New Ready Player One Video Channels Halo, Mario Kart, And Willy Wonka

Each time a new look at the upcoming Ready Player One movie arrives, it comes loaded with new bits of nostalgia to thrive on. Whether it’s the Iron Giant, the DeLorean from Back to the Future, or King Kong and a Tyrannosaurus Rex rampaging through the streets, the Steven Spielberg film looks to be packed with eye candy.

The newest clip takes that idea to an entirely new level, thanks to the song it features. The new teaser is set to a cover of “Pure Imagination,” originally performed by Gene Wilder in the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

A journey into a world of pure imagination is a perfect way of describing a movie like Ready Player One, which is largely set in a virtual world filled with famous characters and moments from the pop culture landscape, including films, TV, and video games. This latest extended trailer even includes a nod to the Halo franchise, with a group of UNSC Spartans running into battle, which you can see below.

Elsewhere in the new teaser, there is a mention of Super Mario Kart, an appearance by Hello Kitty, and one of the most massive chase sequences you can imagine. Ready Player One stars Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, Ben Mendelsohn, and Simon Pegg. It races into theaters on March 29.

Every Marvel Movie, Ranked From Worst to Best

The Marvel universe is vaster than just a team of Avengers. But instead of listing every film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we’ve taken the liberty of rankingevery single Marvel movie in the universe (including those outside the MCU) according to Metacritic’s unique score system.

Let’s start with one we’d rather forget. It’s not very often Marvel is involved in a movie that so blatantly swings and misses. Shackled by horrible reviews, bad dialogue and lackluster action scene, 2015’s Fantastic Four reboot is the lowest-rated Marvel movie ever.

The film received a 27 on Metacritic.

New Fortnite Update Adds A Giant Teddy Bear Parachute, Because Why Not

Despite sharing a similar premise, Fortnite: Battle Royale differs from PUBG in a number of ways, such as with its building mechanics. But at first blush, the most noticeable difference is Fortnite‘s cartoonish art style. That less serious vibe extends to other areas of the game, whether it’s with the item that allows you to conceal yourself as a friendly little bush or the Boogie Bomb grenade that forces affected enemies to dance. This is also embraced with the game’s cosmetics, and one added in Fortnite’s new update is especially silly.

As in PUBG, players start out the match in a flying vehicle (in this case, a bus) that passes over the island. When you’re ready, you jump out and eventually deploy a parachute to ensure a safe landing. There are various glider options to unlock, and the latest is Bear Force One. This is essentially a giant inflatable Valentine’s Day-style teddy bear (standing atop of set of wings) that functions as your glider.

Just like other such replacements, this is purely cosmetic; it doesn’t have any impact on gameplay, though–given how big it is–it certainly won’t do anything to help make your landing location a secret. But what’s a little sacrificed stealth in the name of cuteness?

Of course, this does come at a cost. Bear Force One costs 1,500 V-Bucks. This can be earned to some extent through gameplay (if you own the Battle Pass or have access to Save the World mode), but it’s primarily obtained through real-money purchases, and 1,500 V-Bucks is roughly equivalent to $15/£12. It’s one of several pricey new Valentine’s Day cosmetic options, along with the Tat Axe (800), Cuddle Team Leader (2,000), and Love Ranger (2,000). The latter has already been shown to have some hilariously creative uses, given the right circumstances. You can see all of these in the gallery above.

These items are available only for a limited time, so you’ll want to act fast if you’re interested. Be aware that V-Bucks will now be the lone way of purchasing the upcoming Season 3 Battle Pass, despite earlier statements saying otherwise. 11 Things We Learned About KH3 at D23 Expo Japan

Even after a presentation at D23 Expo Japan, we still don’t know exactly when in 2018 Kingdom Hearts III is coming, but during the presentation a lot of new information about the game has come to light. Many of this got lost in translation since the presentation was not streamed and only in Japanese, but IGN Japan was in the room, so let us tell you all the cool new things we learned about the game.

Let’s start with the obvious stuff. In the newly revealed trailer, Monsters, Inc. was introduced as the second Pixar world introduced for the game after Toy Story. Sora, Goofy and Donald are clad in monster-like outfits, and they will be teaming up with Sully and Mike to traverse through a world with gimmicks, obstacles and foes that match the setting of the Monsters, Inc. universe.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Cast in Kung Fury Movie

Arnold Schwarzenegger joins the cast of Kung Fury, the feature-length sequel to the cult short film of the same name.

No word yet on who Schwarzenegger will play in the movie, but he’ll star alongside the recently cast Michael Fassbender and David Hasselhoff. David Sandberg, who wrote and directed the original 2015 Kung Fury, will also star in and produce the sequel under his Laser Unicorns’ banner.

Kung Fury’s story takes place in Miami in 1985, and follows the titular cop and his Thundercops police force fighting crime in the streets of Miami. Path of Exile’s Bestiary Expansion Is Targeted at the Hardest of the Hardcore

As far as free to play games go it’s hard to keep and maintain an audience. Getting something for free means no risk on the consumer’s part; they can come in and get out relatively quickly if they don’t like it. It says a lot about a free game that’s managed to not only regularly increase its player base, and also crank out enough regular content to keep the most hardcore players occupied, but that’s exactly what Grinding Gear Games has been able to do with Path of Exile.

This spring it will receive a new update – titled Bestiary – that adds tons of new activities, items, recipes, and challenges for high-level players…all for the low price of free. We got a chance to see some of the content players can expect from the update.

Black Panther Tracking to Beat Deadpool’s Box Office Record

Excitement for Black Panther continues to climb, as do estimates for its opening weekend at the box office.

As such, Black Panther is on track to surpass Deadpool’s domestic debut, setting a new box office record for both Presidents Day weekend and the month of February in North America. In 2016, Deadpool garnered $152.2 million over the four-day holiday weekend.

Why Everyone’s Watching ER on Hulu Instead of New TV

ER wasn’t the only medical drama to premiere in the fall of 1994. It wasn’t even the only medical drama set in Chicago to premiere that year. But it’s easily one of the best television series ever produced, and its pilot should be taught to anyone who wants to tell stories for a living, regardless of the format. The show gave us a world you could truly sink into every week.

All 331 episodes of ER are finally streaming on Hulu, and the difference between it and its descendants is striking if you happen to segue directly into another show. Perhaps the most jarring experience is going from the ER pilot to Fox’s recently premiered The Resident, an endpoint to the genre’s evolution that began with ER.

Opinion: Red Faction Guerrilla 2 Can and Totally Should Happen Now

What I’m about to tell you isn’t some grand insight or revelation. I’m simply going to tell you what we’re all thinking, in the (fairly unlikely) event that the Powers That Be at Zombie THQ (aka THQ Nordic) aren’t also already thinking it:

Red Faction Guerrilla 2 can and absolutely should happen now.

Yesterday, THQ Nordic – which has been quietly getting the band back together recently – made their biggest THQ Reunion 2018 move yet, acquiring Deep Silver and its owner, Koch Media. Deep Silver, you may recall, ended up with both the Saints Row franchise and Saints Row developer Volition in the THQ bankruptcy auction from back in 2013.
