Brandon Routh Says Goodbye to Legends of Tomorrow

Brandon Routh posted a goodbye message to Legends of Tomorrow on his Instagram page on the actor’s final day of filming.

It was announced in August that Routh and co-star Courtney Ford will be leaving the show and that they would film their last episode in October. It seems that day has come; Routh is bittersweet as he posts pictures of himself in costume, a room of costumes, a cake and some fan art.

Hear Routh talk about his return as Superman for the Arrowverse TV franchise.

“My final day of filming with my #LegendsFamily. I love you all & appreciate the 5 seasons we’ve spent together,” Routh began. “It hasn’t always been easy, but I think that’s what makes it harder to leave—getting through the growing pains of the first few seasons has bonded us. And made the last three seasons a blast! I’ve never been at a job this long, so this is new for me. I think I will miss you all and the fun we’ve had making this silly show on the #Waverider—as much as I’ll miss bringing #RayPalmer to life. Love & blessings on a great finish to the season.”

Endgame Editor Reveals Alternate Versions of Iron Man’s Death Scene

Full SPOILERS ahead for Avengers: Endgame!

Robert Downey Jr. tried several variations of Tony Stark’s death scene in Avengers: Endgame, according to the film’s editor Jeffrey Ford.

“When we were putting together the end of the movie, when we shot Tony’s last moment in the first round, we shot a bunch of different options. Robert had different ideas,” Ford told Collider. “We shot a run of different performances for that last moment. Some of them were crazy. Some of them we would never have used.”

Fortnite Chapter 2 Leaker Sued by Epic Games

Epic Games is suing a UX tester for leaking details for Fortnite Chapter 2 ahead of its official release, according to new court documents.

As reported by Polygon, in a lawsuit filed to North Carolina courts Epic Games is accusing Ronald Sykes, or @inviiblellama9, or leaking information about Fortnite Chapter 2. In a court document, Epic says that the company is, “suing Sykes because he broke his contractual obligation to keep Epic’s secrets about the upcoming season of Fortnite, Epic’s popular video game.”

Epic claims that information “is currency,” and that Sykes “cashed in on what he learned as a User Experience tester for Epic.” The company is asking for injunctive relief and maximum damages for the leaks and breach of a non-disclosure agreement, along with legal fees.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Single-player Review

After taking a year off in 2018, Call of Duty’s single-player campaign has come roaring back in the revival of the Modern Warfare name. For my money, this is the best campaign the series has seen since 2010’s Black Ops; and if that sounds like a backhanded compliment, I don’t mean it as one. Though it stops short of being as provocative and button-pushing as it seemed poised to be, it is nevertheless an extremely well-designed first-person shooter that refreshes the franchise format just enough with a few cool new ideas and some smart new takes on others we haven’t seen in years.

The plot of Modern Warfare’s rebooted storyline starts out trying to blur the lines between good and bad, but it ends up quickly establishing the good guys as very clearly good. The US team is led by memorably mustachioed fan-favorite Captain John Price, while the sister and brother duo of Farah and Hamir head up an insurgency movement fighting to push Russian forces out of their fictional home country of Urzikstan. That’s right: it’s cool to shoot at Russia again.

Ryan Reynolds Almost Played This Role in Zombieland 2

Ryan Reynolds was the first choice for the role of Albuquerque in Zombieland: Double Tap.

The writers of Zombieland (also the writers of Reynolds’ Deadpool movies) spoke to Deadline about their long-awaited zombie sequel. They revealed that scheduling and Reynolds’ desire to spend time with his family led to the role going to Luke Wilson.

“We made it a goal to do only Ryan Reynolds movies,” Paul Wernick joked. “But this one slipped through our fingers. Luke was amazing and it worked out terrific for us.”

Why Disney Can’t Buy Theater Chains

You might think that Disney can do just about anything, and you’d almost be right. They’re extremely powerful and they’re taking over rival studios and controlling multiple streaming services, but there are still limits to just how far they can expand. We know this because other studios tried it and they eventually got busted.

First, a primer: Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox earlier this year will have long-lasting ramifications on the film industry, some of which are probably easy to predict, some less so. While many audience members are celebrating the fact that the X-Men can now join forces with the Avengers (eventually), there are many practical concerns that have people throughout the industry deeply concerned.

PSA: You Can Play The Outer Worlds For Cheap Or Even Free Today (Xbox One, PC)

The products discussed here were independently chosen by our editors. GameSpot may get a share of the revenue if you buy anything featured on our site.

Just in time to play newly released RPG The Outer Worlds, there are several deals floating around right now for Xbox Game Pass, a subscription service that grants access to over 200 games. That library now includes The Outer Worlds, which Xbox Game Pass owners can start playing today, as well as Gears 5, Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 4, and more. If you’re an Xbox or PC owner who hasn’t quite been sold on Game Pass yet but want to play The Outer Worlds, here are the best ways to gain limited-time access for way less than its list price of $60.

Get your first month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $1

To promote Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the newest subscription that combines Xbox Live Gold with Xbox Game Pass for console and PC, Microsoft is offering the first month of Game Pass Ultimate for $1 for new subscribers. This is a great offer to take advantage of, but if you only want the one-month membership, remember to cancel your subscription before the 30 days are over to keep from being charged the usual $15 the following month. The same $1 offer is also available for Xbox Game Pass for PC.

Eat Taco Bell and get 44 days of Game Pass Ultimate

By far the tastiest deal we’ve seen, Taco Bell and Microsoft are offering a free 14-day Game Pass Ultimate trial when you buy any $5 Taco Bell box or $5 grande nachos through the app or website. You’ll receive an email with the unique code to redeem, and you must redeem it by November 24.

According to noted Twitter user Wario64, you can extend your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial by a month by turning on recurring payments for your account, upping your trial period to 44 days (make sure that setting is turned off before redeeming, so the change registers). Plus, you’ll have Taco Bell to enjoy while playing The Outer Worlds, so this is a win-win situation.

Get a free month of Xbox Game Pass for PC from Alienware

Alienware is giving away thousands of codes for a free month of Xbox Game Pass for PC. While originally open to everyone, Alienware has now limited this offer to members that are Level 2 or higher. If you have an Alienware account that’s at least Level 2, here’s how to claim the free Xbox Game Pass code, according to the giveaway details:

If you take advantage of this free code, remember to turn on recurring payments to claim an additional free month of Game Pass for PC (or, if you already have Ultimate, 20 prorated free days).

If you decide you like Game Pass, there’s a great deal for Game Pass Ultimate right now at Newegg. Using code EMCUTVY32 at checkout, you can get three months for $40, and you’ll get another three months on top of that for free.
