Dying Light 2 Launch Window Announced

Dying Light 2 is coming Q2 2020. The announcement came during the Microsoft E3 2019 Xbox conference.

This is the first mention of a release window since the game was announced, and narrows things down significantly, although we don’t have a concrete Dying Light 2 release date just yet.

Last week, we were treated to art teasing a new Dying Light 2 UV light mechanic. The UV lighting hurts and confuses the infected, so it’s used as a protective measure among the living.

Gears 5’s New Escape Mode Is Like a 3-Player Combat Puzzle

The best advice I was given for playing Escape, the Gears 5’s new co-op game mode, was to crank it up to the highest unlocked difficulty and work backward from there. I pride myself on being able to adapt to gaming challenges quickly, so I figured I could get a quick victory – plus I was playing with two people who worked on the mode.

Unlike Horde’s pressure to defend, Escape asks you to, well, escape. And quickly. In it, a group of up to three players (online or local co-op!) must make their way through a maze-like Hive as their own deadly venom bomb trails behind while plenty of Swarm wait ahead. Even knowing new enemies and weapons awaited, I figured my special companions and I could handle it.

Dragon Ball Project Z Is Called Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

What was previously called “Dragon Ball Project Z” is now titled Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and it will arrive in early 2020.

Revealed at Microsoft’s E3 2019 Xbox conference, we got a good long look at the game in action, with all cell-shaded battles and energy beams you’d expect from a Dragon Ball game.

During the Dragon Ball Project Z unveiling back in January, we learned the game will let players “discover the story of the mysterious Dragon Balls,” and “join Goku and fellow warriors in the never ending search for the ultimate fight.” The previously released reveal trailer featured such characters as Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, Frieza, and many more as iconic scenes and locations from Dragon Ball Z were showcased.

E3 2019: Marvel’s Avengers Game Coming To Google Stadia, Square Enix Confirms

Marvel’s Avengers is one of the most anticipated games of E3 2019, and while it’s yet to be fully revealed, we’ve now learned one further detail about the game: it’s coming to Google Stadia, in addition to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The news was revealed by the game’s official Twitter account. It tweeted an image of a large poster advertising the game at the LA Convention Center–the venue for E3–and on that poster, the four platforms can be seen. A notable omission, however, is Nintendo Switch, so it seems as if the Avengers game will not be coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console.

Marvel’s Avengers is the first chapter in a multi-game partnership between the comic book titan and Square Enix. The initial trailer confirmed that the world it is set in hasn’t been too kind to superheroes–perhaps they’ve even been demonized. “They say the time of heroes is over,” a narrator says in the original teaser trailer. “That if you’re different, you’re dangerous. But I know the truth. The world will always need heroes. We just need to reassemble.”

Square Enix has said Avengers “is being designed for gamers worldwide and will be packed with all the characters, environments, and iconic moments that have thrilled longtime fans of the franchise.” The game is being developed by Crystal Dynamics, the studio behind the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot and its sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider.

For more on the upcoming superhero game, check out everything we know about Marvel’s Avengers (the game). We’ll hopefully learn more very soon during Square Enix’s E3 2019 press conference.
