During the latest Nintendo Direct livestream, the release date for SaGa Frontier Remastered was revealed. It’ll be launching for Switch on April 15 (and for PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile). Along with updated visuals, the classic RPG from Square Enix will feature a new scenario for Asellus, one of the game’s several protagonists, and a new playable character named Fuse.
SaGa Frontier was the first in the SaGa franchise to release outside of Japan, and stood out for its science-fantasy setting, turn-based combat, and free-form story with multiple protagonists. Soon it’ll be playable on modern platforms.

Nintendo and Koei Tecmo are releasing more content for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. As revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, the game is getting an Expansion Pass that will add new weapons, characters, and more.
The Expansion Pass is divided up into two waves of content. The first will arrive this June and expand the game’s roster, introduce new weapon types, new challenges, and more challenging enemies. The second wave will follow this November and adds “new character vignettes” as well as more stages, characters, and battle skills.
The Expansion Pass costs $20 USD. As an extra bonus for purchasing the pass, players will get a new weapon and costume for Link. These will be available starting May 28.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity launched for Switch back in November 2020 and has been a big sales success. Not only was it one of Amazon’s top 10 best-selling games of 2020, it is also the best-selling musou game of all time according to Koei Tecmo.
We scored the Zelda spin-off a 6/10 in our Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity review. “Despite how much I’d invested in this version of Hyrule and the nagging feeling of leaving things unchecked on a map left me with, I stopped taking on side missions, stopped helping people build up Hyrule and prepare for the Calamity. I had started out completely on board with seeing Age of Calamity’s story through, being with the citizens of Hyrule until the bitter end, and just killing some baddies. By the end, I was doing these tasks more out of obligation than anything else,” critic Suriel Vazquez wrote.

During February’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that Miitopia, a 3DS game that first released in Japan in 2016 and the rest of the world in 2017, is coming to Switch on May 21. Preorders are already live.
This Switch port adds new customizations options, including brand-new make-up options and wigs. You can see all the changes in the trailer below.
The rest of the game plays similarly to the original 3DS game–you create and put forth custom Mii characters into various roles across an evolving kingdom. Whether your Mii becomes the hero or the next dark lord is up to you, and the kingdom as a whole will be influenced by your actions.

Ninja Gaiden is getting a second wind on Nintendo Switch this summer. The Ninja Gaiden Master Collection compiles Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razer’s Edge into one package. It’s coming June 10.
Just in case that’s not enough ninjitsu action for you, the collection will also include all of the associated DLC across all three games.
The rebooted Ninja Gaiden series was notorious for its fast-paced action and challenge.

The Mario items will be available to order from Nook Shopping starting March 1, and they include Question Blocks, Super Mushrooms, Whomps, Fire Flowers, and more. You’ll also be able to purchase warp pipes, which you can place around your island and travel between the two locations.
In addition to the furniture, various clothing items based on Super Mario characters are being added to the game. The Direct showcased outfits based on Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Princess Peach.
Nintendo has been steadily rolling out new updates for Animal Crossing: New Horizons since its release last year. The game’s most recent update arrived back in late January and introduced the Festivale event as well as new reactions and a variety of seasonal items.

No More Heroes 3 is now planned for launch on August 27.
No More Heroes 3 was first revealed at The Game Awards in 2019, where we saw Travis Touchdown return to Santa Destroy after being gone for ten years. Since then, we’ve gotten only a few other glimpses at the game, including a trailer last summer mostly hidden by Suda51’s head, and another trailer a few months later accompanying the announcement of No More Heroes 1 and 2 coming to the Nintendo Switch.
