Stranger Things Season 3: What Happened to [SPOILER]?

This post contains spoilers for Stranger Things Season 3.

Stranger Things hasn’t had a particularly high body count among its regular cast members throughout its first two seasons (sorry, Barb and Bob), which led many fans to speculate that one or more main characters might die in Season 3 – but after the Season 3 finale, we’ve got a lot of questions about one of our heroes in particular. Jump past the Mind Flayer for more…

Does Stranger Things Season 3 Have a Post-Credits Scene?

Nowadays, post-credits scenes are as common as the superhero movies that popularized them, and even TV shows are getting in on the action.

Despite the fact that Season 1 and Season 2 of Stranger Things didn’t contain any bonus scenes, Stranger Things Season 3 does include a post-credits (or technically mid-credits) scene after the finale ends, so when you start to see snow floating across the credits, don’t click away or let Netflix autoplay whatever’s next on your list, since there’s a fairly major reveal halfway through that seems to set up Season 4.

The Most “American” Games

It’s the Fourth of July, which means that – for our American readers, at least – it’s the day we mark as when the United States officially cast off the rule of King George III and declared our independence.

Regardless, we here got to thinking about how video games have become such a prevalent form of entertainment in the US (yes, across the rest of the world as well, but it’s our birthday so it’s gonna be about us today), and how so many games have chosen to use the good ol’ US of A as a backdrop – both literally and metaphorically – to tell their stories. So, before we leave to don our best, most ostentatious red, white and blue getup and gather ’round someone’s laptop or phone for the traditional Watching of Bill Pullman Talking About Aliens, here are some of our picks for the Most American™ games of all time.

Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC Mentioned in Social Club Source Code

Reference to a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been found in the source code for Rockstar’s Social Club.

Discovered by Twitter user JakoMako51, the source code contains the phrase “RDR2_PC_Accomplishments”. Accomplishments are the Social Club equivalent of Xbox Achievements and PlayStation Trophies, and the system was used for Grand Theft Auto 5.

We’d expect a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC version to use Accomplishments, too, and so this discovery is a potential hint to the fact that Rockstar’s hit Western may be on its way to PC.

Forza Horizon 4 Adds Free Top Gear DLC

Forza Horizon 4 will be getting a crossover with Top Gear, the popular BBC auto series. Microsoft announced that the free update is available now, with loads of new vehicles and some cosmetic options for your driver.

The Top Gear content is narrated by Chris Harris and features seven new story chapters. The actual race content will let you drive a 1999 Lotus Elise, Austin taxi, the Top Gear modified Mercedes-Benz E-AT, a 65 Mini Cooper, Porsche 911 GT2 RS, G65 6×6 AMG, and the Guinness record-setting 500bhp Track-tor.

Finishing the Top Gear missions will unlock the E-AT Mercedes Benz and Track-tor, along with an “I am The Stig” shirt and white overalls for your driver. A trailer shows off some of the Top Gear gear.

Like all of Microsoft’s first-party games, Forza Horizon 4 is included with Game Pass, the company’s all-you-can-eat subscription service for Xbox One and PC. The game has been putting out DLC on a pretty regular basis, including premium Lego Speed Champions-themed content announced and released during E3 2019.

PES 2020 Has No “Plans To Integrate Women,” Konami Says

Women’s football is more popular than ever before, with the ongoing 2019 World Cup enthralling audiences across the globe. While EA added women’s teams in a limited capacity back in FIFA 16, PES has so far eschewed the women’s game entirely. Publisher Konami has now confirmed that stance will continue in PES 2020.

“I personally support the women’s game and have been following the World Cup closely,” the series’ European brand manager, Lennart Bobzien, told GameSpot in a statement. “However we currently don’t have any plans to integrate women into eFootball PES 2020.”

EA’s series holds the licensing rights to feature the FIFA World Cup competitions–for both men and women’s teams–so it’s unsurprising the tournament hasn’t been featured in PES in an official capacity.

However, it’s disappointing to see the women’s game not represented at all in PES given the sport is now more popular than it has ever been. For example, the England v USA World Cup semi-final on Tuesday had the highest peak audience of any TV show this year in the UK, with 11.7 million people tuning in to BBC One concurrently–a 50.8% audience share. Women’s football is arguably of a higher standard and has enjoyed increased media coverage than ever before.

Manchester United, PES 2020’s newly-unveiled partner club, themselves launched a women’s team in 2018. The upcoming season will see them compete in the top division of English women’s football, the Women’s Super League, after being promoted last term.

PES 2020 launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 10. A demo version, which includes online and offline match types as well as the game’s edit mode, will launch on July 30. Stay tuned to GameSpot for a full PES 2020 gameplay preview.
