Sea of Thieves New Patch Aims to Fix Respawn ‘Griefing’

Sea of Thieves’ patch 1.0.2 goes live today, and with it, Rare is looking to fix one of the biggest issues players are having in the shared-world pirate game – having to fend off an endless number of respawning enemy ships.

In a patch notes post on the Sea of Thieves forums, the developer has listed a number of fixes and changes being introduced in the patch, but first and foremost is the ship respawn distance.

“When a ship sinks, we have significantly increased the distance at which the crews new ship will respawn. Ships will now respawn outside of visible view of the ship that sank them. This is in response to lots of player feedback which highlighted that the previous spawn distance was resulting in “griefing” behaviour and stalemates at the forts!”

Bruce Wayne Uses Sex as a ‘Drug’ in Batman v Superman

Zack Snyder continues to share some deeper meanings about Batman v Superman, this time revealing that Bruce Wayne uses sex as a drug.

Snyder explained on Vero (via Batman-News), that sex helps Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) forget about his pain for a short time. In a scene from the film, Bruce Wayne wakes up from a nightmare with a woman in his bed. A painting by Robert Mapplethorpe can be seen hanging above his bed while Bruce Wayne takes some painkillers.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds console players that use third party devices like Xim to play with a keyboard and mouse won’t be able to do so forever.

When asked whether there were any plans to curb console players’ use of keyboard and mouse in the game, PUBG’s community coordinator Dan “RoboDanjal” tweeted that they have been “gathering in-game information regarding third party device usage over the past few months.

“Although usage of these devices is statistically very low, fair gameplay is core to our experience, and we will be communicating our plan to curb the use of these devices soon.”

Fortnite Devs Slow Down Patch Schedule to Improve Bug Fixing

Epic Games has announced that they’ll be slowing down their Fortnite patch schedule to once every two weeks to improve bug fixing.

The fortnightly patch schedule will alternate with the new Content Updates, confirmed a PR spokesperson, and won’t affect the weekly content for the game. Players will still get new features every week without the need for an update.

“Starting this week, we are doing things a little differently. Every other week we will drop new content without the need for an update,” Epic explained. “These will be called Content Updates. This new cadence allows us to iron out more complex bugs, while continuing to provide fun content every week.”

Marvel’s Spider-Man Features Unlockable Suits, No Microtransactions

Marvel’s Spider-Man will feature unlockable Spidey suits, which come with distinct abilities – and you won’t be able to get them through microtransactions, it seems.

As part of a Game Informer cover feature, Insomniac revealed three new suits (some more certain than others) beyond the developer’s own new costume:

  • Spider-Punk – Part of the game’s pre-order bonuses, this combination of a sleeveless denim jacket and a spike mohawk adds the strange ability of allowing Peter to pull out a guitar and play a sonic shockwave knockdown attack.
