Apple Watch Series 4 Announced

At today’s Apple Special Event, Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 4.

The Series 4 watch will come in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm, that both feature screens that are “over 30 percent larger” than previous Apple Watches, with the screen now going completely to the edges of the watch. There have been minimal changes to the overall case size, but it’s thinner and has less total volume than the Series 3.

It includes a digital crown that is reenginered with haptic feedback that gives physical clicking sensations while scrolling and a speaker that is 50 percent louder than previous watches.

Apple Watch Series 4 will begin at $399 US for the GPS model, and $499 US for the cellular equipped model. The Series 3 line will now start at $279. Orders for the Apple Watch Series 4 begin this Friday, and shipping starts on September 21. The Series 4 GPS will be available in 26 markets at launch, and cellular in 16 markets with 34 carriers. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair Should Be Fighting Inside a Cell

We’re just a few delicate days away from WWE’s Hell in Cell “Pay Per View Event Streaming Exclusively on the WWE Network” and while everyone’s buzzing about Braun Strowman’s new stable, the Dogs of War (*chef kiss*), and his use of the entire RAW heel roster (his “Pack?”), and the fact that newly-permed Mick Foley will be the special guest ref for Braun’s Cell match with Roman Reigns, it’s easy to forget that there’s a second Cell match on the card.

Ideally, Hell in a Cell would only feature one Cell match, but with the brand split you can understand the need for other folks (from the over-shadowed Blue Brand) to get a chance to air their grievances inside Ol’ Celly. Having one Cell match, though, allows for it to feel a teensy bit more special while relieving some of the pressure to out-do and out-wow not only previous years, but also the other big Cell match on the same card.

Spider-Man’s Tombstone Villain Explained

The superhuman mob enforcer known as Tombstone has made life tough for Spider-Man for decades. While a recurring player in the Spider-Man comics for the past 30 years, Tombstone isn’t necessarily the most well-known member of Spidey’s rogues gallery. But he is one of the scarier villains Peter Parker has faced.

Here’s everything you need to know about the ruthless villain known as Tombstone.

Tombstone Explained: The Basics

With all the colorful characters vying for control of New York’s criminal underworld in the Marvel Universe, it takes a special breed of gangster to stay competitive. That’s never been an issue for Lonnie Lincoln. A rough upbringing molded him into one of the most feared killers in the city, one who more than justifies the nickname “Tombstone.” Even the most powerful crime lords in New York like Kingpin and The Hood recognize Tombstone’s talent for getting the job done and sending his enemies cowering into the night. After all, it takes a special breed of fighter to go up against the Amazing Spider-Man and walk away unscathed.

Michael B. Jordan Reportedly Being Considered to Replace Henry Cavill as Superman

Following today’s news that Henry Cavill is reportedly done with the role of Superman, Deadline reports that Warner Bros. has considered casting Michael B. Jordan in the role for future installments down the road.

iPhone XS, XS Max, XR Comparison — Which New iPhone Is Best For You? (Apple Keynote 2018)

During the company’s 2018 keynote, Apple announced three new iPhones. Both the iPhone XS and XS Max are releasing this September, while the XR will launch in October. Here’s how they differ, including a look at their key specs.

The XS and XS Max are packed with new features, the most notable of which all have to do with both phones’ cameras. Both mobile devices come equipped with a dot projector, IR camera, and RCB camera, as well as Smart HDR to ensure you capture the best possible pictures when your subject is moving or bathed in shadow. You’ll also be able to adjust the depth of field of your pictures after you’ve taken them.

Both the XS and XS Max have surgical grade stainless steel chassis, putting them both at higher price points than the XR. The XS has a starting price of $1000 while the XS Max–with its larger screen–starts at $1100. Pre-orders for both start on September 14, and release on September 21.

With the XR, you’ll be losing a few features. Even though you’ll also be able to adjust depth of field with the XR, the phone only has one rear camera. The XR uses 7000 series aerospace-grade aluminum instead of stainless steel, and has a less vibrant LCD screen–as opposed to the XS and XS Max OLED screens.

These sacrifices make for cheaper prices, though. The iPhone XR starts at $750. Pre-orders won’t be available until October 19, and the phone will officially release on October 26.

Although the camera and chassis are the most noticeable differences between the XS series and the XR, there are a few other changes as well. The full list of features that come with the XS and XS Max, as well as the XR, are available on Apple’s website. We’ve outlined the major differences below.

Apple Keynote 2018 Reveals New, Cheaper iPhone XR With Release Date And Price

As expected, Apple revealed several new iterations of the iPhone during its Keynote 2018 address. In addition to the iPhone XS and the bigger XS Max–this year’s follow-ups to the iPhone X–Apple unveiled the rumored “budget” version of the handset, the iPhone XR.

As 9to5Mac reported ahead of the Keynote, the phone will feature a 6.1-inch, edge-to-edge LCD screen that Apple calls the Liquid Retina Display. This gives the device a bigger display than an iPhone 8 Plus in a smaller overall handset. The phone comes in three different storage sizes–64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB–and will be available in six finishes: black, white, red, yellow, blue, and coral.

Apple bills the iPhone XR as “the iPhone X experience in an LCD display.” It boasts the same set of features found in other iPhone X models. Like those, the phone doesn’t have a home button; rather, you simply tap to wake it and swipe up to return to the home screen. It offers an hour and a half more battery life than the iPhone 8 Plus and features haptic touch and Face ID.

The iPhone XR starts at $749. It launches on October 26, with pre-orders beginning on October 19. The other newly revealed iPhone models, the XS and XS Max, start at $999 and $1099, respectively, and launch later this month on September 21.

There were many other announcements during Apple’s Keynote 2018 address, such as a new Apple Watch Series 4. You can catch up on all of the news from the presentation in our full Apple Keynote recap. Pokemon Go Will Soon Let Players Suggest PokeStops, But There’s A Catch

Pokemon Go players will soon have the ability to suggest new PokeStops. Developer Niantic has announced it will be rolling out a beta for a PokeStop nomination system–but you’ll only be able to participate in it if you live in a specific region.

The PokeStop nomination beta will initially only be available in Brazil and South Korea. Moreover, the feature will be limited to players who’ve hit Pokemon Go’s level cap, 40, further narrowing the list of potential participants. Niantic says the beta will expand to other regions–and potentially more Trainer levels–“over time,” but the developer hasn’t announced any further details beyond that.

If you do live in one of the aforementioned countries and have reached the appropriate level, you’ll be able to nominate an area to become a PokeStop. To do so, you’ll need to submit a photo and description of the location you have in mind to Niantic. The studio will then consider the suggested Stop “for future inclusion in the game.” Additional details about the process can be found on Pokemon Go’s support website.

The PokeStop nomination system is presumably one of the surprise features Niantic CEO John Hanke teased in a recent blog post. Hanke wrote that the developer was working on “even more ways to play together” that would roll out this fall. The official Pokemon Go Twitter account also recently teased that there are “many new Pokemon yet to be discovered,” which is potentially another hint that Gen 4 Pokemon will arrive soon.

Niantic is kicking off the Ultra Bonus Event in Pokemon Go on September 13. For a limited time, the three Legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will return to Raid Battles, while other Pokemon originally from the Kanto region will spawn more frequently through the end of the month. Most notably, the previously EX Raid-exclusive Mewtwo will appear in regular Raid Battles from September 20 to October 23.
