Yuri on Ice Marathon Coming to Theaters in the U.S.

Yuri!!! On Ice is coming to U.S. theaters this October.

Crunchyroll has announced it is partnering with Fathom Events to bring the Yuri!!! on ICE Series Marathon to select United States theaters on October 13. Tickets, along with a complete list of participating theaters, are available on the Fathom Events website.

The marathon, which will last four hours and fifteen minutes, will feature the subbed version of the show’s entire 12 episode run and tell the story of Japanese figure skater Yuri Katsuki and Russian figure skater Yuri Plisetsky. Fans who attend the event will also be treated with a video message by the series’ producer.

Mid90s Review: Jonah Hill’s Directorial Debut

This is an advance review out of the Toronto International Film Festival.

Jonah Hill’s impressive directorial debut Mid90s is full of heart, fun and a sense of longing to belong somewhere that will surely resonate resonate with audiences. Hill explores adolescence and the idea of trying to find your tribe, of doing anything to fit in and the satisfaction we get when we feel like we belong. It is also a very funny movie, with some pitch-dark moments.

Mid90s actually begins, though, like a horror movie. We look into the narrow hallway of a run-down house as Stevie (Sunny Suljic) is thrown out of a room by his older brother Ian (Lucas Hedges, in a much meaner role than we have seen him in before). Ian is beating Stevie like a ton of bricks, and the sound design amplifies each punch to do as much audible damage to the audience as they do psychological damage to Stevie. Yet as soon as Ian leaves, Stevie enters his room, admiring his brother’s posters, music collection, and lifting his weights just to feel what it would be like to be Ian. Despite the constant beatings and abuse, Stevie idolizes his brother because he is desperate for a role model.

This time around, Venom comes to Eddie first, and it’s their struggle to develop a symbiotic relationship that is at the center of the film.

Exclusive Trailer for The Miz and WWE’s The Marine 6

Check out the brand new trailer below for WWE Studios’ The Marine 6: Close Quarters, which aired during last night’s “Hell in a Cell.” The sequel — which stars WWE Superstars Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, Shawn Michaels, and Becky Lynch — hits Blu-ray, DVD and Digital on November 13th from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

In The Marine 6: Close Quarters, Jack Carter (“The Miz”) and another former Marine, Luke Trapper (Michaels), join forces to rescue a kidnapped girl (Louisa Connolly-Burnham) from a gang of international criminals headed up by Maddy Hayes (Lynch).

The cast also includes Terence Maynard (Edge of Tomorrow) and Tim Woodward (K-19: The Widowmaker).

The film is directed by James Nunn, written by Craig Walendziak, produced by Michael J. Luisi and executive produced by Richard Lowell.

Rockstar Offers a Peek at Red Dead Redemption 2 Locales

Rockstar Games today released new screenshots and artwork of several locations around Red Dead Redemption 2’s frontier, cities, and towns.

The newly released images showcase how varied Red Dead Redemption 2’s environments are. The images show what looks to be in-game facsimiles of real-world locations like the Rocky Mountains, the Great Plains, and New Orleans, complete with the typical Rockstar approach of assigning those locations their own in-game names.

First up is Valentine, which Rockstar refers to as, “A raucous, rough-and-tumble town in the Heartlands” with livestock auctions that “attract traders, ranchers, cowboys, gamblers, outlaws, and prostitutes from far and wide, all looking to make some money, raise some hell, and have a good time.”
