Some Switch Games Seemingly Won’t Support Cloud Saves

One of the features Nintendo has touted for its paid Switch Online service launching later this month is cloud saves for games. However, it appears that not all Switch games will get support for the feature.

Game Informer first reported that Nintendo’s webpages for first-party games Pokemon Let’s Go, Pikachu, Pokemon, Let’s Go Eevee, and Splatoon 2 contains a message indicating they will not support cloud saves. The pages for third-party titles Dark Souls Remastered, Dead Cells, FIFA 19, and NBA 2K19 also have the message.

Here’s What Iron Fist’s Season 2 Ending Could Mean for Season 3

This article contains spoilers for the Iron Fist Season 2 finale, titled “A Duel of Iron.” Read our review of Iron Fist Season 2 here.

Iron Fist completely upended its own mythology in the Season 2 finale, imbuing Colleen Wing with the titular power from the Heart of the Dragon after Davos was defeated, and sending Danny Rand and Ward Meachum on a quest to learn more about the history of the Iron Fist in Asia (and hopefully “find themselves” in the process).

When we caught up with them in Japan “months later,” Danny and Ward were attempting to track down the man who shipped the mummified corpse of a former Iron Fist to New York – a man named Orson Randall. Apparently, the duo had been searching for Orson everywhere from Hong Kong to Jakarta, where Danny apparently stole a couple of handguns with special powers from one of Orson’s shipments. When fired, the pistol’s glowing bullets were somehow able to meet, merge and disintegrate a shot fired at Danny, as if controlled by his will.

Monster Hunter World Halloween-Themed Fall Event Starts Soon

Capcom is kicking off Monster Hunter World‘s second seasonal event very soon. The Autumn Harvest Fest begins on PS4 and Xbox One later this month, on September 21, and it features a new set of quests to complete along with special Halloween-themed items and equipment to get your hands on.

During the event, the Celestial Pursuit will be adorned with colorful Halloween and autumn-themed decorations like leaves and pumpkins. You’ll receive two Lucky Vouchers as part of your daily login bonus throughout the Autumn Harvest Fest, as well as one Autumn Harvest Ticket. You’ll need to collect enough of the latter to craft the new Autumn Harvest Fest gear.

In addition to that, Capcom says that “almost all” previous Event Quests will be available during the Autumn Harvest Fest, as will a handful of event-exclusive quests. Limited-time bounties will rotate daily; completing these will earn you either Harvest Fireworks or Autumn Harvest Tickets. All facilities will also hold sales during the event, and the Gathering Hub will offer “special seasonal platters.”

Finally, all players will receive the Pumpkin’s Revenge costume for their Poogie. The Handler will also have a special Halloween-themed clothing option for the duration of the event in the form of the Mischievous Dress. You can take a look at those two costumes, along with some of the Autumn Harvest gear you can get, in the gallery above. The Autumn Harvest Fest event runs until October 4.

Capcom rolled out Monster Hunter World’s big 5.0 update on PS4 and Xbox One back in August, which introduced a variety of Final Fantasy XIV-inspired content, including Behemoth as a new monster to battle. Meanwhile, the PC version of the game recently received its first major update, adding the fearsome Deviljho and its corresponding equipment.

How a Simple Mistake Helped Night of the Living Dead Become a Classic

George Romero’s horror classic Night of the Living Dead is where the modern concept of the zombie as we understand it today really started. The film didn’t just essentially launch the zombie sub-genre, but it remains to this day eminently re-watchable — truly one of the giants of horror cinema.

And indeed, as the film hits its 50th anniversary this year, it continues to inspire new fans, new works, and new critical evaluation. The new book Journey of the Living Dead: A Tribute to Fifty Years of Flesh Eaters, by Dr. Arnold T. Blumberg, celebrates 100 years of cinematic zombies with an analysis of how Night of the Living Dead permanently impacted the media landscape. Blumberg, who is an occasional contributor to IGN, has provided us with an exclusive excerpt from the book which delves into the curious case of NOTLD’s copyright, of lack thereof, and how it helped to contribute to the film’s massive success. Read on for the full excerpt…

There’s nothing that takes me out of a game more than frame tearing. I mean, my day-to-day life is visually smooth and fluid, and I expect as much from my video games. But sometimes things get out of sync, and the fabric of visual reality is torn. (I’m still talking about video games here and not my life; honestly!) G-Sync is Nvidia’s solution to the scourge of frame tearing, but what are they exactly, and what causes them?

Kingdom Hearts’ Mobile Game Will Let You Unlock a Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 3

Fans who’ve been waiting years for Kingdom Hearts 3 won’t get to play the full game until next year, but they can at least experience some of its minigames right now.

Square Enix has released an update to the Kingdom Hearts Union Cross mobile game, which brings the previously announced Kindom Hearts 3’s Classic Kingdom minigames. The minigames, which you can see in the gallery below, are modeled after portable LCD gaming systems from the ’80s.
