Pokemon Go Legendary Moltres Returning This Saturday For A Limited Time

Pokemon Go players will soon have another chance to capture the Legendary Pokemon Moltres. As a reward for completing the Global Challenge during last week’s Safari Zone event in Yokosuka, Japan, the Legendary bird will return to Raid Battles this Saturday, September 8, but it’ll only be around for a very limited time.

Like Pokemon Go’s Community Day events, the upcoming Moltres Day will only last for three hours, during which time you’ll be able to encounter the Legendary Fire-type Pokemon as a Raid Battle at Gyms. The event will occur around the world, but the hours will vary region by region. You can see exactly when it takes place in your region below.

North America

  • 11 AM – 2 PM PT
  • 2 PM – 5 PM ET

Europe, Middle East, and Africa

  • 10 AM – 1 PM BST
  • 9 AM – 12 PM UTC

Asia-Pacific

  • 12 PM – 3 PM JST

To participate in a Moltres Raid, you’ll first need to have a Raid Pass. During the event hours, you’ll be able to receive up to five free passes by spinning the photo disc at a Gym. This time around, every Moltres you capture will know the Flying-type move Sky Attack. Players will also have a chance to encounter a Shiny version of the Legendary Pokemon.

Like Ho-Oh, which also recently returned to Raid Battles, Moltres is a dual Fire/Flying-type, which makes it particularly vulnerable to Rock-type attacks. The most effective way to defeat it is to use powerful Rock Pokemon like Golem, Tyranitar, and the game’s newest Legendary, Regirock.

Speaking of Regirock, the Legendary Pokemon will only appear in Raid Battles until September 20, so you only have a little more time to add one to your collection if you haven’t already. Shortly after it leaves the game, Niantic will host this month’s Community Day, which takes place on Saturday, September 22 and features the Gen 2 starting Pokemon Chikorita.

Black Ops 4: First Blackout Trailer Shows Off Call Of Duty’s Exciting New Mode

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be the first game in the series to introduce a battle royale mode, and now we’re getting a better look at some gameplay on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In the new trailer above, you can see some of the wild-looking combat as the camera pans the Blackout map, including vehicle, boat, and helicopter combat along with plenty of explosions. Zombies make an appearance as the gameplay area shrinks; these are separate from those in the expanded Zombies mode that Black Ops 4 includes.

“A true celebration of the series, Blackout features fan-favorite characters, weapons, and iconic parts of classic maps, all in the largest map in franchise history complete with land, sea, and air vehicles,” Activision and Treyarch said when announcing the trailer. Players will get their chance to try Blackout themselves very soon, too; a private beta for the battle royale mode will begin on September 14 on Xbox One and PC (PS4 players get in early, on September 10). To get access, PS4 and Xbox One players will have to pre-order the game, but PC players can give Blackout a try even without buying the game.

We’ve been getting new information about Blackout, including its total player count. Treyarch recently told Game Informer that the beta will cap at 80 players per match. That’s less than Fortnite and PUBG’s total player counts, but the developer defended the choice, saying it is putting quality of gameplay ahead of quantity of players. The game’s design director, David Vonderhaar, also said Blackout won’t necessarily always run at 60 FPS (but it won’t be locked at a lower frame rate, either). Check out the Blackout map, below.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 12. The game also includes a handful of other new and returning modes: including multiplayer and an expanded Zombies experience. It will also feature a new addition to the game, signature weapons, which are cosmetic-only variants of guns that you unlock by completing challenges. Black Ops 4 won’t feature a traditional single-player campaign, though; rather players will go on solo missions that each focus on a different Specialist character.

It’s hard to talk about high-end mechanical keyboards without mentioning Das. Known for their high-quality, understated boards, Das is shaking things up with its new gaming-focused X50Q, which can display all kinds of notifications using its per-key RGB lighting. The company bills the X50Q as the “first cloud-connected keyboard,” but is that just marketing talk or something that’s actually useful?

Why Marvel’s Spider-Man’s PS4 Photo Mode Is So Great

Photo Modes have become a staple of the PlayStation 4’s exclusives library — and with a built in Share button on the controller, a staple of the console itself. None has been so bespoke — and creative — as the photo mode for Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Available Day 1 as part of a new patch, the photo mode has the standard customization options we’ve come to expect — focus changes, lighting adjustments, and filters. But Insomniac Games has taken the mode to a delightful new level, as seen in the gameplay of it above and the gallery below.

(Warning: There are some suit spoilers toward the end of the gallery — don’t click through the last three or four photos if you don’t want some of the suits before you play.)

Spider-Man PS4 Guide: 11 Tips You Should Know Before Starting

When you first jump into Marvel’s Spider-Man, you’re likely going to be taken aback by the complexities of its combat and web-swinging. Developer Insomniac has done a great job at making each system an interesting one that allows you to be creative while also expressing yourself as a player. While web-swinging will undoubtedly be easier to pick up, you’re likely going to run into some issues properly executing the right combat moves during the right situations in a fight. There’s a lot to the mechanics at work and it might catch you off guard, especially if you’re more accustomed to the systems of other superhero games.

Spider-Man is a much more agile and acrobatic character to play as than, say, Batman from the Arkham games. So, if you’re thrown off by that, don’t worry: we were too. But with enough practice, you can embrace and learn all the skills and abilities that Spider-Man has to offer and more.

To help prepare you for the challenges ahead, we’ve compiled 11 tips you should know before starting Spider-Man. In this feature, we outline the best practices in combat, the types of skills you should prioritize unlocking in the game’s skill tree, and other habits you should follow in order to come out successful.

Spider-Man releases on September 7 on PS4. GameSpot reviewer Edmond Tran said the game is “a superior Spider-Man experience that leaves a lasting impression.” You can read more in our full review. As the day goes on, look out for our in-depth guide highlighting the best skills, as well as our feature about the coolest best mods and suits mods in the game. And if you’re loving what you’re playing, you’re in luck. The game’s first DLC expansion is set to launch on October 23.

In the meantime, were there any Spider-Man any tips you have that you don’t see here? Let us know about them in the comments below.
