Great Red Dead Redemption 2 Xbox One Deal At Walmart

You might have noticed that a certain cowboy game has been getting lots of buzz lately. If you have an Xbox One and have yet to pick up Red Dead Redemption 2 (or have someone on your gift list in that situation), you might want to jump on this deal. Walmart is selling Red Dead Redemption 2 and a $10 Xbox One gift card for $60. Better yet, if you’re a new customer, you can create an account and get an extra $10 off by entering promo code ELLEN10 at checkout.

There’s no similar deal on the PlayStation 4 version of the game, although the promo code would still work to knock $10 off the price. The code gets new customers $10 off an order of $35 or more and is valid until it’s redeemed 50,000 times or while supplies last. Notably, Red Dead 2 isn’t among the games we’ve seen discounted for Black Friday.

We’ve seen a few Red Dead Redemption 2 deals pop up since the game launched on October 26, but they don’t tend to last very long–particularly discounts on the PS4 version. The lowest we’ve seen it go is $48–a price that’s still available for the Xbox One version on Ebay at the time of this writing.

In our Red Dead Redemption 2 review, Kallie Plagge wrote, “Some frustrating systems and a predictable mission structure end up serving that story well, though it does take patience to get through them and understand why. Red Dead Redemption 2 is an excellent prequel, but it’s also an emotional, thought-provoking story in its own right, and it’s a world that is hard to leave when it’s done.”

If you end up buying the game, you can check out these 15 useful Red Dead 2 tips and take a look at our guides and cheat codes to give yourself a leg up in the old west.

First Gears Pop! Gameplay Revealed

The Coalition has provided a first look at Gears Pop! gameplay, which offers a condensed real-time strategy experience with a few special Gears of War touches.

Revealed in a developer video, you can watch a single PvP match between studio head Rod Fergusson and lead game designer Tyler Bielman. Though a “soft” launch is coming soon, a wide release of the game will come sometime in 2019 for iPhones and Androids.

“The object of the game is to play out your units and push forward and take down the outposts and the leader at the opposite end of the field,” said Bielman.

You progressively take cover attempting to get to the other end of the field: destroying an enemy outpost at the other end will net you a single point. A power bar at the bottom of the screen fills up in discrete segments, with each unit costing a certain ammount of these segments to play.

Fish Trophy Locations — Fortnite Week 8 Challenge Guide (Season 6)

Challenges for Week 8 of Fortnite Season 6 are now available. You can see a full breakdown of them in our Week 8 challenges roundup, and you’ll probably notice one in particular that looks like it’s going to require some more time and effort than the rest. This challenge asks players to find a fish trophy in seven different named locations around the island and dance in front of them. Here’s where to find them.

If you’ve been paying very close attention to the environments in your time with Fortnite, you may have a good idea of where these fish trophies are. But if you haven’t, fear not, because we’ve put together a list of their specific locations below. It’s important to note that the “named locations” part is very important, as there are some fish trophies that aren’t in named locations, and dancing in front of them won’t contribute to completing the challenge.

You can take a look at the locations of the fish trophies below and also watch us complete the challenge in the video above.

Why BioShock’s Splicers Had to Seem Sympathetic

The first few times players encounter a splicer in BioShock, it’s one of the scariest and weirdest moments in modern gaming. For Joe Fielder, who helped design the high-flying world of BioShock Infinite, it wasn’t just a chance to create an intimidating enemy type, it was a chance to humanize one of gaming’s most iconic factions, and he learned how to do it at the hands of BioShock director Ken Levine himself.

“I’d done a pass on

, and

and another one of the writers, Drew Holmes, gave me feedback,” Fielder said on this month’s episode of IGN Unfiltered. “Ken opened up his playbook on how he came about writing the Splicers and some of the influences: Requiem for a Dream, other things like that,
