Amazon Orders New Sci-Fi Noir Series from Westworld Creators

Last Spring, Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight, Person of Interest) and Lisa Joy (Burn Notice) landed a whopping $150 million five-year deal with Amazon. One of the their first projects announced was an adaptation of William Gibson’s 2014 sci-fi novel, The Peripheral.

An Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Subscription Appears to be Coming

Only two months after launching a (comparatively expensive) subscription option in the mobile Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo appears to be bringing a subscription plan to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

A ResetEra user by the name of ZeoVGM (as reported by NintendoLife) caught some details of the new subscription service, dubbed “Pocket Camp Club.” The new service will apparently launch on November 21 this year, with two subscription tiers available to select from. Pricing details haven’t been officially revealed yet. That said, Mario Kart Tour’s one subscription service currently costs players $4.99/£4.99 a month, so it’s possible Nintendo will follow a similar plan.

Netflix’s The Crown: Season 3 Review

This is a mostly spoiler-free review for Season 3 of The Crown. All 10 episodes are currently available to stream on Netflix.

Back when The Crown’s showrunner, Peter Morgan, announced that the series would undergo a recast every two years in order to properly depict the passage of time for the residents of Buckingham Palace, the news was met with intrigue, but also a good bit of skepticism. How do you replace an already fantastic ensemble without disrupting the chemistry and overall look of the show? Remarkably, Morgan is able to usher in the new cast led by Oscar-winner Olivia Coleman by crafting a captivating batch of episodes that explore the royal family’s complex relationships with each other, and with their subjects. There might be new faces wearing those fancy clothes, but The Crown’s third season has the same heart and soul that made its first two seasons so unmissable.
