Netflix Reveals Spooky New Photos for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

So far, we’ve seen glimpses of the titular teenage witch, but now Netflix has released the photos and character breakdowns for the other cast members starring in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which reimagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft.

Fans who grew up with the ’90s Melissa Joan Hart sitcom won’t find much familiar here beyond character names – and for good reason; Netflix compares the show’s tone to Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, although there’s doubtless a dash of Riverdale in the show’s creative DNA, since both shows are overseen by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also serves as chief creative officer of Archie Comics.

There’s New Destiny 2: Forsaken Content For Everyone Now That The Raid Was Beaten

For some players, a new Raid in Destiny 2 is a non-event–the release of an activity that’s only for hardcore players. For others, it essentially is the game. Wherever you may stand on the matter, the recent launch of Forsaken’s Raid, Last Wish, is significant. While it took nearly a full day for the first team to complete it, that milestone marked the release of new content for all Forsaken players.

After Team Redeem were awarded the title of world’s first team to beat Last Wish, a number of changes happened for everyone. When first logging in after its completion, players now receive a notification (pictured below) titled Curse Unleashed. It states, “A team of six Guardians entered the heart of the Dreaming City and slew Riven of a Thousand Voices. They had no way of knowing that was exactly what Riven wanted…”

When you next head to the Dreaming City, you’ll also receive a brief cinematic with Petra offering up a similar, ominous sentiment (and she’ll be upset when you speak with her). It’s bad news from a story standpoint, but it’s actually great for players. In the Dreaming City, players can now find a brand-new Strike called The Corrupted that’s been unlocked;. It carries a recommended Power level of 500 and is described in-game as such: “Hunt down one of Queen Mara’s most trusted advisors and free her from Taken possession.” You can watch the full Strike above.

That’s not all; for those who want to spice up the competitive side of the game, Gambit has gained a new map. This is now a part of the regular rotation; you can see it along with the Strike in the gallery above.

Additionally, The Drifter offers an additional weekly bounty. At least for the first post-Raid week, this is called On the Grind, and it requires you to earn points by doing various things in Gambit–secure kills, defeat enemy Guardians, and bank Motes. Complete that within a week of purchasing it, and you’ll earn Infamy points and, more importantly, a piece of Powerful gear.

Additionally, you can find a new weekly bounty offered by Petra in the Dreaming City. Broken Courier tasks you with completing a mission of the same name. Like the Gambit bounty, the reward here is Powerful gear, making it an essential task for those seeking to raise their Power level. This mission seems to lead to something else, though just what is unclear

It remains to be seen if further changes and additions could still be introduced, but we do know Bungie has extensive plans to continue rolling out new content over the next year. That will include free and paid content, ensuring everyone (or at least those who own the DLC) continue to have reason to check back in with the game. Next up: Iron Banner’s return on September 18.

Ghost Rider’s Dad Is Now Batman’s Dad, Too

The upcoming Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix has just cast Brett Cullen as Batman’s father, Thomas Wayne.

As reported by ComicBook.com, Brett Cullen will play the role of Bruce Wayne’s father, Thomas, and will step into the role that was previously said to be portrayed by Alec Baldwin, which the actor had recently denied.

Cullen is no stranger to the DC Universe, or even the Batman franchise, as he played Barton Blaze in Ghost Rider and was a congressman in The Dark Knight Rises. In addition to those roles, Cullen has appeared in Person of Interest, The Replacements, and ABC’s LOST.

Attack on Titan Episode 46 Review

For as gory and merciless as Attack on Titan is, this episode puts previous dark, visceral episodes to shame. Biting humans in half is one thing, but this particular abnormal titan is a whole new level of just gross.

If you haven’t already caught up to this point in Season 3, turn back now. Full spoilers for “Ruler of the Walls” are ahead.

Last episode’s cliffhanger left off with a transformed Rod Reiss barreling toward the Orvud District. “Ruler of the Walls” follows the Scouts’ daring gamble to save the district, and features probably one of Attack on Titan’s more clever battles too.

X-Men’s Bryan Singer in Negotiations to Direct Millenium’s Red Sonja

X-Men: Apocalypse director, Bryan Singer is reportedly in negotiations to direct Millennium’s Red Sonja, according to THR.

Singer would helm the adaptation of the 1970’s Conan the Barbarian comic spinoff, while writer of X-Men: First Class, Ashley Miller will take on the screenplay.

Millennium is producing the new Sonja movie and hopes to create a franchise from the audience that is connected to Wonder Woman.

They have had a Sonja film in the works since 2008, at the time with Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan who made an announcement at that year’s Comic-Con. Writers have been coming and leaving the project ever since.

New Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Video Shows Who The Real Action Hero Is–Sorry, Chris Pratt

Sure, Chris Pratt might be the highest-billed star in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and he finds himself in the middle of several big action scenes featuring dinosaurs, villains, rain, guns, and quite a few more wrinkles that make things difficult. As it turns out, though, he’s not the true action star of that movie.

As you can see in a special video from the movie’s Blu-ray release, which is debuting exclusively on GameSpot, it’s actually young Isabella Sermon, who plays Maisie Lockwood, who’s the real hero. In the clip, the young actress is preparing for what is likely her most impressive moment in the film. “I’ve rehearsed for the big stunt, which is Maisie sliding down a massive glass roof,” she says. “This morning we practiced actually on the set, where Maisie’s climbing along the roof and the Indoraptor smashes out of a window.”

In the finished film, this particular moment is pretty thrilling as the stormy night creates complications. As shown in the video, though, things were much more controlled on set, as the mansion was actually built inside of a soundstage, with production creating the rain.

Still, this scene sees Maisie and Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) take quite a few tumbles, where a stunt person could have easily stepped in for the hard work. Sermon wasn’t about to let that happen, though. “I’m just working with Izzy, who’s earned the name ‘the kid rock,’ because she does all of her own stunts.”

Who could blame her, though? Getting chased by dinosaurs, sliding down roofs, and saving the day is all anyone could ask for when starring in a Jurassic World movie, right? “It’s quite fun,” Sermon says with a smile.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is out on digital now and will be released on Blu-ray and 4K September 18. For more from the home release, take a look at this shocking revelation from Jeff Goldblum. Also make sure to check out our Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom pre-order guide.

Biggest New Movie Releases In Theaters, On Netflix, And On Demand This Week

The fall traditionally sees the release of the many of the prestigious movies that are awards-contenders, and 2018 is no different. Over the next few months, expect to see films such as First Man, Widows, and If Beale Street Could Talk hitting theaters, while many of the big summer movies move to VoD and streaming. Of course, the big talk in Hollywood this week is the Emmy awards, but there’s still several great movies being released.

This week, the fantasy adventure movie The House With a Clock in Its Walls hits theaters, with Cate Blanchett and Jack Black in the lead roles. John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix star in the dark comedy western The Sisters Brothers, and there’s violent teen satire in the blood-splattered Assassination Nation. On digital formats, the thriller sequel Sicario: Day of the Soldado and horror sequel The First Purge are out to buy, while Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is now available to rent.

The landscape for consuming movies has really changed over the past few years. The biggest films still debut in the old fashioned-way–in theaters, with home releases still a few months off. But with the rise of streaming and Video on Demand, we are increasingly seeing simultaneous releases for smaller movies, with films getting a limited theatrical release on the same day that they are available to buy and rent digitally.

The rise of Netflix and Amazon as major players in film production has also disrupted standard release patterns. Netflix in particular has attracted some major directors, and their movies will bypass theaters entirely and premiere worldwide on the streaming platform. And of course, movies that did get a theatrical release continue to move to digital platforms after a few months. This is a great way to catch up on movies you might have missed on the big screen–or are keen to rewatch. So here’s our look at the best and most interesting new movies in theaters and available to watch at home this week.

The New GeForce RTX 20 Series Nvidia Preorders Are Live, But Hard to Get

If you buy something through this post, IGN may get a share of the sale. For more, read our Terms of Use.

The GeForce RTX 20 series graphics cards are coming out this week, and from basically the moment preorders went up, they were hard to find. They sold out quickly, from all manufacturers to all different retailers. It’s a bit of a bummer if you were hoping to dive, head-first, into the next generation of GPUs from Nvidia. However, all is not lost.

Your best bet for getting your hands on an RTX 20 series Nvidia card is to buy a prebuilt PC, of which there are MANY options to choose from. The main advantage to a prebuilt is you upgrade everything in one fell swoop, so you don’t need to worry about surprises. Nothing sucks the fun out of a room faster than realizing the PSU on your current rig isn’t going to handle the new GPU, or any of about a million other potential surprises.
