campaign alongside another player. The majority of the level requires you to get good at navigating the waters on a duck floaty but move with caution, one pop and it’s instant death.

This portion of the Luigi’s Mansion 3 guide includes a complete Hotel Shops walkthrough. It begins with a tutorial on how to use Gooigi, who will play a big role in this level. If you’re playing co-op, this is one of the rare moments where you’ll want the more experienced player to play as Gooigi.

Below are the walkthrough sections and objectives. Please note we may have added a few objectives ourselves to indicate the steps you need to take to complete the main objective. Objectives that don’t directly appear on your menu are italicized.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Guide: How to Get Rank S

This portion of the Luigi’s Mansion 3 guide explains how to get s-rank at the end of the game. Like every other Luigi’s Mansion game, you’re given a grade at the end. In Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon you were graded on each level. But Luigi’s Mansion 3 works similarly to the first Luigi’s Mansion game. You’re not graded until the very end. While these results haven’t been thoroughly tested yet, here’s what we know so far.

Rank S: TBD

Rank A: TBD

Rank B: $62,000 — confirmed amount but the range is still unknown

Rank C: Under $30,000 — confirmed amount but the range is still unknown

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Review

I’m looking forward to the new Ghostbusters movie coming in 2020, but I’ll be surprised if it’s as much fun as Luigi’s Mansion 3. The anxiety-riddled brother straps the vacuum pack back on for the first time since 2013’s Dark Moon for 3DS and headlines one of the funniest and most charming Nintendo games on the Switch yet.

Setting aside the nitpicking fact that Luigi and his friends are checking in at a hotel this time rather than an actual mansion, Luigi’s Mansion 3 had me smiling and laughing at its adorable sense of humor right off the bat. From Mario and Luigi’s goofy half-English, half-gibberish conversations to communicating with ghost-sucking vacuum backpack inventor Professor E. Gadd through a Virtual Boy (complete with a red-tinted interface and a joke about how “it’ll sell millions”), among other examples, Luigi’s latest adventure is downright funny.
